2001 FORD EXCURSION

This is a beautiful rust free 2001 Ford Excursion Limited originally from ARIZONA. All power options including, drivers seat, windows, tow mirrors, door locks, has heated seats,(drivers side heat switch not working). Has rear controlled A/C and heat. Lighted running boards and outside entry system, cruise control, cd player w/cassette. Second row bench seat with fold down console. Third row seat not pictured in truck has little to no wear. This is and has always been a non-smoked in vehicle. No rips, tears or leaks, The interior is in very good condition with little wear.The exterior shows well with the biggest flaws being a small ding in the right front bumper and a scrape in the plastic valance ( see picture ). Also a small 3 to 4" section of paint on the roof. The truck was professionally undercoated in Arizona by Line-X prior to my driving it home to NY in Jan. 2009 I have all receipts. NHTSA closes Ford F-Series Super Duty steering probe without recall
Wed, 05 Feb 2014The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's investigation into 2008 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty pickups, which was originally opened last year, has now ended without a recall. NHTSA was looking into steering failures on some 336,000 trucks.
The issue rested with the steering gear - NHTSA received five complaints of failures - which was redesigned in 2005. According to the report on the matter, investigators "found evidence of broken sector shaft gear teeth and piston damage consistent with incidents of single event overload."
NHTSA investigators, however, "found no evidence of fatigue or material property defects in any of the fractures. Analysis of complaint rates by vehicle build month showed no patterns indicating potential manufacturing quality issues and no difference before and after Ford introduced design changes to the input shaft and sector shaft seals in July 2007 to address potential leak concerns," according to the report, obtained by The Detroit News.
Mustang Cobra Jet prototype garners $200k for charity at Barrett-Jackson

The car was set to be auctioned off by Barrett-Jackson in Las Vegas to benefit the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Now that auction has taken place, bringing in an impressive $200,000 for MS research.
That's a lot of zeros for a Mustang, much less one you can't even drive on the street. But the unique pony car, bearing serial number 2014 BJMS CJXX1, packs a 5.0-liter supercharged V8, competition gearbox, wheelie bar, roll cage... all you could want, in short, in a turn-key drag racer. And all that for a good cause.
