I AM SELLING THIS FOR MY FRIEND WHO COLLECTS CLASSIC VEHICLES/MOTORCYCLES

This 1969 Ford E-230 Club Wagon Chateau is in Pristine Condition! The Odometer says 58,239 (But Probably more like 158,239??) It has Very Little Rust- and has a Clear title...My Good friend bought this so he could relive the old days, and since, he has acquired many more classic Vehicles...So this one has to find a new owner :) Sadly :(  I went out today to take pictures of the Van and was AMAZED at how nice it is! Very Clean! Of course it has it's wear and Patina- but hey it is 44 years young :) The Outside has a few little bumps but nothing serious- it has very very little rust- mostly in the lower spots on the doors. (Very isolated and small areas)
The paint has some areas of wear and where it's lightened and worn over time...No biggie though...Normal Wear and Patina-The Glass is all in tact and in good condition..
The Engine is a 6 Cyl- with a 3 speed Manual Transmission. The Engine Starts right up on the first turn of the key, every single time...There is a Very tiny Exhaust leak- very Minor-easy fix...
The Inside of the van is in excellent condition, aside from normal wear on the carpet- it's heavily worn in areas and the headliner has one area that is coming down a little (see pic).
The Van Features Rear Heat- A factory Trailer Package and Service Records from June 1976-October 2006- It was inspected for the last time in 2011. There are also several Factory shop manuals included. There is also a complete EXTRA set of Original Wheels and tires included.

Ford Mondeo Hybrid could beat unloved diesels in Europe

Wed, Feb 11 2015

Predicting changes in the European auto market isn't easy, and Ford is hedging its bets there with the introduction of the Mondeo Hybrid. The Blue Oval has no expectation of the electrified version of the sedan being a rollicking sales success, but the model is a fuel-efficient alternative in case the recent backlash against diesel turns into an outright ban somewhere. This is the first time Ford is selling a hybrid version of the Mondeo (a cousin to the Fusion in the US) in Europe. The vehicle pairs a 2.0-liter Atkinson cycle four-cylinder with a 1.4-kWh battery pack to make a total of 185 horsepower and emit 99 grams per kilometer of CO2. The Blue Oval expects to sell around 100,000 units of all versions of the sedan annually there, according to Automotive News Europe. However, fewer than 5,000 of those are predicted to be the gas-electric model. "Legislation around Europe is so different it's very difficult to predict," Roelant de Waard, Ford of Europe sales boss, said to ANE. "If you're betting only on one horse you might be lucky, but you also may be very unlucky." Ford is probably smart to have alternatives ready, and it also already offers the Focus Electric and hybrid C-Max there. Governments in Europe are rapidly turning against diesel, especially in France. The country considered offering buyers 10,000 euros ($11,300) if they trade in an old oil-burner on a new electric vehicle, and the prime minister calls backing the fuel for so long a mistake. The UK's Labour Party is making similar declarations. Recharge Wrap-up: Ford 1.0L EcoBoost a hit in Europe; Build a tiny inverter, win $1 million

Mon, Aug 11 2014

In Europe, Ford's 1.0-liter EcoBoost engine is the best-selling turbocharged gasoline engine. The three-cylinder motor powers 20 percent of new Fords sold in Europe. Earlier this year, it won its third International Engine of the Year award, and between January and June, it was sold in about 120,000 cars. So far this year, 38 percent of Fords sold in the Netherlands, 35 percent in Denmark and 32 percent in Switzerland have been powered by the 1.0-liter EcoBoost. The engine's turbocharger spins at 248,000 rpm, and provides 24 psi of pressure. The engine produces up to 138 horsepower, depending on the version. Read more in the press release below. When lithium-ion battery packs are retired from the road, remanufacturing, repurposing, and recycling are worthwhile options, according to a study by Mineta Transportation Institute. The study included a cost-benefit analysis of those three options, and found remanufacturing to be the best route. To get the most out of them, batteries should be tested and have their damaged cells replaced then put back to use. Repurposing is the second best option, using the remaining available charge for something besides cars. Recycling on its own isn't profitable, but it could make economic sense with "increased technological breakthroughs." Learn more at Recycling International or download the report here. A smaller inverter for EVs can win you $1 million. The Little Box Challenge is an open competition to build a power inverter with a density of at least 50 watts per cubic inch. Google and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) are offering the hefty prize to the team that builds the inverter with the highest power density within an enclosed volume of 40 cubic inches. Teams must register by September 30. Read more at Green Car Congress or learn more at the Little Box Challenge website.
