2003 Ford Excursion 14 Passenger Limousine With Very Low Mileage on 2040-cars
Edgewood, Maryland, United States
I bought this truck last year, and has been the best money maker in my company. I am getting out of the business and retire. Everything works in the rear, and the air blows very cold. It is fully loaded with all of the normal limo upgrades, including fiber optics. As of now, I am still renting this vehicle, so the mileage will increase. In Maryland, limos must be inspected 2 times per year by the state. This was last inspected in November. It also has new tires all around. I am selling as is where is.
On Jan-15-14 at 15:54:29 PST, seller added the following information: In the pictures you will see that it has an escape hatch in the roof, and a window on each side designed for emergency exit. Also, because of the VIP seating, there is no room for a spare tire. I wasn't comfortable with that, so I had a bracket built for the front passenger seat area. It is secured by 4 bolts, and can be removed in minutes if the new owner doesn't want it there. |

2013 Ford Fusion Hybrid
Mon, 01 Apr 2013Your Mileage May Vary
As difficult as it is to write this, I was actually excited about the 2013 Ford Fusion Hybrid. With the beautiful looks of the newest midsize fighter from Ford and a fuel economy estimate capable of shaming even the stalwart Camry Hybrid, the battery-augmented four-door seemed like a recipe for unabashed success. But appearances love nothing more than swapping our boundless enthusiasm for cold platters of disappointment. The 2013 Fusion Hybrid gets hobbled right out of the gate with a lofty price tag, and real-world driving keeps the sedan from even approaching those EPA figures.
With so many excellent midsize hybrids on the market, is there any reason to consider the newest Fusion Hybrid? Are sharp aesthetics, a well-executed interior and capable driving dynamics enough to overcome the machine's shortfalls? Not from where I'm standing.

Spy shooter claims proof of upcoming aluminum Ford F-Series Super Duty
Thu, 26 Jun 2014Ford has already confirmed that the 2015 F-150 (pictured above) was just the beginning for its more extensive use of aluminum. CEO Alan Mulally said it himself during the 2014 Detroit Auto Show. We've even already seen the future Raptor testing with an aluminum body. But a recent discovery from an intrepid spy photographer might indicate that the lightweight metal is coming to the Blue Oval's Super Duty pickups in their upcoming generation, as well.
According to Automotive News, a spy shooter in Colorado spotted a prototype for the next-gen F-350 testing. He happened to have a magnet on hand and got close enough to check the truck out. When he held it up to the metal in the bed, it didn't stick, which signaled to him a switch from steel to aluminum.
Obviously, this claim raises some questions. Given that it was a test vehicle, one possibility is that the Blue Oval is just evaluating the feasibility of switching to aluminum for the Super Duty trucks, not necessarily committed to it yet. Ford has been testing it quite exhaustively, after all. In fact, much of the rest of the truck in question was covered in camouflage, so it's possible that the magnet failed to work along the rest of the body not because it was aluminum, but because it wasn't powerful enough to get through the disguising material. Thus, the lightweight metal's use could be far less substantial than on the new F-150. Still, it was a clever idea for the cameraman to check things out and might have given us the first hint about brand's next heavy-duty models.
