Up for Auction is a 17 foot Ford converted into a Class B Motor Home.  That is perfect for camping or traveling on vacation.  Very reliable and drives nice down the road getting 16 MPG.  Has a kitchen for cooking, Toilet, bed and TV. Everything you need for a nice relaxing time.

The cabinets are house quality, not your usual cheaper motor home quality.  The counter top around the over area is black Granite tiles perfect for heat absorbing, you can place hot items with out worrying about burning your top.  Perfect for cooking.  The rest of the counter tops are made of brown and tan expensive Porcelain tiles, using light Earth tones to  really give a homely feel.  There is a smaller RV size oven for cooking.  Oven is in good working order, perfect for cooking on the go.  The oven is electric, so you can cook while driving, and don't have to worry about lighting and putting out pilot lights.  Built in refrigerator, keep your drinks and snacks cold while driving down the road.  When you arrive at your destination, you can hook up your house quality kitchen sink.  Having your own running water is under rated when camping.

There is a flushable toilet which might be the most convenient item you can have on a camping or road trip.  There is nothing like not having to use public camping toilets or having to stop when the kids have to use the bathroom.  Lets face it young kids will go in the van if you have a toilet or not.  Might as well give them one.  The toilet flushes with water into its own storage tank.  The whole tank can be removed to dump and clean.  You do not need to drive to a dump station.  The tank is smaller size but can last for a decent camping trip or until you reach your road trip destination.  The whole toilet is portable and can be removed from the RV to take out on a boat or hike.

The RV seats 8 people, 2 in the front and 6 in the back.  The 2 beach seats in the back are shaped to fit an RV full size mattress, which can easily sleep 2 people.  The front captain chairs can be connected to use to fit a single person mattress if needed.  Very comfortable to sleep in.  a 20 inch TV comes with the RV. we just put in a 50 inch HD LCD TV.  Fills up the whole back wall, great for watching TV in bed.  With the 50 inch filling up the whole back, makes it feel like you are in the movie theater.  The bigger TV we can add with the deal for an extra 400.00 over the bid price.  The TV is brand new, just opened the box a week ago.  The mattress also need to be purchased separately.

The RV has a towing package for towing a boat or jet ski.    Professional grade roof racks have been installed, these can carry a small boat on top of the RV, or a pair of surf boards, wakeboards or ski's.  The whole RV has been designed to use the best of its space and just have a good time.  One side of the RV windows have been replaced with a dark out wood wall for privacy and added strength for the kitchen. The rest of the windows have curtains for privacy. The curtains are a light natural green that goes well with the Earth tone Porcelain counter tops.

The RV is in good condition and everything works well.  The carpet is a little worn in places as this has been a well used RV.  There is a few small dents and scratches.  a few small rips in the ceiling.  The back seats are in near perfect condition.  The front drivers seat shows a little wear.  The pictures were taken 2 days before posting, so you can see for yourself the condition.  There are a few cosmetic issues, but everything works well including the oven and refrigerator.  The motor and transmission are in good working order.  and you wont find the cabinet quality and Porcelain counter tops in any RV in this price range.

The tires are in good shape with plenty of tread left.  Power windows, mirrors, and door locks in full working order.  All windows are tinted for privacy.  Brakes are in good condition.

I can arrange for you to view before action ends.  Please be sure before you bid.

Please ask any questions you have about the RV.

The RV is secure in storage and will have to be shipped, If you are local in the area I will pay to ship for free to your house if you are with in 60 miles.  If you want to pick up, I can have it shipped to a local place in Puyallup where you can drive it away.  If you are further away I can get you a great deal on shipping rates.

Some sample rates are:

To New York  :  $800.00

To California  :  $400.00

For rate quotes please ask before auction ends.  Shipping is done by an independent company.

To answer a common question, The car only needs to be shipped because of its location, they will not let random people pick up from the storage.  The RV Drives down the road very well and does not need anything.  If you want to pick up the RV I can arrange to have it moved to the outside of the storage and you can drive it home.  They do charge me to do this, but I am paying the cost, so if you are local for the same price the company will deliver.  And if you are further away I can get a really good rate for you, let me know where  you are and I can get you a price before you bid.  So you can pick up locally, and the RV is very drivable.

TX officer allegedly lets 140-mph street racer go with a warning [w/poll]

Tue, 26 Aug 2014

Being pulled over by the police is one of the most nerve-racking situations that a driver can go through, and it's even worse when you know that the officer has you dead to rights for speeding well over the posted limit. In this video, the driver of a heavily modified Ford Mustang with a claimed 966 horsepower at the rear wheels could have easily lost his ride for doing triple-digit speeds and street racing, but a friendly Texas police officer appears to send him on his way with a simple warning.
What's more, the driver in question wasn't just speeding - his Mustang was the camera car for a bunch of rolling street races in the wee hours of the morning on a Texas highway. The driver was more than willing to mix it up in the action, too. Eventually the cops catch on and pick the 'Stang to pull over, but not before the Ford owner runs a claimed 140 mph. With only audio to go on after the car is pulled over, the police officer seems incredibly nonchalant about catching someone who was so brazenly breaking the law. Incredibly, the patrolman actually tells the driver that he's seen everyone racing tonight but ignored them. With traffic picking up, the cop says that it's time to "cut it out" and go home for the night. As far as this video shows, that was the end of it.
Warning: There is explicit, not-safe-for-work language in the video below.

Is that the Ford GT Le Mans racer in the background of this Forza video?

Mon, Jan 26 2015

Shortly after the reveal of the new Ford GT in Detroit a couple of weeks ago, Microsoft announced that it was putting the new American supercar on the cover of the upcoming sixth installment of the Forza Motorsport video game series. Now it has put out a video of the process of digitizing Dearborn's latest. Whether you're into Detroit steel (or carbon fiber and aluminum in this case), exotic supercars or video games, the video is worth a watch in and of itself. But our eyes were focused on something else. In the background of one shot (around the 1:49 mark) you can see a design board with renderings of what looks to be the rumored racing version of the GT – complete with reshaped air intakes, deeper side sills, a bigger rear wing and a central rear fin like you'd find on the latest LMP1 racing prototypes. It wouldn't be the first time we've caught wind of the prospect of the Blue Oval's new supercar going racing. We first heard of the plans last October, further reinforced in December with reports of the new GT coming to Detroit. And as we reported just a couple of weeks ago following the supercar's reveal, a return to Le Mans could be in the cards – which would be fortuitous timing, since next year will mark the 50th anniversary of the original GT40 scoring its landmark 1-2-3 finish in the 24-hour race.

Auto critic calls out Corvette, Mustang and Cherokee faithful

Mon, 26 Aug 2013

Most automotive purists fear change, but not without reason. Change, after all, did kill big-block V8s, along with most station wagons and manual transmissions. But change has also brought with it far more performance, safety and fuel economy - not to mention ridding the world of shag carpet interiors, bias-ply tires and those horrible motorized seatbelts of the early '90s.
By this time next year, the Chevy Corvette, Jeep Cherokee and next-generation Ford Mustang will all be on sale and will all, in some way, have angered or offended purists. To those critics, Mark Phelan of the Detroit Free Press is preemptively telling them to stop complaining - at least until they've all been driven. From the Corvette's square taillights and the Cherokee's radical nose to whatever pony car purists will harp on the 2015 Mustang for, Phelan's column points out the positives of automotive evolution and the negatives of staying the course for too long. That's fair enough, but do you think Phelan is on point, or all wet? Head on over to the Detroit Free Press to read his words, then have your say in Comments.
