Wow! What a nice smaller SUV. This fantastic 2008 Ford Escape has a great ride and great power. I really enjoyed driving it. It's very clean, almost new, and really fun to drive. It is nicely equipped with features such as Escape Hybrid, 4D Sport Utility, 2.3L I4 Atkinson-Cycle Electric Motor 16V, eCVT, FWD, and Local Trade. J.D. Power and Associates gave the 2008 Escape 4 out of 5 Power Circles for Overall Initial Quality. Don't let its size fool you, this Escape has a big appetite for the road. New Car Test Drive said it ...remains one of the more appealing vehicles in its class, regardless of price, and certainly one of the better values...

2014 Ford Fusion order guide reveals new base Hybrid model, equipment changes
Tue, 23 Apr 2013We've gotten our grubby little digits on the dealer order guide for the as-yet-unreleased 2014 Ford Fusion thanks to an anonymous tipster, and while there isn't much that's unexpected, there are some meaningful equipment changes to report after the rakish sedan's first year on the market.
Mechanically, the big news is, of course, the recently confirmed availability of the 1.5-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder paired with a six-speed automatic. The powertrain replaces the 1.6-liter automatic setup of 2013, though if you want a manual transmission, you'll still get the extra .1-liter of displacement.
On the equipment front, there are newly available rear inflatable seatbelts - as seen previously on the Explorer - along with a new heated steering wheel and cooled seat option on Titanium and Titanium Hybrid models (the latter two options will be late availability).

Ford settles class action suit over defective Navistar diesel engines
Fri, 25 Oct 2013The 2003 Ford F-Series Super Duty (shown above) introduced the 6.0-liter Power Stroke diesel supplied by Navistar, and while that is an engine Ford would love to forget, it's now one step closer to putting that particular problem behind it. Automotive News is reporting that Ford has settled a class-action lawsuit brought on by problems with this engine that started right out of the gate and ultimately broke up the 30-year relationship between Ford and Navistar.
Owners and lessees of 2003-2007 Super Duty trucks and E-Series vans equipped with the 6.0-liter Power Stroke are eligible for deductible reimbursements of between $50 and $200 from the original five-year/100,000-mile engine warranty, while Ford is paying out as much as $825 for out-of-warranty engine repairs. These repairs may include the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) cooler, EGR valve, oil cooler, fuel injectors and turbocharger, but are only covered if the components failed before six years or 135,000 miles.
In total, Ford has agreed to pay about 50 percent of the value of the repairs and deductibles paid by its customers who submit a claim before the end of this year, and $150,000 is going to the 16 named plaintiffs in the case; Navistar was not included in the lawsuit.
