This truck has been used as a station car and weekend vehicle for the past 13 years. I am the 2nd owner and bought it with only 21,000 miles on it from a guy who used it on weekends only. I have had it serviced regularly and never had any major issues or repairs on it including the 4WD. Overall it is in decent shape, but by no means perfect - it is almost 18 years old and I will try to list all everything I can remember about the truck. There is a long scratch down the driver and passenger side doors from being keyed at the RR station a few years back. Doesn't seem to be down to the metal, just through the clear coat and paint. There are a couple of stains and wear marks in the carpet, but mostly by the driver's seat. I would say 95% of the time, I was the only one in the car. No rips or tears in the leather seats at all. The back seat was rarely used and the 3rd row seat has been sitting in my basement ever since I bought the truck. The overhead light (one of the two) needs to be replaced - the little unit holding the bulb, not the bulb itself. The AC and heater both work fine. 6 disc CD player works fine. One of the back speakers distorts at high volume, but since I listen to sports talk radio, it doesn't bother me too much. If I think of anything else, I will update the page. I will add more pictures this weekend including the interior, but I wanted to get this out there as soon as I could, since I now have a replacement for this one. Low miles for the age compared to similar vehicles on eBay right now and hopefully someone can drive it for another 100,000 miles as these seems to last forever. Being sold AS IS. Tests drives are welcome on the weekends. Feel free to ask me any questions and I will try to answer them ASAP. |

Unrestored 1969 Shelby GT500 one of many classic barn finds going to auction
Wed, 19 Mar 2014We love a good barn find here at Autoblog. We like that there's a palpable excitement and sense of mystery surrounding barn finds. Each case has its own uniqueness to it, and this latest discovery is no different: an unrestored, one-owner 1969 Shelby GT500 with just 8,531 miles on it.
In the case of this particular barn find, many of the typical questions have already been answered. For example, we know who owned it - his name was Larry Brown. He recently passed away, and as he had no wife or children to inherit the estate, the car he purchased at Pennsylvania Ford dealer in May of 1969, will be auctioned off by Ron Gilligan Auctioneers.
The car was fastidiously maintained, having never been driven in the rain. In fact, Brown never even washed it, out of fear of it rusting. According to the auction website, the last time this car saw water was probably when it was detailed ahead of being delivered to Brown. If that doesn't sound like a fanatical sense of maintenance on the part of this GT500's owner, this next part will. The interior has been treated to a similarly painstaking attempt at preservation, with garbage bags covering the seats and two layers of floor mats over the carpets. The result is a car that, aesthetically, is in remarkable shape considering it's spent so long in a barn.
Focus RS shreds in prep for Goodwood hillclimb
Tue, Jun 23 2015The Goodwood Festival of Speed is rapidly becoming a second home for Ford's hottest versions of the Focus. Last year, the updated Focus ST and high-performance diesel debuted there, and this year the motoring event has been selected to show off the new 2016 Focus RS. To get a little exercise before speeding up the hill climb, the Blue Oval unleashed its upcoming hyper hatch on a Belgian test track. Based on this clip, Ford's test driver has absolutely no problem whatsoever in making the Focus RS slide, at least with the stability and traction control off. Interestingly, while the RS shares its 2.3-liter EcoBoost with the latest Mustang, the Blue Oval's engineers give it a much different exhaust note here. Rather than a growling muscle car, this example has much more of the staccato bark of a rally-bred machine, which is a great fit. The all-wheel drive, 315-horsepower Focus RS should be arriving at dealers soon, and we're definitely looking forward to seeing and hearing it take on the Goodwood hill during the upcoming event. Xcar gets the scoop on Ford's strategy for the GT at Le Mans in 2016
Fri, Jul 3 2015Ford's plan to return to the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2016 with the latest GT might have been one of the worst kept secrets in motorsports in recently memory. Even before the road car debuted at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show, rumors were flying about the Blue Oval's strategy. The wait for the official announcement just before this year's race was certainly a long one, but it was probably worthwhile just to see the competition version's spectacular looks. Xcar recently got the chance to interview Ford about the company's objectives for the new racer's development. Both the GT racing and street programs are meant as ways to advance cutting-edge technology and potentially let it trickle down to less-expensive models in the future. This is especially the case when it comes to finding ways to make carbon fiber cheaper and better. Of course, the supercar is also a showcase of what Ford can do competitively, and apparently there are patent-pending suspension parts the company isn't even talking about yet. Ford would love to score a class victory at Le Mans next year, and is pretty clear here and in its earlier promo video that it sees Ferrari as a major rival in the race. While that makes sense historically, the cross-town competitors at Corvette could be an even bigger challenger. That squad has a more recent legacy of success in the 24-hour challenge, including a victory in the GTE-Pro class this year. Related Video:
