2008 Crown Victoria Interceptor (P71), ex-State Patrol supervisors unit (as evidenced by rare factory paint color, lower than usual idle hours and never had push bumper, cage, lightbar or decals). Car drives solid & tight, everything works, 121,006 miles and 1763 idle hours. Minor nicks & scratches in original paint consistent with age & use. 3 plugged holes in trunk lid. Has very good tires (Goodyear Eagle Ultra-grip), matching spare tire (no jack), full wheel covers (can swap for small center caps if you prefer), equipped with power windows, door locks & mirrors (heated). Also has rear window defroster, AM/FM radio, cloth front bucket seats with vinyl rear seat, black full carpet, tilt steering wheel with cruise control. A/C and heat work properly. Spot light works properly or I can remove it if you prefer a less than "cop look". I have driven this car 1000 miles with no problems noticed & would not hesitate to drive it anywhere. Also, just had a new windshield installed since the old one was cracked & pitted. Please look at the pictures and use "ask the seller" for any questions you may have. You'll notice the engine compartment has not been detailed or soaked with armor-all. Has about 1000 miles on recent oil change. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. I can deliver to local San Antonio shipping locations but you must make all arrangements and only after full payment is received. NO financing or trades please and SERIOUS buyers only. I can pick you up at San Antonio International Airport if you fly in. New Texas registration & inspection, ready to drive away! Clear title in hand. Willing to also store (after full payment received) for a reasonable period of time until you can fly in or make shipping arrangements. Prefer $500 deposit within 2 days of auction end. Should you be the winning bidder and arrive to find the car is not as described I will refund your deposit less ebay fees and you can go on your way. Also, no additional "fees", what you bid is what you pay. Remember, this is not a new car and it will have imperfections, nicks & scratches consistent with age & use. Sold "as is-where is" with no warranty. Also listed locally so I reserve the right to cancel auction at any time. Thanks for looking and good luck! (Email seller for buy it now price) |

Hear the 2015 Mustang GT V8 roar for the first time
Wed, 26 Jun 2013Our combined knowledge of the 2015 Ford Mustang continues to deepen, as spy shooters have begun to compile video and audio of the upcoming sixth-generation car.
Case in point is this latest series of video clips, which not only gives us a great vantage point of the Mustang in motion, but also allows us to hear the Ford V8 engine and exhaust. After perusing the aural delights of this short video, which, admittedly, doesn't catch the Mustang GT at full song, we can at least say that the throaty exhaust isn't disappointing.
Chances are good that the 2015 Mustang GT will debut with some version of the current (and excellent) Coyote 5.0-liter V8 engine, though we're unclear as to whether or not the motor has been massaged for its next-gen debut, or what may have been done to exhaust plumbing. At this point, we're just happy to hear the pony run. Scroll below to hear for yourself.
Ford starting up 2.0L EcoBoost engine production in Ohio
Fri, 22 Feb 2013Joe Hinrichs, Ford's President of The Americas (pictured above), announced today that in late 2014, the automaker will be building the 2.0-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder at its Cleveland Engine Plant, a move requiring a $200-million investment and the hiring of 450 new employees. European-built Ford products will continue to source this engine from the Valencia, Spain plant where all of these EcoBoost four-cylinder engines are currently built, and the new Cleveland engines will be used for all North American-made models.
Ford is planning to build its popular EcoBoost engines regionally to maximize production capacity and meet customer demand. Last year, Ford sold 334,364 vehicles with EcoBoost engines in the US alone, and that number is expected to swell to more than 500,000 by the end of this year, with global sales expected to total 1.6 million. By 2015, Ford says that 95 percent of its nameplates will offer an EcoBoost engine.
One such vehicle that could be adding an EcoBoost engine, according to Automotive News, is none other than the 2015 Ford Mustang. The report says that Ford could use either the 2.0-liter EcoBoost or an upcoming 2.3-liter EcoBoost in the sixth-generation pony car.
Ford talking unibody Ranger replacement
Mon, 18 Feb 2013Now here's some welcome news. Car and Driver reports Ford is seriously mulling a replacement for the recently deceased Ranger, but the successor to the compact pickup's throne may not look anything like what we've seen from the nameplate in the past.
While speaking at the 2013 Chicago Auto Show, Doug Scott, marketing manager for Ford Trucks, said there's still a market for a smaller pickup, but that buyers expect to see a larger differentiation between the smaller utility vehicles and their full size counterparts in price, capability and fuel economy.
According to Scott, that means a vehicle with a payload capacity of around 1,000 pounds paired with a towing capacity of 3,000 pounds and "a dramatic reduction in fuel consumption." But the biggest piece of that recipe is the price tag, and Scott says to keep the MSRP far enough away from the already cheap F-150, the answer could come in the form of a unibody design. Scott says target customers in this market don't care whether the truck has a traditional frame or not, so long as it's tough enough to do the job and has the capability they need.
