Hello My name is Rich and I am selling this 1997 Ford Econoline E-150 conversion van. First let me thank you for your interest in this van. Please before bidding review my history of selling and buying on e-bay. While my history is somewhat short,it is perfect. I have sold the last 6 or so cars that I have owned on e-bay. My success rate has been 100%. The reason for that is simple,be fare with people and hopefully they will return the favor by being fare and honest back too you!.At least 3 of the vehicles I have sold over the past 7 yrs. have been to out of state buyers, one from Texas, one from Oaklahoma, and one from Indiana. I live 5 minutes outside of Chicago and 5 minutes from Ohare airport. The reason for this long explaination about my history is simple. These adds cost money and time and I don't wish to waste either your time or my money on someone bidding for fun. If you make a bid please be sure of what you are doing. All I ask is that you follow through with good intentions of buying this vehicle, if you happen to be high bidder.Do your homework and trust, that what I tell you is honest, and please extend me the same. Now about the van.
The van is a 1997 Ford Econoline E150 conversion van.The vehicle has 148262 miles on it. The van is in very good shape, overall and considering it is 16 yrs old I think it is great! The exterior of the van is totally dent and ding free. The paint still shines beautiful and does not have any scratches or rock chips to speak of.There is some rust over the wheel wells and I took pictures of both wheel wells to show that it is not bad! The interior is very clean especially the seats both front and back. The dash and all door panels are excellent and clean. The carpeting in the back has worn and has some discoloration, but not bad considering all of the action the back gets.
The van has the following features. It has a 4.8 Triton V-8 engine, the smaller of the 2 V-8 engines available, better on gas! The van has power everything inc.windows, door locks seats and power mirrors. It has and am/fm cassette,I know a joke! Right? The van has front and rear air which blows cold and heats hot! There is a homemade center console which is great, and behind the front 2 seats is a flat screen t.v with dvd, great for kids! The van has a tow package and a romote starter- alarm too!The van has 2 captains chairs in front and 2 behind- no third row bench seat so the van seats 4.The space in the back has always come in handy for hockey equipment or to haul band equipment while still seating 4. A bench can be purchased for cheap money and bolted down,I never had the need!
The van runs excellent and the tires are strong-Michellins.Everything works mechanically including all the gauges.I cant think of anything the van needs. The title is clear and so is the car-fax,never in an accident. I can not think of anything else, and if you have any questions please feel free to e-mail me and I will be glad to answer as honestly as I can. There will be "no reserve" on this van so whoever is the high bidder-no matter what price will win the auction! Please bid with confidence and please be fare with the rest of the bidders by bidding with 100% intention to buy! Good luck and again thank you. Rich

Ford Police Interceptor with 2.0L EcoBoost rated most fuel-efficient police sedan
Tue, 26 Nov 2013Back in September, Ford announced a non-pursuit version of its Police Interceptor Sedan, which swaps out a choice of two V6 engines for a fuel-efficient 2.0-liter EcoBoost inline four-cylinder. This Special Service Police Sedan will be marketed to law enforcement agencies looking to cut fuel costs and don't need the extra power.
For college campuses, detectives and the like, this new police car has now been certified with EPA fuel economy estimates of 20 miles per gallon in the city, 32 mpg on the highway and a combined rating of 24 mpg. These figures represent a decrease of two mpg in city and combined ratings compared to the civilian-spec 2014 Taurus. These police cars still offer active grille shutters for better aerodynamics, although we're guessing agencies upfitting their cars with light bars and push bumpers aren't exactly concerted with aerodynamics. The true benefit of the SSP version is when it's compared against other police sedan options like the Dodge Charger, Chevy Impala, Chevy Caprice and even the V6 Police Interceptor Sedan.
Ford claims the new Police Interceptor Sedan SSP is the most fuel-efficient current option for police departments, saying that this car can save $1,720 per car over three years and almost $260,000 over the same span of time for fleets with 150 vehicles. There is an official press release posted below, and also check out the gallery of images from Ford collected from various police agencies across the US (although none show the 2.0-liter SSP model). Head on over to Ford's Police Interceptor mini-site for even more pictures of the Police Interceptor Sedan and Utility.
Ford dealer loses Super Bowl bet, pays $300K to lucky customers [w/video]
Tue, 11 Feb 2014A Missouri Ford dealership's Super Bowl weekend sale cost it big when the improbable happened. Hutcheson Ford ran a promotion from January 29 to February 1, called the Super Weekend Sale. The gist was, if any customer purchased a vehicle between those dates and either the opening or second-half kickoff of the big game was returned for a touchdown, the dealership would refund the purchase price.
In the dealership's defense, it seemed like a safe bet. According to the mathematicians, there was just a 2.5-percent chance of either half opening with a touchdown return. But that didn't stop Seattle's Percy Harvin from doing his part to ruin Denver's evening, returning the second-half kick for an 87-yard touchdown run. Twelve Hutcheson customers were eligible for refunds thanks to the return, with prices ranging from $10,000 to $55,000, according to Automotive News. The total amount shelled out by the dealership? $300,000.
"At least we're not like that furniture guy that lost $7 million," dealership marketing manager Kathleen Frazier told AN. We think it was a big success." The dealership did take out insurance to cover its losses, meaning the $300K won't come entirely from its pockets.
Shelby GT500 laps N"urburgring in under 7:40?
Wed, 30 Oct 2013A couple of weeks ago we brought you footage and official times of the new Chevy Camaro Z/28 lapping the Nürburgring. With a 7:37.47 lap time, the Z/28 emerged as the fastest muscle car ever to lap the circuit. But what was missing from that picture was how fast the king of all Mustangs, the Shelby GT500, could manage to lap the Nordschleife.
Ford never released any information or footage of the GT500 on the Nürburgring that we were aware of - that is, until the guys at SVTPerformance.com put in a request for Mustang videos. Among the clips they received was never-seen, in-car footage of the Shelby GT500 lapping the circuit. And boy did it hustle.
Although not quite official, the video seems to show the GT500 lapped the venerated German track in a touch under 7:40. That would make it a tick or two faster than the Camaro ZL1 - but what of the Z/28? By Chevy's quoted time, the Z/28 is still faster than the GT500, but SVTPerformance suggests GM may have fudged the numbers a bit and scrubbed half a second or so off their lap time.
