2008 Ford E-150 Cargo van V-8 4.6L 99,900 miles Driven daily, very clean & nice shape, well took care of, no problems, mechanically sound, air conditioning great Flaws Windshield has 2 small bubble chips, 1- 5/8 diam. & 1- 3/8 diam. both were treated by local company at time when happened and have been fine since. Fender has some scratches, their prior to my ownership, I have owed since 50,794 miles or 02/02/2011 Tires are low on tread & will need replaced soon 5-10,000 miles Does have normal flaws (wear & tear) for a van 5yrs old with 99,900 miles, nicks, scratches, dings, but is less than what I would consider normal for 5yrs & 99,900 in my opinion ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I change oil every 3,000 miles I used for my appliance repair business to haul parts and tools Exterior has 4 cartoon decals, which can be removed. Ford Tourneo ready for duty in Connect, Courier and Custom flavors [w/videos]
Wed, 06 Mar 2013Ford was relatively quiet at the Geneva Motor Show, but it did take the opportunity to roll out its new family of Tourneo vans: the Courier, Connect, Grand Connect and Custom. As the passenger version of the Transit cargo vans, the new range of Tourneo models vary from the B-segment Courier up to the fullsize Custom. The Connect and Grand Connect are based on the redesigned 2014 Ford Transit Connect.
With an overall length just three inches longer than the Fiesta hatchback, the Tourneo Courier seats four to five passengers, and it offers a choice of three engines: the 1.0-liter EcoBoost or two small diesels. Like the 2014 Transit Connect was saw in Paris last year, the Tourneo Connect comes in a five-seat configuration while the Grand Connect can seat seven. Finally, the Tourneo Custom seats up to nine passengers, and it is available in two lengths up to 210 inches long putting it just six inches shorter than a standard-length E-Series van and about a foot longer than the Explorer.

Detroit's new fleet of donated police cars have safety issues [w/video]
Wed, 23 Oct 2013In a show of generosity in mid-August, Detroit's business leaders donated $8 million to the Police Department and Fire Department in order to buy 100 new police vehicles and 23 EMS ambulances. But now officers have discovered - and complained - that the police vehicles have glaring safety issues, Deadline Detroit reports. It is not made clear what models of the fleet vehicles - which include police versions of the Ford Taurus, the Chevrolet Caprice and the Dodge Charger - are affected by the safety issues.
Officers reportedly have complained that the Plexiglass partition separating front-seat officers and back-seat prisoners is easily breached, and that the front passenger seat is installed too close to the dashboard. Prisoners who manage to writhe out of their handcuffs can bend the Plexiglass and reach into the cockpit, and sitting too close to the dashboard can render airbags more dangerous and make officers more vulnerable to injury in a crash.
Mark Diaz, president of the Detroit Police Officers Association, received the complaints and reportedly said the vehicles would get safety updates addressing the issues. But Deadline Detroit reports that it checked some of the offending police cars and, as of the last few days, they hadn't been updated.
