PROFESSIONALLY INSTALLED IS A LENCO TOW ITCH/PACKAGE with warranty, I cannot remember the details, however, when I had this installed, it was the best/top notch tow package available in option with the most weight. I did this to use with a bike carrier and used this to haul an 2008 R1 from el paso TX to myrtle beach,SC to and from without a single issue with the trip. only stop was for gas and minor rests
4 brand new Bridgestone dueller H/L tires (6-ply wall) replaced last may, just before the myrtle beach trip. I bought this with road side assistant warranty for additional $40-50 each. not sure if its transferrable, however, if the winner of auction is close by my city, and would like to use these feature, we will see how we can work that out. these tires are the heavy duty tires for long trips with great gas mileage. I did my research before choosing them.
near new if not brand new spare also included. don't think it has ever been used.
Jack and all necessary equipment for tire change included
new battery about 1+ yr ago
new radiator also around the same time
Also replaced rear center bearing and rear right axle/bearing last october.
tune up, complete service, AC service, radiator flush, anti-freeze flush,  done last may. regular oil change every 3000 miles

ALL MANUALS AND SOME RECEIPT, INCLUDING VEHICLE PURCHASE RECEIPT.

This is ford conversion van in excellent condition.
I only drive this van on long trips and perhaps now and then mildly, and it has served me well.
trips in the last 2 yrs includes:
el paso, TX to phoenix AZ x 1
el paso, TX to dallas, TX x2
EL Paso, TX to myrtle beach, SC x 1 (4000 miles round trip)

the only bad news is: this van was bought with a salvage title due to a left front fender accident that deployed the driver airbag.
the van was professionally repaired with replacement of new fender, complete bumper with the chrome grill, radiator, carbon fiber hood, headlights, and everything else I can't remember right now except the driver airbag, which was the only air-bag that deployed.
I am not a car dealer, so no warranty of course, however, if you win the bid, and do not like the van upon pick-up, you don't have to buy it, just drop me $75 for my listing headache/fees/time and walk away without any obligation to buy, thats how confident I am with this bad boy.
you are more than welcome to come and inspect, test drive the vehicle before bidding.

buyer must arrange shipping or pick.
$500 non-refundable deposit is due 24hrs after auction ends
Please do not hesitate to ask me any question via email, especially before bidding.

I HAVE LISTED THIS VEHICLE WITH NO RESERVE, SO HIGHEST BID WINS IT....!!!!

Aluminum lightweighting does, in fact, save fuel

Mon, Apr 14 2014

When the best-selling US truck sheds the equivalent weight of three football fullbacks by shifting to aluminum, folks start paying attention. Oak Ridge National Laboratory took a closer look at whether the reduced fuel consumption from a lighter aluminum body makes up for the fact that producing aluminum is far more energy intensive than steel. And the results of the study are pretty encouraging. In a nutshell, the energy needed to produce a vehicle's raw materials accounts for about 10 percent of a typical vehicle's carbon footprint during its total lifecycle, and that number is up from six percent because of advancements in fuel economy (fuel use is down to about 68 percent of total emissions from about 75 percent). Still, even with that higher material-extraction share, the fuel-efficiency gains from aluminum compared to steel will offset the additional vehicle-extraction energy in just 12,000 miles of driving, according to the study. That means that, from an environmental standpoint, aluminum vehicles are playing with the house's money after just one year on the road. Aluminum-sheet construction got topical real quickly earlier this year when Ford said the 2015 F-150 pickup truck would go to a 93-percent aluminum body construction. In addition to aluminum being less corrosive than steel, that change caused the F-150 to shed 700 pounds from its curb weight. And it looks like the Explorer and Expedition SUVs may go on an aluminum diet next. Take a look at SAE International's synopsis of the Oak Ridge Lab's study below. Life Cycle Energy and Environmental Assessment of Aluminum-Intensive Vehicle Design Advanced lightweight materials are increasingly being incorporated into new vehicle designs by automakers to enhance performance and assist in complying with increasing requirements of corporate average fuel economy standards. To assess the primary energy and carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2e) implications of vehicle designs utilizing these materials, this study examines the potential life cycle impacts of two lightweight material alternative vehicle designs, i.e., steel and aluminum of a typical passenger vehicle operated today in North America. LCA for three common alternative lightweight vehicle designs are evaluated: current production ("Baseline"), an advanced high strength steel and aluminum design ("LWSV"), and an aluminum-intensive design (AIV).

Man chases down truck thief and steams it all on Facebook

Thu, Oct 13 2016

A Washington man chased down a truck stolen from his family's dealership last Saturday and livestreamed the event on Facebook. According to KOMO, a 2005 Ford F-250 was stolen from Sunrise Auto Sales in Eatonville, Washington on the morning of October 8. Aaron Babcock, who co-owns the small dealership with his father David, told reporters that after reviewing surveillance footage, he later spotted the truck while riding his motorcycle on Webster Road East. "I watched my cameras and found the video of a man lurking around and ending up taking off with my truck," Babcock told KOMO. "Cops came and made a case. Three hours later I was on my motorcycle in Graham, and they drove by me oncoming. It still had dealer stickers on it. It said diesel on the window and it had our dealer plate on it. It stuck out like a sore thumb. It was really easy to see." Once he spotted the stolen Super Duty, he wheeled his bike around and gave chase. He attempted to call 911, but was unsure if the dispatcher heard him due to noise from the wind and the bike's engine. So he fired up Facebook live and started streaming his chase, giving running commentary and updating his location as he chased the slow-moving truck. "I wasn't going to let him get away. I was going to try follow him down. I had no idea what to do," Babcock said. "Nobody could hear me on the phone so I just figured the first thing to do is pull up Facebook live." Babcock's Facebook friends pitched in by calling 911 to report the chase and even jumping in their own cars to follow the truck. At one point, he pulled alongside the truck and recognized both men in the cab. The driver was the man seen lurking around the dealer lot in the surveillance video, and the passenger was an old friend of Babcock's. "I know who you are!" he shouted at them, but the hunkered down and kept driving. Eventually, Babcock lost cell phone signal and the livestream ended. Eatonville police, who by this point were well aware of the incident, caught up with the truck in the 8400 block of 356th Street South in Eatonville. The driver was arrested and the passenger was questioned and released. Both denied stealing the vehicle or knowing it was stolen. Two sets of keys from Sunrise Auto Sales and a stolen credit card were also recovered from the truck. Related Video

Uber hopes facilities in Detroit will help shape its autonomous future

Mon, Sep 19 2016

Hot off the heels of unleashing its fleet of self-driving vehicles in Pittsburgh, PA, Uber announced plans to open a new facility in the Detroit, MI area, reports Automotive News. The new facility was announced at an event hosted by Society of Automotive Engineers in Detroit, MI. Uber's vice president of global vehicle programs Sherif Marakby revealed the news, reports Automotive News. The facility is meant to help the ride-sharing company collaborate with suppliers and automakers in the area. There's no word on where Uber will build the new facility or how big it will be, as those factors have yet to be determined. Just like Pittsburgh, PA, Detroit, MI could become another testing ground for the ride-sharing company. The latest move to open a facility in the Detroit area comes after Uber offered users in Pittsburgh the chance to ride in one of its autonomous vehicle as it looks to gain vital real-world testing. Uber is utilizing a fleet of modified Ford Fusions. Earlier this year in April, the automaker announced a partnership with Google, Lyft, Uber, and Volvo to develop autonomous cars. A new facility in Detroit would strengthen the partnership and help Uber, as well as Ford put autonomous vehicles on the road faster.
