Dallas, Texas, United States
No call please. e-Mail : FernRodesgbck@yahoo.com Very good condition 2005 Ford Excursion. Just sent two kids to college this yearand no longer need such a large vehicle. Everything on this Excursion workswell. Leather front seat bottoms and arm rests were recovered one year ago, soall leather is in good condition. Added an alarm with keyless entry. Added aftermarket (Kenwood) stereo/DVD that is linked to the overhead rear screen, all of which still works perfectly. Upgraded all speakers andadded Alpine amp with rear speaker box with two 10" subs. Added bull bar tofront with Rugged Ridge square LED lights wired to the fog light switch.Upgraded all interior lights, blinkers, and running lights to LED bulbs. Becausethey are LED, blinkers flash quickly, which can be changed with a cheap relay Inever bothered to buy and install. Yokohama tires are in great shape with lessthan 20,000 miles on them. I have driven this Excursion all over the westernUnited States with my family and would do it again. Daily driver for me untilrecent purchase of smaller vehicle. Triton V10 runs strong. Good A/C (front andrear). Paint is in great shape. I replaced the faded Ford logo on the grillethat you see on most Excursions this age. Heavy duty floor mats, withWeatherTech rear cargo liner. Just made lots of small replacements and upgradesto make this vehicle more fun and comfortable to drive. Clean, clear title(odometer listed "exempt" under Texas law because more than 10 years old, butshows actual mileage to the best of my knowledge and the person I bought from). This is a great Excursion in the last year they ever made them - one of thenicest you will find available anywhere.

2014 Roush Stage 3 Mustang
Fri, 26 Jul 2013Up until now, it's been some years since I managed to get behind the wheel of the hot Mustangs tuned by the folks at Roush Performance. My memories of those vehicles are fond, as the Roush up-fits usually make for better-driving examples of the iconic Ford pony, with better-tuned suspensions, excellent short-shift kits and, of course, huge additions of power. The wake-your-neighbors aural characteristics of these cars have been nothing short of outstanding, too.
But in the years since my last experience with the Roush formula, Ford's own development team has churned out some pretty potent 'Stangs. We currently live in a world where the Blue Oval will sell you a Mustang with 662 horsepower from the factory, and the recently departed Boss 302 remains one of the best Mustangs - and best sports coupes - the Autoblog crew has ever driven.
So with great-driving and hugely powerful Mustangs coming straight off the line at Ford's Flat Rock Assembly Plant, does the Roush package still offer that extra special something to make it stand out? I spent a week with a Stage 3 coupe to find out.
Feds open investigation into Chevy Express, Ford Freestar rust issues
Wed, 28 Dec 2011'Tis the season... for road salt. And with that, comes rust. And what does rust bring? Well, for Ford and General Motors, a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration investigation. According to The Detroit News, NHTSA is looking into potential recalls issues with Chevrolet Express vans and Ford Freestar minivans.
The feds have received five complaints that rust has caused leaking fuel filler pipes on 2003 Express vans. Separately, seven complaints have been filed over excessive rust in the rear wheel wells of 2004 Ford Freestar and Mercury Monterey minivans. The Freestar and Monterey went out of production in 2007. Neither issue has resulted in any crashes or injuries, according to the report.
Need for Speed movie casts Mustang in hero car role
Mon, 10 Jun 2013Dreamworks Studios, Electronic Arts and Ford Motor Company announced today that the Ford Mustang will play the lead hero car role in the upcoming Need for Speed movie, slated to hit theaters next February. Of course, the Mustang didn't audition for the role like we imagine the film's star, Aaron Paul of Breaking Bad fame, might have. Rather, Ford and Dreamworks struck a partnership deal that meant the Mustang could skip the casting couch. The deal will also see the film's universe populated with other Ford products (gratuitously so, we're guessing), and the automaker will also help the studio promote the video-game-turned-movie next year.
The hero car in question is a special one-off Mustang created by Ford that is making its debut at the E3 video game trade show as we speak. Powered by a supercharged V8 and apparently based on the Shelby GT500, the car's been modified with a widebody kit, 22-inch wheels, larger air intakes and twin hood nostrils. Ford also provided the film's production with an F-450 truck that will be called "The Beast" in the film's story, and a second Mustang to be used during filming as a camera car.
The Mustang's movie career is really taking off, with news of its Need For Speed casting closely following last week's release of the trailer for Getaway, a movie coming out in August that stars Ethan Hawke, Selena Gomez and another Shelby GT500. In addition to Aaron Paul and a modified Mustang, the Need For Speed movie also stars Michael Keaton (cop, we're guessing) and Dominic Cooper (villain, we're guessing), and is directed by Scott Waugh, who directed the Navy SEAL film Act of Valor in 2012.
