Offered by Kenny's Auto Sales is a 2008 Silver Ford E-350 Extended Hi top Supreme Star Trans Hi Top Bus. It features a plexiglass left front driver operated bus door with steps, A Century Two Wheelchair Lift, Carrier Rear Air Conditioning, Rear Heat and a 4+4Seating configuration consisting of hard mounted seating for four passengers and folding seating for four passengers for a total of eight seated pasengers and one Wheechair passenger or four seated passengers and two wheelchair passengers. This bus has 184250 Highway miles and has been very well maintained and looks to have been garage kept. It has a smooth running 5.4 V-8 Engine, Automatic Transmission, Front and Rear A/C and Heat Cruise Control and Tilt Wheel. It is clean and dry underneath and the tires are all in good shape and the Bus Drives and performs nicely and the Front & Rear A/C is Ice Cold. The only flaws that we have found are minor and are listed below: 1. some minor parking scratches, 2. some minor interior wear and tear, 3. the radio does not play 4. the drivers door lock cylinder does not turn from never being used 5. the airbag light comes on intermittenly and I was told that this is due to the passenger front airbag being disconnected for the bus conversion. Watch the Hennessey Ford GT makes its record run at Texas Mile

We said they'd probably be out with an official video, we did not lie. The Hennessey-powered camouflage Ford GT sat at one end of the runway at the Texas Mile sitting still. At the other end of the runway it had broken its own speed record, the twin-turbo 5.7-liter V8 pushing the aerodynamic supercar up to 267.6 miles per hour, a 4.3-mph improvement over the old mark.
There's not much in the video you haven't already seen, this just makes it official. That said, who doesn't want to see a twin-turbo Ford GT set an incredible speed record? You can watch it below.

Jay Leno takes a Surfin' Safari in a 1937 Ford Woodie Restomod

Woodie wagons were a major part of surfing culture in the 1960s, offering coastal style and a ton of room, and they even earned a mention in the Beach Boys' classic song Surfin' Safari. This week, Jay Leno's Garage takes a look at two modern, restomodded examples of these style icons.
Unlike a lot of restomods, builder Scott Bonowski keeps these wagons looking almost completely stock on the outside, and all of the upgrades are hidden underneath the timber. You can't tell by looking at it, but the '37 Woodie (pictured above) has independent front and rear suspension, disc brakes and a Ford 5.0-liter V8 under the hood.
Beyond the mechanical aspect, the craftsmanship into the wood is astounding. Bonowski claims there are between 30 and 50 coats of varnish on this wagon. It makes these woodies as much of a piece of fine furniture as a vehicle to drive.

Ford and GM link bonus checks to quality scores

The poor first quarter earnings of Ford and General Motors are having an effect all the way up the food chain. Both automakers struggled with recalls in the first three months of the year, and, according to The Detroit News, they have responded by increasing the percentage of bonuses tied to vehicle quality for salaried workers, including top executives.
GM announced that 25 percent of bonuses (up from 10 percent) for all salaried workers would be tied to its vehicle quality standards. The automaker revealed in its financial report that it spent $1.3 billion on recall-related repairs in the first quarter, and net income was down 86 percent.
Ford also increased the quality proportion of bonuses for about 26,000 salaried workers all the way up to CEO Alan Mulally from 10 percent to 20 percent. The company announced in its report that the amount paid out in warranty and recall claims was about $400 million higher than expected in the first quarter. Its net income fell 39 percent from the previous year. "The change reflects how critical quality is to our overall business," said spokesperson Todd Nissen speaking to Autoblog.
