2007 Crown Victoria Police - Exceptionally Clean, Very Strong on 2040-cars
Sylmar, California, United States
Excellent candidate for use as a service vehicle or for private use (or Both- it’s a very comfortable car). Only one civilian owner- tags good until Feb 2015; Tires nearly new, it has Icy A/C, the oil was just changed, and it has a full tank of gas! 137K miles with only 74 idle hours (this appears to have been a single-officer’s car, and not a ‘cruiser’, hence the very low idle hours). COMPLETELY Straight and clean body with no scratches or dents, repainted solid black with clear coat- nice shine. This car was Not Abused. No accidents (Carfax available) runs and drives perfectly (Very Fast, strong runner). Some Police options include engine enhancements, larger than stock brakes and sway bars, sound deadening strips and etc. (factory build sheet listing all installed options included). Both spotlights work (EVERYTHING on car works), very clean interior, tinted rear windows and AM/FM Stereo. Asking $5000 or Best Offer. Local pick-up only. Call or E-mail Tom. Thanks for looking and Good Luck.

Ford builds one-off 50th anniversary Mustang Convertible for charity
Thu, 08 May 2014At the New York Auto Show this year, Ford revealed a special-edition Mustang to honor the iconic pony car's 50th anniversary. Only 1,964 highly symbolic examples will be made, all of them fixed-roof coupes. But the Blue Oval automaker has just announced that it's also building a single 50 Years edition convertible that it will raffled off for charity.
The first production example of the new Mustang Convertible to roll off the line this fall, this one-off will pack many of the features on the 50 Years coupe, including its white paintjob, chrome trim, aluminum dashboard, two-tone upholstery, contrast stitching, special 19-inch wheels and special-edition badging throughout.
This unique cabrio will also be fitted with a special performance pack including Pirelli PZero rubber, Brembo brakes and a limited-slip differential to help get the 420 horsepower and 390 pound-feet of torque from the 5.0-liter V8 through the six-speed manual transmission and down to the road. It'll also feature a serial plaque with the number 0001 of 0001 and chairman Bill Ford's signature.
Ford tells Congress it collects and protects some driver data
Fri, 14 Feb 2014Last month Ford's Jim Farley made waves at the CES when it was reported he told show attendees, "We have GPS in your car, so we know what you're doing. By the way, we don't supply that data to anyone." Farley and Ford later partially retracted and clarified that statement.
Spurred by a desire for further transparency on data collection policies, Ford representatives answered questions from Congress, specifically Senator Al Franken (D-Minn.), about driver privacy.
The Detroit News reports that Ford told Congress it does collect some vehicle location data in an effort to "troubleshoot and improve our products" on behalf of the driver. Ford went on to say that it only collects limited data after receiving permission from owners.
2015 Ford Mustang Convertible makes inappropriate appearance in Detroit [w/video]
Tue, 14 Jan 2014With the polar vortex fresh in the minds of Autoblog's Detroit-based staff, we're finding it funny that any manufacturer would choose January in the Motor City to show off a new and highly anticipated convertible to the general media and public for the first time. But Ford has done just that, giving us our first real peek at the new Mustang Convertible in the flesh.
The new Mustang Convertible is more or less unchanged from the standard coupe, with some subtle styling tweaks to accommodate the retractable soft top. Engine and transmission choices are identical to the hardtop, although we should expect slightly lower performance due to the hardware for the roof. Like the coupe, neither prices nor performance metrics have been published yet for the convertible.
