2000 Ford Excursion Xlt Limited 5.4l V8 on 2040-cars
Nabb, Indiana, United States
It is extremely dependable!!! It starts right up....goes wherever. I have a newer Excursion that is 4wdr that is the only reason I'm selling this one. It is still driven 2-3 times a week. It was not used for towing anything regularly although, I'm sure we have towed something with it a time or two. It has 212k miles that truly are highway miles! We live in a very rural area and it takes 30 minutes to get to the grocery store. The window switch in the driver side is currently not working, so none of the windows go up or down right now. It has a Flowmaster exhaust....so it runs kinda loud. A different exhaust can be put on it or the flowmaster turned down if someone wanted to make the truck quieter. It has leather seats. Pictures show condition. There is a significant tear in the drivers seat. you could put a seat cover on that. there is also minimal cracking in the leather in various other places. Check the pictures. This is a large vehicle. It seats 8. has 3rd row seating. I have had V10 & V8 Excursions. the V8 gets better gas mileage. I usually get around 14 mpg. If I drove 55mph everywhere I went...I would probably get 16 mpg. Fairly regular on maintenance. I won't lie...the oil wasn't changed every 3,000 miles but I've kept up with the maintenance pretty well. Truck doesn't burn oil. Transmission shifts completely fine and good. I have no concerns whatsoever on the engine or transmission. If I were the buyer though....I would put new tires on it pretty soon. Probably within the first month or two. Depending on how often you drive it. If you need any more pictures or have any further questions...please contact through ebay or call 812-595-5950. thanks |

Ford predicts it will finish 2013 as top-selling US brand
Mon, 30 Dec 2013Ford is ready to call the ball on its 2013 sales totals, predicting a first-place finish for units sold in the US for a single brand. The company anticipates selling more than 2.4 million vehicles when all vehicle sales over the last 12 months have been tallied, repeating the victory it trumpeted over Toyota last year.
According to Ford's accounting, it sold 329,677 more vehicles than did Toyota in 2012. This year, the Blue Oval expects that margin to grow; through the end of November, Ford says it has outsold Toyota by 396,041 units.
Retail sales of Ford products are projected to exceed 1.7 million units for 2013 (the best retail result in 6 years for the company), with passenger cars accounting for 600k of that total. The redesigned Fusion is expected to crest the 290k mark, and the Fiesta is said to be ready to hit a model-record of 70k-plus. Meanwhile, utility vehicles and trucks are still paying a lot of bills in Dearborn, with the new Escape racking up an expected 300k sales and F-Series trucks chugging along at 688,810 units sold thru November.
Ford is building this sweet back-to-basics SUV in Brazil
Mon, 02 Jun 2014We're use to forbidden fruit teasing us in Europe. Hatchbacks and diesels from Renault, Citroën, Peugeot, Skoda, SEAT and Alfa Romeo have been a regular torment that we've grown accustomed to over the years. This vehicle, though, is one piece of forbidden fruit we aren't entirely sure we can get over. We need it.
It's called the Ford Troller T4, and if you accidentally read that as either "reborn Ford Bronco" or "Americanized Land Rover Defender," we wouldn't be rushing to correct you. It's a basic, badass SUV, and is the first new vehicle to come from Troller since Ford gobbled it up in 2007. For those with longer memories, you'll recognize this vehicle from the concept that preceded it, the Ford T-R Concept. The production model remains remarkably true to the T-R, as well as past Trollers, but it's a slightly more modern look overall, with LED taillights, contrasting colors
You'll have to bear with us on the details, as we've been forced to rely on the notoriously literal Google Translate to convert the original Portuguese into English, which means some of the details were lost along the way.
Ford previews updated Police Interceptor Utility for Chicago debut
Tue, Feb 3 2015With more law enforcement agencies across the United States alone than we'd care to count (or ever encounter), selling police cars means big business for American automakers, with Ford, Chevy and Dodge competing to fill the motorpools of every police department, sheriff's office and government agency in the land. For its part, Ford offers the Taurus-based Police Interceptor sedan and the Explorer-based Police Interceptor Utility, and it's preparing to unveil a revised version of the latter at the upcoming Chicago Auto Show in the same city where it's built. Dearborn hasn't given us much to go on with this teaser, showing just a darkened front shot of the vehicle in question with its emergency lighting all aglow. But it's fairly clear that the Interceptor Utility has been given many of the same updates applied recently to the Explorer on which it's based. That starts with the revised sheet metal, but considering that the Interceptor Utility exclusively packs V6 power, the 2.3-liter EcoBoost four that was one of the biggest updates to the civilian Explorer isn't likely to carry over. Ford does, however, promise that the revised Police Interceptor Utility will be "even better" than the model it replaces" and pack "more high-tech features." Related Video:
