DIESEL CAMPER/RV/TOY HAULER/BUS

SO MANY POSSIBILITIES

2002 E-450 Toy Hauler with a 7.3 Turbo Diesel.  We have been using this vehicle for the past 3 years to sell our automotive paint products at car shows.

The front half has been converted to a very comfortable living quarter that consists of a futon that makes into a very comfortable double bed with a single bed on top, enabling it to sleep three people.  It also comes with a remote power generator and a 1000 watt invertor system that will power the electric auxiliary heater.   It comes with a 22” flat screen color TV, DVD player and refrigerator, as well as lighting while you go down the road.

Then when you stop you can either plug into a 110 hook up or power the whole rig with the quiet 110 generator.  This vehicle was in use from when it was new as an airport shuttle and then the last three years on the road for us going to automotive swap meets.  This vehicle has 200,000 miles but has always had professional routine service so it is as dependable as a new one.

I would not hesitate to drive this vehicle to California and back with no issues.  It has no oil or fluid leaks, lots of power and gets 13 to 15 MPG highway.

It has two ramps you can use to load a 4 wheeler, golf cart, or two motorcycles in the 8x8 ft cargo area in the rear.  We also have the original wheel chair lift we removed that is available for purchase for an additional $300.00 that works perfect for 4 wheelers and motorcycles.  It also has a class 2 hitch.

Condition as follows, HOT HEATER, COLD AIR, 3 BATTERIES ONLY ONE YEAR OLD, BRAKES RECENTLY CHANGED, REAR FOUR TIERS 50 T0 60% TREAD, FRONT TIERS NEW, NEW INJECTORS THIS YEAR, AS WELL AS NEW LIFETIME STARTER, BELTS, HOSES ALL NEW THIS YEAR, 15,000 MILES ON REBUILT TRANSMISSION LAST YEAR.

Bid with confidence this would be great for many uses.  With the economy we are down sizing out fleet so this truck is selling at NO RESERVE AUCTION.  If you are the last bidder you will own it.

Fly in and drive it home or we will deliver for $1.25 per mile (pre payment only)

$500.00 deposit within 24 hours……balance within 3 days.

Vehicle can be stored here up to 30 days at no charge,,,,,$25.00 per month thereafter.

Any questions please call Rob at 417-860-8950.

GOODLUCK AND HAPPY BIDING

***Special note: The shelving and folding tables pictured in the cargo area at the rear of the bus not included in sale and will be removed before picked up.

Former Cadillac boss Butler takes Ford tech job

Tue, 07 Jan 2014

When Don Butler made the surprising decision to leave his post as Cadillac's VP of global strategic development, it was a surprise. Citing a desire to "recalibrate, reassess my priorities" in that August announcement, it wasn't entirely clear where Butler - a virtual General Motors lifer after spending nearly 30 years with the company - would end up. Turns out he took a trip to Dearborn.
Butler has taken a position in the newly created position of Executive Director of Connected Vehicles and Services at Ford, where he'll be responsible for the Blue Oval's global connectivity strategy. "Not only does Don understand the connected car landscape, but probably just as important, he understands customer expectations," said Raj Nair, who, as Group Vice President of Global Product Development, is Butler's new boss. "Having a leader with technology experience both inside and outside the industry is a rare combination - we're excited to have Don join our team."
As Ford has received its fair share of flak for the sometimes recalcitrant MyFord Touch infotainment system and its Sync voice-controls, it appears that Butler has his work cut out for him.

Has the 2015 Ford Mustang gained hundreds of pounds?

Sun, 01 Jun 2014

Automakers face competing interests when it comes to developing a new generation of vehicle. On the one hand, companies want to build their cars to be safer and better handling, with more equipment and maybe even larger dimensions over the model it's replacing. On the other hand, they strive to keep weight down to the benefit of both performance and fuel consumption. Usually something has to give, and in the case of the new 2015 Ford Mustang, those efforts may have resulted in a weight penalty of two or three hundred pounds.
This according to Blue Oval modifier Steeda Autosports, which states that "the 2015 Mustang ended up gaining 200-300 pounds in this remake". Despite the Mustang not being on the market yet, it would appear the leading Ford aftermarketer has been given early access to the 2015 model to help jumpstart its tuning efforts (a rather common development among trusted tuners). If Steeda's assertion is accurate, that would make the challenge of getting the new pony car up to speed for both Ford and aftermarket customizers like Steeda that much greater.
We're waiting for official word from Ford on the veracity of Steeda's claim, but if true, it's bound to be a bit of disappointing news for legions of Blue Oval performance enthusiasts. Watch this space for more.

1947 Chevy rat rod pickup leaves rubber and smoke in its wake

Thu, 08 May 2014

Cool comes in multiple flavors. One one hand, we have the sophisticated attraction of svelte design and the efficient use of power. Of course, on the other hand there is the allure of being the bad boy and going against the grain. That is part of the appeal of rat rods. Ideally, they are built without rules to an owner's specific tastes, and this widened and heavily modified 1947 Chevrolet pickup rod is a perfect example of that spirit.
Coming down the highway with a bent grille, rusted body and pouring smoke, it looks like the pickup from hell. It backs up the looks with some very impressive mechanicals too. Owner Troy Gubser says that the truck packs a Ford Power Stroke diesel with to 42 pounds of boost that runs out of 8-inch exhaust stacks at the back. He claims it managed 505 horsepower and 885 pound-feet of torque on the dyno. To harness all that power, this hot rod has a ZF five-speed manual gearbox with a ceramic clutch and short-throw shifter. Plus, it has cool little features like a doorbell on the tailgate that operates an air horn.
You might not expect a truck like this to actually be useful, but it has a fifth wheel coupling to haul an RV around drag races and car shows. The air suspension also probably keeps the ride fairly comfy when Gubser wants it to be. Scroll down to check out this beastly rat rod pickup and watch it engage in some diesel drag racing. Warning, there is some NSFW language.
