I am a Dealer here in town and am offering this Excursion for sale. I have 100% positive feedback here on Ebay and plan to keep it that way so rest assured you will know exactly what you are buying from me before you get here. I have personally owned a 7.3 Excursion in the past If you are in the market for one of these trucks I am well aware that you know all about them and know exactly what you want. I am representing this truck EXACTLY as it is as I know most buyers will be extremely picky. This Excursion is COMPLETELY 100% STOCK and as it came to me from the owner. I understand the bar is set very high for these trucks so I have photographed it in bright sunshine as to illustrate the exact condition and how it looks in person. I have not buttered this truck up to sell in anyway. Many Dealers put these on the lift and spray paint the entire suspension black to hide rust and take pictures at sunset in order to illustrate the truck as being showroom new. I do not do that. This Excursion is in nice shape, the body of the truck is rust free, the paint is nice, the carpets are nice, the leather looks good for its age and does not have any rips. Underneath does have some surface rust as you can see in the pictures but nothing is rotting away. It has been well kept and drives exceptionally well. It will last you for several hundred thousand more miles. The only major notable flaws are a crack in the drivers side mirror housing, a cheap part that I plan to replace , 2 of the L brackets that hold the left running board on are broken so the step board is loose and the weld on the factory muffler has seperated as you can see in the picture. These are all inexpensive fixes but want the buyer to see what needs attention. You must make arrangements to pick the truck up in person. I will not get involved in any shipping as I want the buyer to see exactly what they are buying before making payment. The best way to reach me is by email. If you would like to discuss the Excursion by phone I can call you just please send your phone number in an Email and I will call you. Please understand that Ebay is a legally binding contract so please bid what you feel comfortable spending on the vehicle. This is not a bidding game to negotiate a lower price upon arrival so please make sure you have all questions answered before you bid. You are welcome to make an offer but I dont want to play the price game. I have pictures I can email you if you are unable to see what ebay provides. We are located about 20 miles west of New York City in Montclair. Thanks and good luck. |

Radical RXC is a Mustang-hearted racecar for the road
Fri, May 30 2014Radical has been building fantastic open-cockpit racers and roadcars for years, for the track day enthusiast who wants a vehicle that looks like it could show up for a start at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The company's latest creation is the RXC, and while this coupe looks like a prototype racer, it's road legal in the UK and in some parts of the US. When testing a car this, um, radical, the first thought is likely to get it to the track for some big slides and wide open acceleration, but XCar Films takes the opposite approach in its latest video to learn how this racer fares on public roads. The version tested here is the standard RXC with the 3.7-liter V6 out of the Ford Mustang tuned to 350 horsepower with a seven-speed sequential gearbox; but Radical also offers the same engine with 380-hp, a 454-hp Ford EcoBoost 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6, or even a 500-hp V8. Even in the most basic guise, it's a handful to control in the wet, if this video is any indication. The cliche of a road-legal racecar is bandied around a lot in the motoring world, but it truly applies to the RXC. The only problem with seeing the RXC exclusively on the road is that it can never really open up and show its full potential. This racer is indeed chomping at the bit to rocket off into the horizon, but all those pesky road safety laws hold it back. Still, the video is a chance to get a better impression about this thoroughbred sports car. Scroll down to check it out. This content is hosted by a third party. eBay Find of the Day: 1970 Ford Torino King Cobra prototype
Wed, 08 May 2013Over the last decade or so, competition in NASCAR has led to some pretty funky looking racecars. And when the sport was still up and coming, the tight competition actually led to some interesting production cars. The Dodge Charger Daytona and Plymouth Superbird are perhaps the most well-known cars of the sport's "aero wars" era but the Ford Torino King Cobra might have been the most memorable of all, if not for some different homologation rules established in 1970. The Torino King Cobra never made it to production and never competed in NASCAR, but three examples exist including this one now for sale on eBay.
Designed as a successor for the aero-tuned Torino Talladega, the Torino King Cobra has a sleeker front end with hidden headlights and a sloped nose. As the story goes, NASCAR made a rule change in 1970 requiring 3,000 of the vehicles to be produced, which was substantially more than the 500 units required by the previous rule. One of the three prototypes ever built - and the only one built with the Boss 429 engine - is now for sale on eBay with a starting bid of $500,000. With a little more than three days left on the auction there are still no bids, but in the grand scheme of things this seems like a relatively fair price for a rare piece of automobile and racing history.
Weekly Recap: Matthew McConaughey's star shines brightly for Lincoln
Sat, Jan 3 2015The commercials were a little strange at first, but the ensuing spoofs were hilarious. And all jokes aside, Matthew McConaughey has made a difference for Lincoln. Advertisements starring the Oscar winner launched in September, and the results have been impressive. The number of customers clicking on Lincoln.com to check out the MKC – the crossover McConaughey pitched – has tripled since the ads began airing, a spokesman told Autoblog. They also generated 4.4 million views on YouTube and spawned parodies by Ellen DeGeneres, Conan O'Brien, South Park and Jim Carrey on Saturday Night Live, which racked up another 15 million views. Most importantly, Lincoln's sales have increased 15 percent through November, helped significantly by the strong launch of the MKC. Without the addition of the MKC, Lincoln's sales would have been essentially flat last year. The MKC has received solid reviews from consumers and the press, though it has had several recalls. "The overwhelming response to the MKC campaign sparked truly great awareness for Lincoln," Andrew Frick, Lincoln group marketing manager, said in a statement. Now Lincoln has launched another round of spots, which kicked off New Year's Day during college football bowl games. This time, McConaughey is hawking the MKZ sedan and its hybrid sibling. The spots, called Diner and Balance, use the same artistic formula as the earlier ads, with McConaughey intoning seriously about the cars in dramatic settings. They were shot over two days in Los Angeles and were directed by Nicolas Winding Refn, a Danish filmmaker who directed the 2011 move, Drive. The ads continue Lincoln's multiyear deal with McConaughey, who has said he's been long been interested in the brand. He starred in the 2011 thriller, The Lincoln Lawyer, as a defense attorney who worked out of a Town Car, though that was before his deal with Lincoln. In one of the earlier ads, McConaughey claims: "I've been driving a Lincoln since long before anybody paid me to drive one. I didn't do it to be cool. I didn't to it to make a statement. I just liked it." That sentiment appears to have worked for the MKC's launch, and with this new advertising blitz, Lincoln hopes it carries over to the MKZ.
