This is a LOADED 2003 FORD EXPEDITION XLT. It has been stored inside winters and properly maintained by an ASC Certified Tech. It is in excellent mechanical and cosmetic shape. IT HAS A NEW SET OF TIRES, BARELY USED as well as the optional tow package. There is some wear on the interior leather of the driver's seat a a bit overall on front passenger and first rear bench. (one small tear is shown in the pictures on Driver's seat. Also, the steering wheel has a new after-market cover.) otherwise this is a Luxury gem and a true pleasure to drive. This is what a 3D-printed liquid metal Ford Torino looks like
Sat, 12 Oct 2013Artist Ioan Florea has encapsulated a 1971 Ford Torino with 3-D-printed liquid metal transferred onto the car using technology that he developed, and the result is a stunningly shiny, seamless design.
"The surface has the highest coefficient of reflectivity never achieved before," Florea told us in an e-mail, using "nano-materials and nano-pigments that create an internal three-dimensional structure and dictate the polymer how to behave." Sure... We'll leave it to him to make any more 3-D-printed liquid metal-transferred art pieces.
Florea grew up in Romania, and the motivation behind picking the old Ford as his canvas came from his childhood memories of what an American car is - "big and wide and fascinating," he says - and the European name of the car itself, which it shares with an Italian city.
Official USPS Muscle Cars stamps coming to a mailbox near you
Thu, 21 Feb 2013As much as our digital lives have cut down on our trips to the post office, there are still times that sending "snail mail" is necessary. With us car lovers in mind and philately in their hearts, the good folks at the United States Postal Service will introduce a new stamp design called "Muscle Cars" starting on February 22.
Designed by artist Tom Fritz, the new collection of stamps consist of five classic muscle cars: 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona, 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS, 1967 Shelby GT-500, 1966 Pontiac GTO and 1970 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda. In addition to just the stamps, the USPS is also commemorating the new series with plenty of collectable memorabilia. Previous car-related stamps include 50s Sporty Cars from 2005 and 50s Fins and Chrome from 2008.
