For sale is a Black Limited Ford Excursion, 6.0L turbo diesel, with 173,500. We are currently using this vehicle, so mileage may change. Overall this truck is in very good condition. Mechanically there are no issues, with everything in working condition. We have an excellent maintenance program provided by our own in house mechanic. There have been seveal uprades to the engine with all service records of repairs done. The interior is in excellent condition with only some wear to the drivers seat bottom. Exterior is in good condition with no major dents, only one area of clearcoat flaking on front driverside fender, which is shown in one of the photos. All other scratches and blemishes are minor due to normal use for age and miles. Tires are approximately 50% on the front and 25% on the rear. We are selling due to an age requirement for our business. This truck is in above average condition for age and mileage and has had several thousands of dollar engine upgrades. Carmakers, NHTSA to unveil auto-emergency braking agreement tomorrow
Wed, Mar 16 2016Happy St. Patrick's Day Eve. Tomorrow, there will be green beer, corned beef and cabbage, and automatic emergency braking for all. Weird combo, we know. But on St. Patty's we can expect an official announcement from a pact of automakers making auto-braking systems standard equipment by 2022. That's per a report from Reuters, which cites three sources familiar with the plans. Originally announced in September 2015 by 10 automakers and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the agreement is expected to be even larger when the details are unveiled tomorrow. According to Reuters, the manufacturers of 99 percent of the US domestic market's vehicles will be represented by the new agreement. It's believed that standard AEB systems could prevent thousands of accidents across the country. Expect more on the official announcement when it's made. Related Video:
Hear the 2015 Mustang GT V8 roar for the first time
Wed, 26 Jun 2013Our combined knowledge of the 2015 Ford Mustang continues to deepen, as spy shooters have begun to compile video and audio of the upcoming sixth-generation car.
Case in point is this latest series of video clips, which not only gives us a great vantage point of the Mustang in motion, but also allows us to hear the Ford V8 engine and exhaust. After perusing the aural delights of this short video, which, admittedly, doesn't catch the Mustang GT at full song, we can at least say that the throaty exhaust isn't disappointing.
Chances are good that the 2015 Mustang GT will debut with some version of the current (and excellent) Coyote 5.0-liter V8 engine, though we're unclear as to whether or not the motor has been massaged for its next-gen debut, or what may have been done to exhaust plumbing. At this point, we're just happy to hear the pony run. Scroll below to hear for yourself.
2013 North American Car and Truck/Utility of the Year finalists announced [w/poll]
Wed, 12 Dec 20122012 is almost in the books and automakers are spending December gearing up for the 2013 auto show season, which tips off next month at the Detroit Auto Show. Traditionally, the latter opens up with the announcement of the North American Car and Truck/Utility of the Year awards, and this year figures to be no different.
But up until this moment, we didn't know which six vehicles would be parked ahead of the stage as finalists, with executives and engineers waiting for the winners to be disclosed. Whittled down from October's "short list" of nominees (11 cars and 10 truck/utility vehicles), the finalists are as follows:
