One owner, immaculate diesel Excursion. nearly perfect paint and interior, completely stock with Ford updated oil cooler and EGR cooler. New sway bar end links and steering stabilizer. It runs and drives perfectly with very good power. Brakes are 60%. This truck looks and drives very close to new (it has one small spot on the front bumper that needs to be touched up and two very small door dings on the drivers door)
Never any accidents, paint or body work. clean carfax. 95% tread on Yokohama Geolander tires. All options except DVD player. Color is Mineral Grey. Absolutely everything works as it should. All freeway miles. towed a small boat only. No smoke, food, or pets. ever. Leather is still soft and in excellent condition. Carpet is perfect under the floor mats. third row seating and mat for cargo area (not shown) I purchased this truck from the original owner on 06/28/2014 for my father. Plans have changed and we've decided to sell. The title is clear and signed off but I have not transferred into my name yet. As much as we enthusiasts like to rail on the lowly Toyota Prius as the harbinger of death for all we hold dear, there's no denying the machine's absolute and interminable grip on the hybrid hatchback market in the United States. Toyota has so thoroughly sunk its teeth into the segment that you can clearly hear the automaker's incisors clacking against one another with the conclusion of each financial quarter. And there's little wonder why. Buyers can plop down less than $25,000 and have a runabout that can return up to an estimated 51 miles per gallon in the city, leaving every other entry on the market with precious little gristle to gnaw on.
Enter the 2013 Ford C-Max Hybrid. With its claimed 47 mpg combined, the funky little hatch from Europe already falls behind the 48 mpg city offered by the Prius, but that marginal sacrifice in fuel economy could be a small price to pay for buyers who want a credible alternative to the stalwart Toyota. Unfortunately, like the Fusion Hybrid, the C-Max Hybrid had trouble even approaching its Environmental Protection Agency estimates during our time with the car.
Reflecting on the Ford GT on its 10-year anniversary
Thu, 10 Apr 2014Ten years ago, during the bright-eyed enthusiasm of the early 2000s and before the collective automotive industry did its best Titanic impression, we had the Ford GT. An everyman's supercar like there'd never been (remember, this was before 638-horsepower Corvettes were a thing), the GT arrived with a supercharged, 5.4-liter V8 that produced 550 horsepower and graced this retro-styled rocket with an easy, sub-four-second sprint to 60 miles per hour.
Equal to the GT's performance were its looks. Inspired by the GT40 racers that dominated Le Mans and bested Ferrari in the 1960s, the sleek, low, almost-reptilian look of the GT was the absolute pinnacle of the retro styling that so defined the early 2000s.
Crank and Piston put together a video celebrating the ten-year-old GT, arguing that Ford is a bit too busy with the next-gen Mustang, which turns 50 next week, to do it themselves. In the short clip, there is gratuitous engine noise and supercharger whine, not to mention scenes of the white-on-red GT prowling the deserts and streets of Dubai. See, Mister Softee truck owners were voluntary members of the Civil Defense, thanks to all the useful stuff (potable water, generators, freezers and fridges) that the machines carried with them for serving ice cream.
