1984 Ford Escort Wagon 2.0L Diesel. Engine is from a 1986 mercury topaz so it has the good (non 1984) cylinder head on it. I drive it daily to work. Runs perfect. A/C is ice cold. Cruise works. I am selling it because my kids are too big for the back seat and I just bought a bigger car. This car comes with its own stockpile of spare parts too. I have about a truck load of spare parts from other diesel escorts I have owned. Spare parts include (partial list) 2 parts engines, 3 heads, several injector pumps, starters, alternators, vacuum pumps, wiring harnesses, clutches, transmission, etc., etc., etc. Please feel free to ask any and all questions. Car is from Sacramento and has no rust under the car. there are 2 repairable rust spots. one is under the drip rail on the left rear and the other one is on the left rear door (see pics). needs paint. interior good. new struts. near new tires.

Former Ford CEO Alan Mulally lands on Google board
Wed, 16 Jul 2014Former Ford CEO Alan Mulally often referred to the Blue Oval as a technology company when he led the automaker. Now he'll be offering guidance to a different kind of technology firm: Google.
Mulally was appointed to Google's board of directors July 9, and late Tuesday, it was announced that he will serve on the company's audit committee. The veteran executive led Ford from September 2006 until he retired in June, succeeded by Mark Fields.
While Mulally will act as a board member - rather than in a managerial role - his presence adds credibility to Google's recently announced plans to produce an autonomous car. The ambitious program calls for 100 prototypes to begin testing later this summer. Production of the car is rumored to be in collaboration with a Detroit area performance company, Roush.
USPS releases hot rod stamps to speed up your delivery
Sun, 08 Jun 2014After one of the worst winters in recent memory for much of the country, summer is finally here. It's time to drop the top, open the sunroof or at least put down the windows and take a long drive. The United States Postal Service is celebrating the season's sun in automotive style with two new hot rod Forever stamps.
Both stamps depict classic '32 Ford hot rods. One shows the car from the front at a low angle in red (pictured above), while the other depicts the car from the back in black with flames running down the side.
To introduce the new stamps on their first day of availability, the USPS went straight to the source at the National Street Rod Association Street Rod Nationals in York, PA. They were unveiled by Postmaster General Patrick Donahoe, Car Crazy host Barry Meguiar and NSRA Special Events Director Jerry Kennedy.
