2005 Ford Escape Hybrid Sport Utility 4-door 2.3l on 2040-cars
Brevard, North Carolina, United States
**CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN** This Escape is at least an 8.5 of 10 inside and out. No smoking, pets, or small children. We are the second owners. It was garaged in Sarasota Florida by its first owner and has been under a carport here and it shows! Equipped with all available features: power windows, door locks, drivers seat, and mirrors. Cruise, tilt, delay wipers, fog lamps and a 110v interior receptacle. Navigation and a hybrid systems and gas usage monitor. Single slot CD on the radio and a 6 CD changer under the passenger seat. Siruis radio hardwired in for premium sound. Tinted glass on the rear windows and a privacy screen to conceal your packages. The 4wd is automatic, seamless and flawless. The 2.3 liter runs well and has had Mobil 1 full synthetic oil at every
change. The CVT transmission is smooth with no issues. 60/40 rear
seats fold down. Rear window washer/wiper and defrost. A roof rack and running boards complete this sharp SUV. Its history is clean. MPG's are listed at 28 hwy/30 city but if you try a little you can easily beat that. My best tank was 38, and I have had 16 tanks over 30mpg. since I started keeping tabs on the mpgs in February 2013. My driving and cargo needs have changed so I am downsizing to a smaller car. All this escape needs is you! NADA Clean Retail is $7925. The reserve is set quite a bit below that. I can get more than trade-in at a dealer and you can buy it at a much better price than retail on a dealer's lot. You will be hard pressed to find a cleaner, better taken care of Escape anywhere! **Notice the door sills and wheel wells in the pics** It is for sale locally and on Craigslist so we reserve the right to end this early if we sell it.
Local State Employees' Credit Union holds the title. If you bring cash, they will release it to you immediately. Per their rules, checks have to clear first. Thanks for looking and Happy Bidding!! |

Ford Focus refresh shots leak ahead of Geneva
Sun, 23 Feb 2014In case you haven't been paying attention, Ford has been gradually redesigning its lineup to sport a familiar face. The Aston Martin-inspired grille shape debuted on the Fusion and was soon applied to the Fiesta. Even the front end of the new Mustang takes its cues from the same, and we're sure other models will soon be made-over to fall in line. The next on the docket? The Focus.
Set to be unveiled in little over a week at the Geneva Motor Show, the revised Focus has leaked out a tad early, revealing a mild facelift that bears that same trapezoidal grille with horizontal slats. Along with the new grille, the headlights, lower fascia and hood appear to have been reshaped. Around back there appears to be a new rear bumper and taillights, but otherwise the shape remains largely the same as the current model.
Expect the updates to be applied to all bodystyles offered around the world, including the hatchback, wagon and sedan. The engine lineup is expected to carry over largely unchanged, though the plug-in hybrid powertrain from the C-Max Energi could port over to the revised Focus. Plus Ford seems to have taken the opportunity to spruce things up in the cabin some. Check it out in the image gallery above and watch this space for the official announcement as we pack our bags for Switzerland.

Justin Bell makes a horrible policeman
Mon, 11 Nov 2013If you're wondering what type of person makes a good police officer, it seems a racecar driver doesn't. Let us rephrase that: Justin Bell, a racecar driver and the host of Motor Trend's World's Fastest Car Show, recently got behind the wheel of a 5.0-liter Ford Mustang police car with Sergeant Daniel Shrubb, co-founder of DRAGG (Drag Racing Against Gangs and Graffiti), and proved that his high-performance-driving skillset is a bit too aggressive for police duty.
While it's easy to get carried away in a Mustang GT, a patrol car driver must maintain some sort of restraint while pursuing a criminal, so as not to come off as a reckless driver to the public. We'll admit, some pursuit techniques are counter-intuitive to performance driving (stay off the gas in a lane-change exercise?), but Bell's judicious use of the handbrake can't be normal procedure.
Watch "The One With The Ford Mustang 5.0 Police Car" (yes, we caught the Friends reference too) below to see some shenanigans in one of Michigan's finest patrol cars.
