We bought this Ex after a very long process of deciding we would only ever haul a travel trailer and never buy a fifth-wheel RV. So we treated this truck like we were gonna own it forever - it really has been quite a fantastic truck, and we LOVE it! But the inevitable happened: We bought a fifth-wheel. Now we have nothing to tow with the Ex, so it's on the sale block. As a part of treating it like we'd own it forever, I've been slowly tracking down & taking care of all those pesky things the 6.0L Power Stroke needs for longevity. At last check, the ECT/EOT delta was around 8-9*, and I sent for a Blackstone Oil report at every oil change. EGR Delete Sinister Diesel coolant filter SCT Tuner DashBoss RiffRaff turbo sleeves Gauges: fuel pressure, turbo boost, EGT Turbo rebuilt by Tim's Turbos Blue Spring Upgrade Turbo oil supply upgrade All-metal turbo pipes Also...we just put on brand new tires, and the rear wheels are mostly rebuilt (caliper, bearings, seals, dust shields). This is a VERY clean truck, and I'm continuing to make it CLEANER for you - the new owner! It has the "typical" East Coast underbody rusting, but nothing unusual. I have started grinding it down and It is my daily driver, so the current ticker of just under 123K will continue to increase until it sells (unless I can get back on the motorcycle in the meantime)... Here's a list of the options - I've tried to list them all, but I may have missed one or two. (Please note, the Harley-Davidson steering wheel cover doesn't convey.) all leather seating heated, power driver & passenger seats fold-down rear seat Captain's Chairs seating option 6-CD changer DVD player with wireless headsets (I never used them - I guess they work) reverse collision warning heated, extendable mirrors rear heater/AC climate control tow package (brake controller included)

Autoblog Podcast #317:

European car sales up 8% in February

Sat, 22 Mar 2014

Three weeks ago an analyst increased projections for European car sales this year, expecting them to climb three percent compared to last year instead of 2.7 percent. That number is a postive sign after years of hard times but it turns out February was especially good, overall European sales climbing eight percent on a wave of southern European recovery and discounts - and this comes after five months of gains including January's 7.2-percent jump over the year before.
The only country of Europe's five largest markets to post a decline was France, just as it did in January, Germany, the UK and Italy posting solid double-digit numbers, Spain rocking the charts with an 18-percent increase because of a government program to encourage trade-ins.
The only brand to miss the wave was Volkswagen, dropping 0.8 percent as it watched the double-digit growth at sister brands Audi, Seat and Skoda lift the Volkswagen Group sales up by seven-percent. Peugeot overcame flat sales at Citroën to improve the group by 3.5 percent, BMW and the Mercedes-Benz/Smart combo rose by four percent, the Fiat group jumped 5.8 percent, Ford was up 11 percent, the Renault Group 11.5 percent, General Motors 12 percent and the Toyota clan by 14 percent.

Ford S-Max Concept proves minivans aren't always minivans [w/video]

Tue, 10 Sep 2013

Ford's latest don't-call-it-a-minivan is called the S-Max Concept, and it's a looker. As you can see, the conceptual overgrown hatch makes good use of Ford's latest design language, especially at the very front of the S-Max, which bears a striking resemblance to production models that include the Focus, C-Max and Fusion.
Powering the S-Max Concept is a 1.5-liter EcoBoost engine, and while Ford doesn't actually list power figures for the concept, previous estimates put the mill at 133 kW of power (about 178 horsepower) and 240 Nm of torque (about 177 pound-feet). Inside, there's room for seven passengers and at least some of their luggage.
As you'd expect, the S-Max is loaded up with all of Ford's latest infotainment technology, including Sync and MyFordTouch. More interestingly, there are also onboard heart and blood glucose monitors that we doubt will be seeing the light of production anytime soon. On that topic, don't expect to see any S-Max-shaped vehicles hitting the US market from Ford, either. Scroll down below for the press release, but not before checking out the high-res image gallery above.
