WE TAKE THIS EVERYWHERE.....(FROM R.I.) TO BOSTON, NEW YORK, NEWPORT R.I. ALL THE TIME!!
RUNS GREAT!! ALL OPTIONS WORK FINE, INCLUDING COLD A/C, ALL POWER OPTIONS, MOONROOF, KEYLESS ENTRY, INFORMATION DASH, CD PLAYER, INPUTS FOR ACCESSORIES, CRUISE CONTROL ON STEERING WHEEL, ETC.....
THE TIRES HAVE ABOUT 60% THREAD LEFT AND THE WHEELS ARE NOT SCUFFED AT ALL!!!
THERE ARE A COUPLE THINGS THAT I SHOULD MENTION...NOTHING TOO BAD, BUT YOU SHOULD KNOW WHAT YOUR LOOKING AT!!
AS YOU SEE IN THE PICTURES, THE BLACK APPLIQUE NEAR THE WINDOWS ON THE DOORS IS PEELING OFF AND NEEDS TO BE REPLACED (IF DESIRED), ALSO, ON THE PASSENGER DOOR THERE IS A SCRATCH THE GOES FROM THE FRONT OF THE DOOR TO ACROSS THE FRONT FENDER (LOOKS LIKE A KEY SCRATCH), AND LAST, THERE IS A FAINT RATTLE ON THE DRIVERS SIDE FRONT. I'VE HAD IT LOOKED AT AND ITS NOT LIKE A FRONT END OR MOTOR OR TRANSMISSION RATTLE......I JUST DON'T KNOW WHAT IT IS AND WITH THE RADIO ON, YOU REALLY DON'T NOTICE IT. THERE ARE A COUPLE SCUFF MARKS ON THE BUMPER AND PEBBLE MARKS ON THE FACE OF THE HOOD.
THIS SUV IS A DAILY DRIVER AND WE HAVE OWNED IT FOR MORE THAN 3 YEARS. IT RUNS GREAT AND LOOKS GREAT.
THE SEATS HAVE NO TEARS, RIPS, BURN HOLES AT ALL. THE SEATS HAVE BEEN CLEANED PERIODICALLY. IF YOU KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THE FABRIC FORD USES ON THESE VEHICLES, YOU WILL KNOW THE WATER RING ISSUES THEY HAVE. (LOOK IT UP ONLINE IF YOU DON'T). IT'S PROBABLY THE WORST FABRIC THE EVER USED IN THEIR PRODUCTS. BUT, NOTHING SOAP AND WATER DOESN'T HANDLE FROM TIME TO TIME!!
SO DON'T PASS THIS BY!!!
I'VE TRIED TO DESCRIBE THIS AS BEST I CAN AND THERE ARE ALOT OF LARGE PICS TO SEE
PLEASE EMAIL ANY QUESTIONS OR CONCERN...

New car market raining on convertibles' parade
Mon, 08 Jul 2013Whether fitted with soft or hard folding lids, today's droptops are better than ever for year-round motoring. Advancements in power top mechanisms, sealing, aerodynamics, structural rigidity, rollover safety and creature comforts like heated and cooled seats mean that modern convertibles are more versatile and better to drive than ever before. Yet the segment's sales took a dive during the recession and haven't come back, Automotive News reports.
Part of that is because automakers are looking at today's more sensible buyers and simply not developing as many new models, and that lack of fresh iron is curbing sales. AN cites R.L. Polk data which notes that only about one percent of new vehicles registered in the US last year had tops that folded. Back in 2009, it was 1.4 percent, and it was 2 percent in 2006. All-in, some 151,636 convertibles were registered in 2012. That's more units more than were registered in each of the past three years, but the market has also grown as the economy has picked up speed, and as a percentage of new vehicles purchased, convertible sales are lagging.
Thus far in 2013, the Ford Mustang is America's top-selling convertible, with 6,421 units registered through the end of April, followed by its rival, the Chevrolet Camaro, at 4,751 units. The Volkswagen Beetle isn't far behind, with 4,305, but from that point, it's a steep drop off to the fourth-place Mercedes-Benz SL-Class and its 2,380 sales.
Lincoln Continental production likely to shift to Flat Rock
Fri, Jun 12 2015Lincoln production may be returning to Michigan, according to a new report from Automotive News. While the brand's current big sedan, the MKS, is built alongside the Ford Taurus, Ford Explorer, and their Police Interceptor counterparts at the Blue Oval's Chicago, IL factory, the production version of the Continental won't be screwed together in the Windy City. According to AN, "industry sources" claim the Continental will join the Ford Mustang and Ford Fusion – on which the big Lincoln is loosely based – at the company's Flat Rock, MI factory. The move isn't just based on convenience, though. Ford is selling a lot of Explorers, and shifting Lincoln production away from Chicago Assembly frees up production capacity for the popular SUV. "Chicago Assembly Plant is vital to our global manufacturing footprint and will continue to manufacture the Ford Taurus, Ford Explorer and Police Interceptor vehicles even after we phase out production of the MKS in 2016," Ford told Automotive News. "We will continue to match production to demand." Looking at the numbers further backs up the argument against Lincoln production in Chicago. Last year alone, Ford built nearly 285,000 Explorers and over 73,000 Taurus sedans, compared to just 8,300 Lincolns. Finally, as AN tells it, Ford is almost telegraphing the Continental's arrival in Flat Rock. The facility has a four-week shut down scheduled from June 15 through July 13, which is twice as long as the typical summer vacation, while there's another two weeks off slated for September. All the details on Plug In 2014 electric vehicle conference you could ever want
Wed, Aug 6 2014One of the best parts of the Plug In 2014 Conference in San Jose, CA last week was getting to listen in on thoughts about the state of the plug-in vehicle industry from people who have been involved with it for ages. They bristle when you call them the "Old Guard" (learned that one the hard way), but these are the people who have been through a number of ups and downs with plug-in vehicles, so they've got what we call perspective. Their knowledge was on full display in the three plenary sessions, which the Plug In Conference organizers have given us permission to share with you. Each is at least 90 minutes long, so make sure to set some time aside to enjoy the discussions after you download them (any help with making them streamable would be appreciated). Follow us below to see what we've got to offer. Opening Plenary (audio link). "The Road Ahead – Delivering on a Vision for Sustainable Transportation." Moderated by Mark Duvall (director of energy utilization at EPRI, the Electric Power Research Institute, and a long-time EV advocate), this panel featured: Jack Broadbent, Executive Officer / APCO, Bay Area Air Quality Management District Pat Romano, President & Chief Executive Officer, ChargePoint, Inc. Aaron Johnson, Senior Director, Customer Programs, Pacific Gas and Electric Company Brendan Jones, Director, EV Sales Operations & Infrastructure Deployment, Nissan North America, Inc. David W. Cash, Commissioner, MassDEP Dan Sperling, Director, Institute of Transportation Studies, University of California, Davis Highlights: Educating drivers to "get over the gas station" is a key strategy, how Level 2 and DC Fast Charging are really "a new paradigm," that there have been well over 214,000 EVs sold in US as of July 2014 and where Nissan sees huge potential for more EV sales (Northeast US and medium-size cities like St. Louis and Pittsburgh). Wednesday Morning Plenary (audio link). "Getting to the Mass Market – A Discussion of Ideas for Widespread PEV Adoption." Moderated by John Gartner, research director for smart transportation at Navigant Research.
