Selling my cream puff 2005 Ford Crown Victoria LX Sport. I am the 3rd owner of the car (original owners always serviced the car at Ford). It has always been a civilian car and I ALWAYS had the car serviced at Ford (records on request). Current odometer reading at 119700. The car is the Sport Edition which has numerous differences and upgrades from any of the other Crown Victoria models. The color is dark toreador. Differences are as follows:

revised springs, shocks, and stabilizer bars.
17" alloy 5-spoke wheels (currently has 18" Mustang Fan blades professionally powdercoated)
rear air suspension.
leather seating - front bucket seats
monochromatic exterior paint.
center console with floor shift.
3.27 RAR - open differential.
dual exhaust

I have been the current owner for the past 4 years and have added some upgrades and accessories. I have not done anything to alter the integrity of the motor. Here is the list of the current additions:

18" Mustang Fan Blade rims wrapped in new (20k miles) BF Goodrich tires $1500
Upgraded to a custom 1.5" exhaust done by Eddies Speedshop in Phoenix $800
2 new stainless steel Flowmaster 40 mufflers $400
2 new Magnaflow Hi-flow Cats w/ new O2 sensors $800
Custom powdercoated exhaust tips $200
Ford Racing rear differential cover $150
Ford mud flaps $50
1.5" front-end lowering springs by Eaton $300
front Mach-1 chin spoiler $200
Ford trunk organizer $350----also have a trunk liner I would throw in (not in use) $100
Husky all-weather mats in the front and back $200
new Ford headlights and side marker $300
front and rear dashmats $100

The car has been meticulously maintained, but I would like to mention 2 extremely minor blemishes on the exterior. There is 50-cent piece size "crackle" in the clear coat on the trunk and minor puncture on the rear bumper. Also, the rear backseat has some blemishes on the leather seats (I have never tried to clean it because the rear seats have always been covered with towels to protect from my kids.

I have the clear title on-hand. Asking $6000 OBO.  All respectful offers will be considered.  There will be a non-refundable $500 deposit at the end of the auction and the remaining balance will be paid in full within the next 7 days after receiving the deposit.  If the car is being shipped, I will overnight the title after receiving the remaining balance for the car.  If the car is being picked up locally, I will only accept a cashiers check.  There are no warranties on the car and is sold as is.  Once the car is purchased it is no longer my responsibility.  I will do everything I can to help assist in a local pickup or shipment.

How Ford hid the 2015 Mustang from spy photographers

Fri, 20 Dec 2013

Now that we've finally seen the 2015 Ford Mustang, it's fun to go back and look at the spy shots we spent months pouring over, trying to dissect what was under all the camouflage. For the most part, Ford did a good job of concealing the car from spy photographers, and it released a video showing how much work went into doing so.
As crude as the Mustang's camo looked, all of the hard plastic, foam, vinyl and ratchet straps were actually created and put in place by a specific design team. The whole idea was to hide the car's identity, but it certainly ended up acting as a magnet for attention, too. According to Ford's press release, it took less than an hour for spy shots to appear online after the car was taken on public roads for the very first time - this is likely in reference to our first official spy shots of the Mustang from June, shown in the gallery below.
Scroll down for a press release and video, which shows footage of the 2015 Ford Mustang testing with minimal camouflage. This is probably the same track session where we got our first look at the Mustang's face back in August.

10 automakers sued over keyless ignitions

Thu, Aug 27 2015

Keyless ignition has rapidly proliferated throughout the auto industry to become a fairly normal feature on new cars. It's supposed to offer the convenience of keeping the fob in your pocket and just pressing a button to drive away. However, ten major automakers are now being sued in US District Court over claims that the system is dangerous, Reuters reports. The suit alleges that people are forgetting to shut off the engine, and the lack of an idle timer is the cause for 13 deaths by carbon monoxide poisoning and multiple injuries. The suit currently includes 28 plaintiffs, according to Reuters, but the lawyers are asking for class-action status to potentially add many more. The case goes after a major swath of the industry, including BMW, Daimler, FCA, Ford, General Motors, Honda, Hyundai, Nissan, Toyota, and Volkswagen, plus their related brands like Acura, Infiniti, Mini, and Lexus. In all, over five million vehicles are affected. The assertion here is that people walk away from their vehicle without shutting it off because they believe the engine shuts off automatically. If parked in a garage, carbon monoxide can build up, leading to poisoning. The lawyers claim automakers know this is a problem and also cite 27 complaints to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration about the issue, according to Reuters. The plaintiffs are asking for an automatic shut-off and damages from the companies. These concerns have come up before, though. Toyota previously faced a lawsuit over a carbon monoxide death after a woman accidentally left her Lexus running. Also earlier this year, GM recalled 64,186 examples of the 2011-2013 Chevrolet Volt because owners weren't shutting them off. The problem resulted in two injuries, and the company released a software update to limit the idling time.

Mysterious small Ford spied in Germany

Sat, 29 Jun 2013

Our spy photographers have just popped off a few shots of something curious. This little runabout was spotted in Germany out testing with a current-generation Ford Fiesta. We're fairly confident the machine is a Ford, but exactly which Ford model is up for debate. The hatchback could be the next-generation Ka, but we've also heard that the Blue Oval supermini might not get a replacement. Our shooter says the five-door is a bit smaller than the current Fiesta, though there is a chance that this rig is just an engineering mule for drivetrain development. Then again, it could be a model built specifically for the South African market or China, or not a Ford at all.
Whatever it is and wherever it's headed, you can check out in the gallery for a closer look before heading into Comments to weigh in with your best guess.
