1987 4 Wheel Drive Ford Van, .. on 2040-cars
Randsburg, California, United States
PLEASE READ THIS REVISION ABOUT THE VANS ODOMETER AND MILEAGE.... I have been getting a lot of questions about the vans actual mileage due to the fact that the odometer /speedometer do not work..I want to make this very clear so their are no misunderstandings with whoever may bid on this ...The actual mileage of the van is believed to be around 140,000 miles maybe as much as 150,000 miles tops..The second owner purchased the van in 1999..15 years ago.The speedometer was non functioning when he bought it.The mileage on the odometer was around 133,000 miles..He rarely drove the van..he thinks he put maybe 15,000 miles on it.. no more ,and probably less..He said the speedo and odometer would work sporatically ..I got the van from him several months ago for payment of a debt..When I got the van the odometer read 133,000 and change the odometer is not dependable the tenth indicator at times runs backwards.the 3rd number from the right goes up and down..the furthest number on the left has shown a 6 a 3 and a 1 since I have been driving it over the last few months..I am 100% coinfident that the van has somewhere between 139,000 to 149,000 miles on it.original miles..I got a new cable to fix the problem ,but got discouraged when I found out the amount of work involved to replace it...If you drove the van and looked at the suspension, rubber, brake pedal wear, the tightness of the entire rig you would know that this is all the truth...I do not wish to have any dissatisfied bidders..This is an older but very well maintained solid dependable 4 wheel drive rig..
For sale is a well maintained 4 wheel drive van.It has a 351 Ford small block that runs on gas and runs well.Very reliable .No problems. The inside of the van is finished in custom mahogany wood. The 4 wheel drive was an aftermarket install very professionally done.No problems with it.The engine has an aftermarket exhaust system without cat.converters.So it wont pass a Ca.smog test ,but the engine runs great. The van has only 3,000 miles on new B.F. Goodrich all terrain tires. It also comes with an aux.gas tank and K/C daylighters ,Warn front locking hubs and a heavy duty tow hitch receiver .This van has been driven very little in the last 10 years of its life.It has a clear title and is Ca. registered until August of 2014 This van was owned by a close friend of mine for 13 years. He only put 15,000 miles on it during the duration of his ownership..It has been a smoke free car during these years...It has no problems that I am aware of other than the fact that it will not pass California smog requirements due to the custom exhaust..Cash sale only....The transfer case is a model #205. |

Ford debuts Fusion NASCAR racer that edges closer to stock [w/video]
Wed, 20 Feb 2013The sixth-generation NASCAR Sprint Cup racecar, which will make its competition debut at the 2013 Daytona 500 this weekend, marks the closest thing to a "stock car" that the sport has seen in more than 20 years. No longer using just stickers to distinguish the different brands, the image above shows the lengths NASCAR and automakers went in order to create a racecar design that more closely resembles the individual cars they represent.
Ford, one of the more open and vocal OEMs regarding the Gen6 car's development, is giving us a closer look at its racing version of the Fusion with a pretty revealing side-by-side comparison with last years' racer (click above for an expanded view). Aside from the more realistic front end and production-like body lines, the overall shape, dimensions and proportions have also been designed to give the racecar a more stock appearance. Most of the new racer was designed by the Ford Design Center, which the automaker says was the first time it has been so involved in the design process since the 1960s. Of course, one area the Sprint Cup Fusion really differs from the production Fusion is its Ford Racing 5.8-liter V8 producing around 850 hp. Can you say Fusion SVT?

The history and future of the Ford Bronco
Tue, 17 Jun 2014
Some have suggested that the Bronco's demise was hastened by the fallout from the O.J. trial.
Twenty years ago today, ex-NFL linebacker Al "A.C." Cowlings drove his friend and onetime running back Orenthal James "O.J." Simpson on a parade lap of the Los Angeles highway system and onto an ignoble page of the history books. If you're in your late 20s or older, or a fastidious young student of 1990s American history, you're absolutely aware that Al and O.J.'s steed for the 'chase' was a white Ford Bronco. The white Ford Bronco, even.
James Franco and tiger tease Ford Super Bowl commercial
Sat, 01 Feb 2014Ford has just released a teaser for its Super Bowl ad, and unlike just about every other automaker, it seems that the Blue Oval is going to make us wait until Sunday to see the full spot. The teaser is, um, strange.
It stars James Franco, who believes he is Ron Riggle, the comedian, Fox NFL Sunday host and retired Marine lieutenant colonel. There's also a tiger. The vague spot has Franco claiming that "this is no ordinary commercial." You'll note on the bottom right, there's a Ford logo and the hashtag #nearlydouble.
According to Automotive News, it's part of a massive viral effort being pushed forward by Ford and its dealerships. Ford sent different teasers and "vignettes" to dealership employees and asked them to share them on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, in the hopes of creating a viral effect.
