2000 Ford Escort Zx2 S/r Coupe 2-door 2.0l on 2040-cars
Portland, Oregon, United States
Ford Escort ZX2 coupe, only 75,170 original miles, 5 speed. Excellent running condition, gets 25mpg in the city, 30mpg highway. Has all the goodies: 6-CD player, power windows, power doors, moonroof, cruise control, excellent air conditioning and heater. I've owned the car for 7 years and I bought it from the original owner who bought it off the showroom floor. Interior in perfect condition. Minor dings on body but missing front grill (original owner slid into railing during blizzard in Colorado, low impact, didn't set off airbags). Never been wrecked, clean title in hand. Must sell to pay bills; otherwise I'd keep it. Needs no mechanical work, starts first time every time, runs like a charm. The only things wrong with it, besides the missing grill (which I never missed :) are the driver's side window sticks if you use the auto control and the gas gauge doesn't work. Perfect commuter car, well cared for, will last another 100,000 miles or more if taken care of the way I have. First $1850 takes it; no low ball offers considered. Please text or leave voice mail on my cell at 503-29zero-47one6 and I'll get back to you asap. Looking to sell this weekend. Cash only, local buyers only.

Bill Ford wins National Pond Hockey Championship with employees
Tue, 11 Feb 2014Who says executives aren't people? This past weekend, Bill Ford, executive chairman of Ford Motor Company, and a group of employees trekked up to Eagle River, WI for a few games of pond hockey. Team Ford took part in the 2014 Labatt Blue/USA Pond Hockey Championship, capturing its fifth title in the 50+ Tier 1 Division.
"It feels great to win," Ford, who plays on the team alongside other Ford employees, told the USA Hockey website. "It was fun to play [River Valley Pioneers] because they're great guys and we play them every year. We finally beat them, which we were due. It was a very clean game, a tough game."
The FoMoCo team managed to score seven goals to River Valley's two, and went undefeated in all five of its games during the tourney. Take a look below for the official press release on Team Ford's win.
Ford will probably never offer two RS models at the same time
Mon, 18 Mar 2013Autocar has some sour news for fans of go-fast Ford products. According to Roelant de Waard, Ford's president of marketing in Europe, the automaker will probably never offer more than one RS performance model for sale at the same time. That statement runs contrary earlier rumblings that suggested Ford would launch its next-generation Focus RS in 2015 and follow the hatch with a spate of other vehicles with an RS badge. But de Waard has made it clear that Ford of Europe is now focused on squarely on the next Mustang, even though there may be more RS models on the way eventually.
"What is clear is that the RS shouldn't be a series, or a car badge that we have in our portfolio all the time. It is an extreme car - something more than ST," he said.
That philosophy makes plenty of sense. We loved the old Focus RS - shown above in RS500 trim - because it was generally bonkers and plenty exclusive. Diluting either aspect is sure to end in disappointment for everyone involved.
