I am selling a 2002 Ford Excursion for my nephew who recently moved to Oklahoma due to job relocation. This is a nice truck. These are becoming hard to find since they were discontinued but here is your chance to get one. This is a 2002 Black Ford Excursion XLT. This is a 2 wheel drive model. Below I will list the pros and cons and there is more info at the bottom and lots of pictures for you. I am selling the truck for $5400.

Pros / Features:
3rd row seating
Front row bench seating (This truck will seat 9 people, 3 people on each row of seating)
Aftermarket Pioneer CD player with MP3 input jack
Towing package with 2" receiver and wiring harness
Running Boards
Luggage Rack
Automatic Transmission
Towing hooks in the front bumper
The alternator was changed recently as you can see in the pictures
***1500 miles ago this truck got new brake pads on all 4 wheels, new brake rotors on all 4 wheels, new wheel hubs and bearings on the front two wheels, a brand new set of tires with balance and alignment. This truck is riding great now as the ride was getting a little rough is why he did all of this. It has made a world of difference and you will love driving this truck***

This truck can do it all whether you need to move a large family, take a family vacation, load a bunch of friends to go out, hook up the boat, jet skis, or RV and take them out you can do it all with this truck. This truck will not disappoint. This truck has A TON of cargo space as it sits. In addition to that if hauling stuff or going camping you can take the third row out completely or just lay it down for additional cargo room. You can also lay the second row flat and have a massive amount of cargo room and can still move three people. The middle row is a 60/40 split so you can just lay down one seat or two if you dont need all three down. This truck is highly versatile for hauling cargo and/or people.

Now for the small list of bad / cons:
-As you can see in the rear cargo area pictures the owner before my nephew was hauling a battery and it tipped over and spilled. On the drivers side of the cargo area you can see where that messed up some of the carpet. It did not go through the floor just messed the carpet up a little bit.
- On the passenger side at the rear tail light the owner before me brushed up against something white so it has a little white scuff above the tail light.
- There are a couple of small dings on the front bumper and there is no spare tire.

Other than those few little things this is a great truck. Runs good and will last for a long time if you continue to take care of it. It has the V8 gas engine.

As I said this truck is available for immediate delivery. These trucks have held their value well and actually are on the rise since Ford discontinued them. Every day there are less of them on the road and no vehicle comparable for the amount or cargo room and passengers with power and towing capacity.

James Franco and tiger tease Ford Super Bowl commercial

Sat, 01 Feb 2014

Ford has just released a teaser for its Super Bowl ad, and unlike just about every other automaker, it seems that the Blue Oval is going to make us wait until Sunday to see the full spot. The teaser is, um, strange.
It stars James Franco, who believes he is Ron Riggle, the comedian, Fox NFL Sunday host and retired Marine lieutenant colonel. There's also a tiger. The vague spot has Franco claiming that "this is no ordinary commercial." You'll note on the bottom right, there's a Ford logo and the hashtag #nearlydouble.
According to Automotive News, it's part of a massive viral effort being pushed forward by Ford and its dealerships. Ford sent different teasers and "vignettes" to dealership employees and asked them to share them on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, in the hopes of creating a viral effect.

Ford F-150, Chevy Silverado, Toyota Tundra flunk IIHS headlight test

Tue, Oct 25 2016

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety put pickup truck headlights to the test and found that the majority of them were equipped with subpar units. The 2017 Honda Ridgeline was the only truck to earn a rating of "good." The large pickup truck test was comprised of the: 2016 to 2017 GMC Sierra, 2017 Nissan Titan, 2016 Ram 1500, 2016 to 2017 Chevrolet Silverado, 2016 to 2017 Ford F-150, and 2016 to 2017 Toyota Tundra. The Sierra's headlights earned a rating of "acceptable," the headlights found on the Titan and Ram 1500 were found to be "marginal," and the ones on the Silverado, F-150, and Tundra were rated as "poor." IIHS claims the F-150 was the most disappointing out of the large pickup trucks as both its halogen and optional LED headlights failed to provide adequate visibility during testing. The Ridgeline (which earned a "good rating"), is usually considered a midsize or small truck, though IIHS included it in the field of large pickups. The headlights on the 2016 Chevrolet Colorado, 2016 GMC Canyon, 2016 Nissan Frontier, and 2016 to 2017 Toyota Tacoma, which made up the small pickup truck group, all earned a rating of "poor." The IIHS claimed the Colorado had the worst headlights of any truck that was tested, as the base vehicle's units were only able to illuminate up to 123 feet in front of the car. The Ridgeline's headlights, for reference, were able to illuminate up to 358 feet in front of the vehicle. To conduct its test, the IIHS utilizes a special tool to measure how far light is projected out of the headlights in different driving situations. The trucks' headlights were tested in a straight line and in corners, while vehicles with high-beam assist were given extra praise. The headlights on the pickup trucks also mimic the testing that was done on small SUVs and cars earlier this year. Next year, automakers will need to fit their vehicles with headlights that earn a rating of either good or acceptable to earn the IIHS Top Safety Pick+. Related Video:

Ford Transit gets outfitted for prison duty

Wed, 24 Sep 2014

Between the Taurus-based Police Interceptor, the Explorer-based Police Interceptor Utility and the F-150 and Expedition special service vehicles, Ford has no lack of offerings for law enforcement. And now it has one more in the form of the new Transit PTV.
Based on the fullsize Transit van, the Prisoner Transport Vehicle can move as many as 12 prisoners in three separate compartments between detention facilities. Created in collaboration with Pennsylvania-based Havis Prisoner Transport Solutions and with input from Ford's Police Advisory Board, the Transit PTV takes advantage of the Transit's considerable configuration options that include three roof heights, two wheelbases, three lengths and four body-styles - not to mention engine options that include the flex-fuel 3.7-liter V6, 3.5-liter EcoBoost and 3.2-liter Power Stroke diesel.
"Transit PTV is the latest example of Ford's deep commitment to helping provide law enforcement agencies with capable vehicles. This concept proves Transit is upfit-ready and designed to Built Ford Tough standards," said Jonathan Honeycutt, Ford police marketing manager. "Many Police Advisory Board members have had the chance to drive this vehicle and they are excited about it. This new vehicle is tough, smart and efficient - ideal for the needs of law enforcement agencies."
