2008 Ford Crown Victoria P71 Police Interceptor on 2040-cars
Livonia, Michigan, United States
2008 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor Only 79k Miles! Very nice ’08 Interceptor from a central Michigan County Sheriff’s Office. Low mileage for today’s standards, 4,071 engine idle hours. This CVPI runs and drives great; it would make a perfect first car, taxi cab, security patrol car, or everyday driver. No evidence of crash damage. Everything is in working order, no warning lights, leaks, or strange noises. This unit is ready for a new home! Exterior: The exterior is in good overall condition. There are NO holes in the roof or trunk. Dual working Unity spot lamps remain on the vehicle however; there is corrosion inside of them. There are some areas where paint has flaked off / scratched on the hood / passenger quarter panel. The front bumper cover has been modified for a wrap-around push bumper, minor damage to the rear bumper cover – see photos. Nice Goodyear Eagle RSA Ultra-Grip pursuit-rated directional tires with plenty of tread left – great for winter driving! Interior: The interior is very nice on this CVPI. The Interceptor is equipped with the heavy-duty rubber floor covering, bucket front seats, new matching cloth rear seat. There are no holes in the front dashboard trim. 4 small holes on the top of the dashboard (radar unit mount.) It appears that this car never had a prisoner partition installed, no holes in the B-pillars / floor pan. The headliner is very nice – no wear / holes. The front seats are in great condition, no holes or gun-belt wear like many other former police cars. Rear door hardware is NOT installed at this time. Equipped with power windows / door locks / mirrors, AM/FM stereo etc. Safety Features:

Ford builds two-millionth EcoBoost engine
Tue, 17 Sep 2013Ford's EcoBoost engine lineup is only four years old, but it is growing into an important and popular global engine. As proof of its popularity, Ford just produced its 2 millionth EcoBoost engine - a 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder - which rolled off the assembly line in Louisville, Kentucky under the hood of an Escape.
Ford now offers five EcoBoost engines around the world ranging from the 1.0-liter inline-three to the twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6, and the automaker is expanding production of two of its engine lines to keep up with demand. Earlier this year, Ford announced that the 2.0-liter EcoBoost would be built in Cleveland, Ohio starting in 2014 and, more recently, Ford said that it will be doubling production of the 1.0-liter EcoBoost in Germany. That turbo-three will also be produced in China at a new Ford engine plant in Chongqing.
Scroll down for Ford's full press release on this EcoBoost production milestone, including a breakdown of where all the engines were made.
Are you a new Ford Mustang SVO? [w/video]
Fri, 16 May 2014When Ford announced that its 2015 Mustang would arrive with a 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder engine, three letters came to mind: SVO. While Ford hasn't said a word regarding the rebirth of a Mustang SVO model, this latest set of spy shots shows us something very, very interesting. Allow us to explain.
The Mustang prototype in these photos looks very similar to the GT500 test cars we've spotted before - same bulging hood, aggressive front fascia and air vents aft of the front wheels. What's different, however, is around back. Have a look at the exhaust, and note that instead of the GT500's usual quad pipes, two of the exhaust outlets have been capped off.
Our spies point out that these exhaust outlets could be closed for some sort of emissions testing or another engineering reason, but it's also important to note that the engine and exhaust notes of this car sound completely different from earlier GT500 prototypes. We've got a video below that compares the two.
Ford reveals all-new Everest SUV at Asia-Pacific forum [w/poll]
Thu, 13 Nov 2014While the Explorer may have shifted from a truck-based sport-ute to a car-based crossover, Ford still offers buyers on the other side of the Pacific a Ranger-based SUV in the form of the Everest. And at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit in Beijing today, the Blue Oval revealed the all-new version you see here.
Previewed in concept form over a year ago and made specifically for the Asia-Pacific market, the new Ford Everest is designed to be more refined on the road and more capable off of it. Like the Explorer once was, the new Everest is based on a stretched version of the overseas Ford Ranger pickup. Depending on the specific market, Ford will offer the new Everest with a range of engines including a 2.0-liter EcoBoost turbo four and two Duratorq turbodiesels - a 2.2-liter four and a 3.2-liter inline-five - mated to a six-speed automatic transmission.
Earmarked to take on the likes of the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado (known in these parts as the Lexus GX) and the Jeep Grand Cherokee, the new Everest promises rock-crawlers even better off-road capabilities. It's got nearly nine inches of ground clearance, over 30 inches of wading depth, a 29-degree approach and 25-degree departure angles and a set of features including on-the-fly adjustable four-wheel drive.
