2008 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor (P71), about 57,5xx original miles. Drives perfect, smooth shifting, no vibrations, pleasure to drive. Has been my daily driver for the past two years. Everything works.

This is a California police car. Clean and clear title, in hand.

Power driver's seat with lumbar support, power windows, power door locks, mirrors, etc. A/C blows ice cold.

Brand new Michelin Primacy MXV4 tires. Very quite and smooth 65,000 mile warranty tires, purchased this spring from tirerack.com

JVC double din aftermarket radio with dual USB input for your cell phone and iPod. It has a bluetooth connection and microphone for hands free phone calls, works great! AM/FM/CD/mp3 stereo. Rear speakers, upgraded Alpine's with an Amp in the truck.

Full sized spare tire.

Cruise control. Car drives straight with no alignment issues. There is no pulling or vibrations on the steering wheel/tires. This is a fully serviced vehicle. The transmission shifts strong and smooth the way it should.

No spotlights, foam inserts in place. Plastic floor, vinyl rear seats, very clean. Front driver's seat shows wear through from police holster.

Some spots with black touch up paint visible. Very clean undercarriage. Absolutely no rust in or underneath the door jams, has been garaged for the past two years.

1969 Ford Talladega GPT Special is a SEMA showstopper

Thu, 07 Nov 2013

Rad Rides by Troy has unleashed upon the SEMA crowds this custom 1969 Ford Torino Talladega GT Special, and it's a beauty. The car calls to mind the classic Holman Moody stock cars that circled NASCAR tracks in the late 1960's, driven by the likes of Mario Andretti, Dan Gurney and David Pearson, who won the Grand National title in both 1968 and '69 in a Ford Torino.
Even though it has plenty of stock-car influence, there's nothing retro about the car's design or powertrain, other than the fact that the engine is based on a Ford Boss 429 block. Fuel injection, aftermarket aluminum heads and a high-tech custom computer system combine to send 750 reliable ponies to the rear wheels through a Tremec five-speed manual transmission. Brakes measure 14-inches all around, with six-piston Wilwood calipers up front and four-piston units out back.
There's custom bodywork abound, painted in a two-tone Tennessee Whiskey Gold and Daytona Sand finish. Check out all the amazing details in the image gallery below, and scroll down to read all about it in designer Troy Trepanier's own words.

Mulally confirms he's not leaving Ford for Microsoft

Tue, 07 Jan 2014

In recent months, rumors had been flying about Ford CEO Alan Mulally potentially leaving the company to take a position at Microsoft. Last we heard, Mulally was planning to stick around at Ford through at least 2014, and in an interview today, that bit was confirmed by the CEO himself.
According to the Associated Press, in a report from The Detroit News, Mulally said he will not be leaving Ford for Microsoft, and reiterated that he will remain at the Blue Oval through 2014, if not longer. Mulally has "no plans other than to serve Ford," according to the report.
Mulally did not say whether or not he had been in talks with Microsoft at any point. Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer has said he plans to leave the software company sometime this year.

Concentrated ST Formula Proves Just As Potent
I'm not the jealous type... usually. But I will fully admit to being somewhat of a Pouty Polly when I read executive editor Chris Paukert's report after driving the then-new 2013 Ford Focus ST through the impossibly pretty southern French Alps region last June. I feel like a broken record saying this yet again, but hot hatchbacks hold a special place in my heart. And while I'm always giddy to drive any sort of small, turbocharged three- or five-door at home in Detroit, my jealousy was indeed piqued after hearing Paukert tell about the challenging yet breathtaking roads he encountered while driving the flamin' yellow Focus. You know, the sort of roads that, from above, look like carelessly drizzled lines of icing on the frosted Alpen caps.
Several months later, I found myself piloting a Focus ST just west of metro Detroit, pitting it head-to-head against one of Autoblog's perennial favorite cars, the Volkswagen GTI. It was fantastic - enough so that I fully stand behind my statement that in terms of balls-out performance, the Focus ST cannot be beat as far as today's front-wheel-drive hatches are concerned.
