2005 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor Sedan 4-door 4.6l on 2040-cars
Phillipsburg, New Jersey, United States
This is a used 2005 Ford Crown Vic that I have owned for several years. It was formerly owned by the state police, so it has the search light, push bumper, window tint, and a red interior LED lamp. The car is in great shaped besides a few small scratches and a dent in the passenger door. I just bought brand new tires and had an alignment. The brakes and rear shocks are only a year old. Inside is very clean. As for the trans, it has seen better days. For some reason it won't shift into 3rd gear. It's fine for driving around town, but I wouldn't take it over 50mph till it's fixed. Not sure if it needs to be rebuilt or if the bands can be adjusted. Also I can hear an exhaust leak coming from somewhere under the car, but I can't pinpoint where. The check engine light randomly comes on for an O2 sensor, which I suspect is due to the exhaust leak. I can deliver the car to the buyer within 50 miles or so from 18064, just pay for my fuel to trailer it. |

Why Ford's Alan Mulally would be right for Microsoft, or any company
Thu, 03 Oct 2013
That Mulally was seriously being considered says a great deal about Microsoft and Mulally.
It appears that the chatter about Ford CEO Alan Mulally possibly leaving early to take over as CEO of Microsoft is losing air pretty fast. What's pretty interesting is that it got any traction in the first place.
Toyota sells six of 10 of hybrids in California
Wed, 31 Jul 2013In an apparent shot back at Ford's increasing market share of electrified vehicles and claim that it accepts more Prius trade-ins for its own hybrids than any other car, Toyota has flexed a muscle and played the numbers game to put the Blue Oval in its place.
Leaning on its hybrid market dominance in California, the Japanese automaker stated that six out of 10 hybrids sold in the Golden State are Toyota models. And it keeps coming: Year-to-date through May 2013, Toyota sold five times more hybrids than Ford. One of every two hybrids in California is a Prius model. In addition, Toyota notes that it has sold 1.5 million Prius vehicles in the US, 90-percent of which are still on the road today.
Want more? We'll let Bill Fay, Toyota's group vice president and general manager of sales lay the smack down:
Aussie Ford Falcon GT shows its rear end to Lamborghini Gallardo
Sun, 27 Apr 2014When Ford Australia announces, as it did recently, that it wants to celebrate the end of its Ford Performance Vehicle division with a Falcon FPV GT-F that celebrates big-bore origins of the nameplate, it's talking about the kind of car in this video.
At some point the classic Falcon GT - said to be an XY series - was invited to a test of acceleration against a Lamborghini Gallardo. At the very least, the Falcon GT had a 351 cubic-inch motor and 300 horsepower, but whatever this guy's got under the hood of his yellow sedan makes has him so confident that he doesn't even move his elbow from its resting place on the door.
You'll find a reminder of Ford Australia's heyday, a raucous exhaust note and some NSFW language in the short video below.
