WE HAVE FOR AUCTION OUR 1997 FORD E350 CLUBWAGON SUPER. THE VAN RUNS GREAT AND STRONG, TRANSMISSION SHIFTS SMOOTHLY. THIS PAST YEAR WE HAVE PUT 4 BRAND NEW FIRESTONE TIRES AND ALL NEW FRONT AND REAR BRAKES. HEAT AND A/C WORK GREAT. THIS IS A VERY STRONG RUNNING WORK HORSE. IT CAN BE USED TO HAUL FAMILY/PEOPLE OR USED AS A WORK VAN. IT HAS LOW MILES AND NO KNOWN MECHANICAL ISSUE. WHILE THIS REALLY IS A GREAT VAN AND HAS BEEN A BLESSING TO US i WILL NOT NEGLECT TO POINT OUT THE LITTLE THINGS FOR THE SAKE OF FULL DISCLOSURE. A COMMON ISSUE WITH THESE VANS IS THE PAINT PEELS FROM THE ROOF AND A SPOT ON THE BACK DOOR. YOU CANT EVEN TELL ABOUT THE ROOF UNLESS YOU ARE LOOKING DOWN FROM ABOVE. THE ANNOYING SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT COMES OFF AND ON WHENEVER IT HAS A MIND TO. HAD CHECKED AND WAS TOLD OXYGEN SENSOR AND CHEAP GAS CAN DO THAT. AND AT THESE GAS PRICES I GO THE CHEAPEST POSSIBLE BUT IT NEVER EFFECTS ANYTHING. ALSO HAS A FAIRLY NEW BATTERY. THE SIDE DOOS HAVE TO BE OPENED FROM THE INSIDE BECAUSE A SMALL PLASTIC CLIP BROKE STOPPING THE OUTSIDE DOOR HANDLE FROM WORKING. AND THE WORST PART OF THE WHOLE VAN IS THE DRIVER SE AT VINYL SPLIT. I COULD PUT SEAT COVERS ON BUT IT NEVER WAS A PROBLEM. I WILL ATTACH A YOUTUBE VIDEO OF THE VAN. THE WHEELCHAIR CARRIER ON THE BACK DOESNT GO WITH THE VAN AND WE HAD THE FRONT BENCH SEAT OUT TO CARRY A WHEELCHAIR BUT IS BACK IN IT. NOW EVERYBODY ALWAYS WANTS TO KNOW WHY YOU WANT TO SELL A VEHICLE IF ITS SO GOOD, WELL HERE IS THE REASON.
I JUST TURNED 38 YESTERDAY AND HAVE KNOWN FOR THE LAST 3 YRS THAT i AM TERMINALLY ILL AND WITHOUT GOING INTO ALL THE BORING DETAILS WE OBVIOUSLY COULD USE THE MONEY BUT I RARELY DRIVE (DOCTORS ORDERS) AND WE HAVE 5 KIDS...2 IN CAR SEATS SO WE NEED A MINIVAN MY WIFE CAN DRIVE BETTER AND SAVE ON GAS. THE VAN IS SOLD AS IS. ITS A NICE RELIABLE VAN BUT IS A 97 BUT HAS NOT BEEN ABUSED.. PLEASE ASK ANY QUESTIONS AND HAPPY BIDDING........

Jerry Seinfeld doesn't love Sarah Jessica Parker's new Country Squire in latest CiCGC
Fri, 20 Jun 2014Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee has finally returned for its fourth season of combining Jerry Seinfeld, a miscellaneous celebrity and a cup of java. But rather than fondly remembering some older piece of automotive machinery, this time around, Seinfeld is utterly unable to keep his hatred of Sarah Jessica Parker's 1976 Ford LTD Country Squire from coming out to hilarious effect.
However, Parker has such a high level of infectious enthusiasm for her recently purchased Country Squire that she seems to win over Seinfeld by the end - at least a little bit. For most of their time together, the two of them drive around Manhattan and the suburbs waxing nostalgic about what things were like when these wagons were ubiquitous.
Since this is actually SJP's car, she and Seinfeld trade off driving duties, and the image above should give you some indication of Seinfeld's reaction to the Sex and the City star behind the wheel. It seems this '70s land yacht might be a little too much for her to handle in New York traffic. Regardless, she is absolutely in love with her Ford.
Total auto recalls already on record pace in 2014
Tue, 08 Apr 2014If you've noticed that there have been more recalls than usual this year, you may be on to something. According to a report from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the US market is on pace to break a record for recalls. In 2013, 22 million cars were recalled. We're only a third of the way through 2014, though, and we've already halved that figure, with 11 million units recalled. That's wild.
Considering the past few months, it shouldn't be a surprise that General Motors is leading the charge, with six million of the 11 million units recalled coming from one of the General's four brands. Between truck recalls, CUV recalls and the ignition switch recall, 2014 hasn't been a great year for GM.
Other recall leaders include Nissan (one million Sentra and Altima sedans), Honda (900,000 Odyssey minivans), Toyota (over one million units in a few recalls), Volkswagen (150,000 Passat sedans), Chrysler (644,000 Dodge Durango and Jeep Grand Cherokee SUVs) and most recently, Ford (434,000 units, the bulk of which were early Ford Escape CUVs). So while it's been a bad year for GM so far, its competitors aren't doing too well, either.
Ford reserving 50th Anniversary Mustangs for service members
Tue, Dec 16 2014Think getting your hands on one of the 1,964 50th Anniversary Ford Mustangs is hard as a civilian? Imagine how tough it might be for the Mustang fanatics in our nation's military. Perhaps recognizing this fact, Ford Emerging Market Services and the Overseas Military Sales Corporation (the only Ford-authorized retailer on the military's bases) ran a raffle, with the winners receiving the opportunity to purchase one of the limited-edition muscle cars. Ford EMS and OMS received 300 entries to the raffle, although with only eight 50th Anniversary Stangs to hand out, we imagine there were quite a lot of disappointed soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines. "We are pleased to offer limited-edition anniversary Mustangs to members of our military through our Military Appreciation Program, and we are delighted at the response it's receiving," Doug Walczak, EMS' fleet sales manager, said. The first Mustang was delivered to Army Maj. Del Boyer, shown above. While Maj. Boyer took delivery in New York, the raffle was open to servicemembers both at home and abroad.
