Mechanically- X5 Axle ratio drives very smoothly. Just serviced with new oil change, rear end fluid is clean, new air filter, A/C is ice cold, heat blows hot. This vehicle is nice and tight, smooth and quiet with no issues. Vehicle has (4) newer matching Goodyear newer RS-A 235/55/17 tires with good front and rear brakes. Transmission shifts nice and smooth and engine operates as it should. There are no leaks of any kind and this vehicle is ready for its new home. Exterior-is nice and clean. There are no exterior holes on the rood or trunk. Paint is nice and shiny! There are three plugged holes on the roof. There are a few dings on the vehicle from being in service that can be corrected with PDR. Interior- Seat are clean with very minimal wear. Vehicle was just detailed and is nice and clean. Ford launches pair of recalls affecting fullsize sedans and Transit Connect van
Wed, Jan 28 2015Ford has announced a pair of pretty significant recalls affecting the 2010-2013 Ford Taurus and Police Interceptor, as well as their platform-mate, the Lincoln MKS. A separate recall covers the 2014 Transit Connect. The fullsize sedans include 205,000 vehicles built at Chicago Assembly over a variety of timeframes, ranging between December 1, 2009 and November 30, 2012. The vehicles, 194,889 of which were sold in the United States, have an issue with the spring controls on the interior door handles that could cause the door to open in a side-impact crash. The Transit Connect recall, meanwhile, includes 16,100 vans built between November 6, 2013 and September 20,2014 at the company's Valencia, Spain factory. In these vehicles, the seatbelt fasteners may not have been tightened properly, which could cause them to loosen over time, a condition that's obviously bad news in the event of a crash. Ford says it is not aware of any accidents, injuries or crashes in either recall. Owners will, of course, be notified and asked to report in for inspections and if necessary, free replacements. Ford going bonkers at SEMA with 57 showcars
Sat, 19 Oct 2013Ford always shows up in force at the SEMA Show, but this year's tally of 57 custom-tuned cars, trucks and vans is more than we can ever recall the Blue Oval bringing. Ford will introduce 28 of its project vehicles in its "Dreamcase" ahead of next month's show. The first batch of eight you'll find here with the remaining vehicles trickling into public view over the next couple of weeks.
This first group of cars includes a Fiesta, four Fiesta ST hatchbacks and a trio of Mustang show cars styled and tuned to varying degrees all by different aftermarket companies. Tanner Foust, Nitto Tire, 3dCarbon and Ice Nine Group are some of the more familiar names affixed to these cars. Our favorite so far is the Hollywood Hot Rods Mustang convertible (shown above) with its removable aluminum top and methanol-injected, 750-horsepower 5.0-liter V8.
