I'm selling my 1999 Ford Expedition 4dr. SUV 4WD Eddie Bauer 5.4L. The mileage is 150,000+. It does require a new starter, and a new power cord for the starter. This is the only issue with it. Anyway, I'm selling it for 'as is' for $3,600 O.B.O. I've recently replaced the brakes as well as the alternator. The right plastic red LED cover on the back is cracked, but I have already purchased the cover from Main Street Auto, and will include it with the car for an extra $25 (the cost for me will be $50). Also, the grey plastic bumper on the back is drooping a bit, however this is really only a cosmetic issue. The driver side automatic window isn't working, and the A/C needs freon. The odometer sometimes works, and sometimes doesn't. Currently, I can't get it to come back on, but the mileage is about 165,000. It has leather Eddie Bauer seats, it's 4-wheel drive, and the VIN # is 1FMPU18L2XLB59033.

Ford ST Octane Academy [w/video]

Wed, 04 Jun 2014

The ST school is about more than just handbrake turns, hot laps, and sliding into parking spaces.
I felt like such a rock star. On my second pass around the UrbanCross course (read: fancy autocross) at the Ford ST Octane Academy, I absolutely nailed the exit, sliding the bright-yellow Focus ST sideways into a box the size of a parking space, all four wheels in line.

We spy the Ford Mustang King Cobra early at SEMA

Tue, 04 Nov 2014

As is the case with most auto shows, waiting for the reveal of hot new models is the worst part. So, while our own Drew Phillips has been wandering the halls here in Las Vegas since they unlocked the doors for SEMA 2014, we didn't expect him to come back with any big reveals until later in the day. Until this happened.
Meandering by the Ford stand, Phillips eagle-eyed a trunk lid that caught his attention. Popping out from an otherwise draped 2015 Mustang, the matte black lid clearly has the name King Cobra embossed on the rear.
That name is interesting for a few reasons: to start, Ford hasn't used the Cobra name (without "Jet" attached) since way back in 2004, so a new snake is certainly something to take note of. Second, the King Cobra name dates all the way back to the ill-remembered Mustang II, meaning there is a clear link to Blue Oval history here.

These Canadians somehow forgot how to drive in snow

Tue, Dec 6 2016

Montreal drivers experienced a slow-motion pileup on their streets this weeks thanks to the first snow fall of the season. According to the CBC, slippery conditions caused a small pileup involving cars, buses and even a street clearing vehicle. Onlookers in neighboring office buildings watched as vehicle after vehicle slid down Cote du Beaver Hall and crashed into the scrum of waiting cars. First there was a city bus, then a white Ford F-150 work truck loaded down with ladders, then another city bus came along and sandwiched the poor F-150. A Montreal Police Charger then came down the hill backwards, hit the bus in a slow, sad crash before it was crashed into by an out of control plow truck. Since its posting yesterday, the video of the crash has gone viral. Various other vehicles–a green-topped Scion delivery truck and a couple workaday sedans–were lucky enough to escape the pileup, but still suffered through a white-knuckled slippery descent down the hill. Colin Creado, who works nearby the crash site, told the CBC although it was pretty slippery, he was surprised at all the carnage since the storm was forecast well in advance. "You would have thought ... they would have salted the area or at least cordoned it off, because that road is pretty steep," he told the station.
