1998 Ford D'elegant High Top Conversion Van Econoline 150 on 2040-cars
Greensburg, Pennsylvania, United States
This auction is for a 1998 Ford High Top Conversion Van. It has the d'Elegant conversion package. The van has 95k miles and runs and drives like a top. It has had the same owner since 2003 and 39k miles. It has been stored in a garage and is very clean inside and out. There is no rust on it and the undercarriage is also in great shape. The engine runs smooth and strong, and the transmission shifts smooth. All four tires have good tread remaining and it has new PA inspection and emissions stickers. Everything on the van works as it should and the air is ice cold. The van will need nothing mechanically. Drive it anywhere. The body is very nice and the paint still shines like new. The leather seats are still in great shape as well as all of the carpeting and trim. This is a very nice van for its age and will serve you a lot of future purpose. The van will be sold through the dealer I work for to make paperwork easier. There will be no hidden fees, just the final price of the auction. Bid to win as this is a no reserve auction. |

Ford hiring 2,200 salaried US workers this year
Fri, 11 Jan 2013With its influx of popular new products made in the US, Ford Motor Company has announced that it intends to hire 2,200 new salaried workers domestically this year. This is the biggest increase of salaried workers for Ford in the last 10 years, and it is all a part of Ford's contract commitment to the United Auto Workers union to bring 12,000 new jobs to the US by 2015.
There were no specifics as to where in the US these job openings will be, but Ford did reiterate that it will be spending $773 million on equipment upgrades and capacity expansion at six plants located in southeast Michigan; as a whole, Ford is investing a total of $6.2 billion to its US assembly plants over the next couple years. According to recently appointed president of the Americas Joe Hinrichs, the new jobs will be focused on areas such as engineering, manufacturing and computer software. Ford will post its job openings online at careers.ford.com, and it will also use social media sites like Facebook and Twitter to recruit new workers, including military veterans.

2015 Ford F-150 claims segment's best payload, towing ratings
Mon, 29 Sep 2014While we are set to drive the new, 2015 Ford F-150 in the coming days, there's a big piece of news on the latest-generation of the Blue Oval's bread-and-butter pickup coming out of Dearborn, and it focuses on the truck's hauling and towing abilities.
The new F-150 will have a maximum payload of 3,300-pounds (V8 models), and, perhaps more importantly, a 12,200-pound tow rating (EcoBoost V6 models), which for the first time are compliant with the Society of Automotive Engineer's J2807 standards. Those best-in-class figures are significant feathers in Ford's cap as the Detroit Three continue duking it out for the title of top pickup.
"As founding members of the SAE trailer towing committee, we will meet SAE trailer towing standards," Ford's Aaron Miller told Autoblog.
