Up for sale is this clean and strong 2007 Ford Crown Victoria P71 Police Interceptor. This unit was assigned to one supervisor Law Enforcement Agent working w/the Drug Enforcement Government Agency. It ONLY has 107K miles with just over 1900 Idling Hours. These are low hours below average since your average retired P71 comes with 5000 to 6000 ideling hours and I have seen them with as high as 14000 idling hours and the engine and tranny still running great and strong. The P71 is a legendary vehicle built to last and with proper on time maintenance it will last its civilian owner/family for many years. The engine in this unit runs very smooth, and very strong. You have to see it and test drive it in order to understand how nice and clean this unit really is. It comes with the highly desirable Street Appearance Package along with great factory Executive/Coach Cloth Seats that you don't usually see in Police Interceptors. The seats are in super clean shape with no rips, stains, or any odors of any kind. The back seat is very clean as if it was never even used. It also comes with black factory carpet with only few small signs of wear and tear on the driver side. By no means, this is a reliable Police Interceptor that is very responsive, strong, and super fast. Mechanically speaking, this is in great shape and absolutely needs nothing. This car has been really taken care of during its service. The AC blows very cold as it should and the heat works great. Every factory option in this car works as it should. Just inspected and ready for sale. Windows are clean with no cracks. The body is rust free. It is super clean underneath. Only minor scratches. The paint shines great. The tires have lots of tread. Only one tire in the front needs balanced and causes a very minor vibration. Other than that this car is ready to go. Ford, Volvo top 2014 EyesOn Design awards
Fri, 17 Jan 2014Each year at the Detroit Auto Show, the top vehicle designs are recognized with the prestigious EyesOn Design award for production and concept vehicles. This year, the 32 EyesOn Design judges (comprised of current and former vehicle designers including Chrysler designer and SRT president Ralph Gilles, Kia designer Peter Schreyer and retired General Motors designer Wayne Cherry) handed out three awards for the Best Concept Vehicle, Best Production Vehicle and Innovative Use of Color, Graphics, and Materials.
Beating out the Mercedes C-Class and Ford F-150, the 2015 Ford Mustang was named the Best Production Vehicle as the top auto show debut at this year's Detroit show. The 2014 Volvo Concept XC Coupe took home awards as the Best Concept Vehicle and for its Innovative Use of Color, Graphics and Materials.
Considering the Volvo's primer grey hue and subtle orange accents, it was a rather surprising winner for Innovative Use of Color, Graphics, and Materials over flashier concepts like the Toyota FT-1 and our Editors' Choice top pick, the Kia GT4 Stinger. Ford 1.0L takes third-straight International Engine of the Year award
Thu, 26 Jun 2014Ford's 1.0-liter EcoBoost is proving to be The Little Engine That Could, and it continues to acquit itself well, finding favor as one of the best powerplants in the world. To confirm it yet again, the tiny mill just won the International Engine of the Year award for the third year in a row, likewise also nabbing the title in the Sub 1.0-liter category.
Packing 123 horsepower and 148 pound-feet of torque with overboost (125 lb-ft normally), the tiny engine combines impressive power in a size small enough to be a carry-on item for a commercial flight. US buyers only got a taste of the award winner in the 2014 Fiesta, while the 1.0 EcoBoost has been available throughout the Ford lineup in Europe for a few years now. American sales have reportedly been strong, however, and next up in the US, the mill will find its way into the 2015 Focus.
The panel of 82 jury members from 34 countries also named the Mercedes-AMG 2.0-liter turbo found in the A45, CLA45 and GLA45 AMG models with 355 hp and 332 lb-ft as the best New Engine for 2014. The electric powertrain from Tesla won Green Engine prize, and the 4.5-liter V8 from the Ferrari 458 Italia took home the honor of top Performance Engine yet again. Jay Leno is far beyond driven in his 1971 Pantera

It's short, aggressive and makes a mean sound. It doesn't mess around either, with a Ford 351-cubic-inch (5.75-liter) V8 sending mountains of torque to the rear wheels. This week, Jay Leno takes us on a detailed tour of his '71 to show why it rocks.
There's a regular format to Jay Leno's Garage. It starts with Jay and maybe a guest taking a look at the car and talking about its history, and then they take it out on the open road. However, this video is practically a Pantera buyer's guide. Jay is adamant from the start that the last thing anyone should own is a stock example. To remedy this, he and his guest, the editor of the Pantera Club magazine, take viewers to school about some of the ways to turn them into even better performance machines.
No matter what you do to it, though, the Pantera requires that the driver adapt to it, not the other way around. For example, Jay isn't a big guy by most standards, but he has to cram himself into the cockpit with his shoes off and shirt partially unbuttoned just to go for a drive.
