The Exterior is in good shape for its age, the body is straight and the paint has a good shine to it. It wasn't the nicest day out and I dont have the highest quality camera so its hard to capture the brightness and shine of the paint but it looks nice in person. There are a few very small scratches here and there as can be expected from an 8 year old truck but it looks good in person.

-The Interior is in pretty good shape. The seats are comfortable and in good shape, with no rips or tares. The carpets are clean and have been pretty well kept up.

-It drives nice and smoothly. Both the Engine and Transmission are smooth as glass. There are NO mechanical problems with the truck. It has no leaks of any kind. It runs excellent.

I have done my best to describe the truck as accurately and as honestly as possible. This is a nice Ford Excursion but do expect some signs of use as it is an 8 year old truck. The truck is sold "as is" with no warranty and I take no responsibility for any inaccuracies in the listing with regard to the condition, usage, fuel efficiency, mileage, warranty, reliability, or future vehicle usage. I am open to reasonable offers. If you have any questions feel free to call me at 201-427-O578...Please have all of your finances in order prior to bidding. I am also happy to assist with shipping to an out of state buyer.  Excursion is to be paid for in Cash or by Bank Wire only, no checks..  Located in Glen Ridge New Jersey

Has the 2015 Ford Mustang gained hundreds of pounds?

Sun, 01 Jun 2014

Automakers face competing interests when it comes to developing a new generation of vehicle. On the one hand, companies want to build their cars to be safer and better handling, with more equipment and maybe even larger dimensions over the model it's replacing. On the other hand, they strive to keep weight down to the benefit of both performance and fuel consumption. Usually something has to give, and in the case of the new 2015 Ford Mustang, those efforts may have resulted in a weight penalty of two or three hundred pounds.
This according to Blue Oval modifier Steeda Autosports, which states that "the 2015 Mustang ended up gaining 200-300 pounds in this remake". Despite the Mustang not being on the market yet, it would appear the leading Ford aftermarketer has been given early access to the 2015 model to help jumpstart its tuning efforts (a rather common development among trusted tuners). If Steeda's assertion is accurate, that would make the challenge of getting the new pony car up to speed for both Ford and aftermarket customizers like Steeda that much greater.
We're waiting for official word from Ford on the veracity of Steeda's claim, but if true, it's bound to be a bit of disappointing news for legions of Blue Oval performance enthusiasts. Watch this space for more.

2015 Ford Mustang 50th Anniversary Edition says 'happy birthday' in New York

Wed, 16 Apr 2014

Fifty years ago this week, Ford debuted the first-ever Mustang at the New York World's Fair. And to celebrate, the Blue Oval is offering up this special, 50th Anniversary Edition 2015 Mustang, which makes its debut at the New York Auto Show. It'll be a seriously limited affair, with only 1,964 examples of the special edition Mustang slated to be produced (the number chosen to coincide with the 'Stang's first year in production). But for those who raise their hands for the 50th Anniversary package, there's a pretty sweet package in store.
The 50th Anniversary Edition is based on the 2015 Mustang GT with the Performance Pack, and is only available in two colors: Kona Blue, or Wimbledon White (pictured). The car also comes fully loaded - the only option for buyers to choose is the transmission. Should you opt for the six-speed automatic, you'll get a limited-slip rear differential with a 3.55:1 final-drive ratio (the 50th Anniversary car is also the only way to get a slushbox-equipped 'Stang with the Performance Pack). Selecting the six-speed manual 'box will net you a Torsen differential with a 3.73:1 ratio. All 50th Anniversary cars will be powered by Ford's 5.0-liter, naturally aspirated V8, estimated to produce more than 420 horsepower and 390 pound-feet of torque in the 2015 Mustang.
Inside, there's a cashmere-stitched, leather-wrapped steering wheel, with a similar detail found on the instrument panel, shift boot, door inserts, seats, and center armrest. Two-tone leather/black upholstery is also part of the 50th Anniversary package, and of course, there's a special logo on the seats.
