Up for bid: 2003 Ford Interceptor-Police Vehicle. This is a real P71. It is a former marked unit from a township police department. The vehicle was well maintained. I bought it and had the transmission replaced about 5k miles ago. The transmission only has about 70k miles on it and it runs smooth. I had a new exhaust system put on as well. It is a cat back dual exhaust with flow master mufflers. The exhaust system sounds great and it has chrome tips on it and looks great too. The body is pretty straight other than some minor dings and dents, but the paint still looks good and it shines up after a good wash. You can tell this was driven in a rural area and not city driving. The engine runs strong. Don't be worried about the miles, I drove it from Pa to New York City and would drive it anywhere. It still has the antenna on the roof and trunk instead of those ugly black plugs. The vehicle turns a lot of heads and people will get out of your way when driving on the highway. The tires are still good and the Pa inspection is good until 1/14. The only thing the car may need is new wiper blades for inspection. The exhaust has a small leak in near the header and my mechanic said it would be an easy fix for about $400. and that is mostly labor. But this would not need fixed for inspection. I would probably replace the front struts if I were to keep it because the ride is not as smooth as it could be. I drive another p71 with 90k miles and the struts are smoother. I put a removable center console in the car and it could be bolted down if you want. The spot light is still on the car and is in working condition.
Paypal only for the initial money down of $500 within 3 days of auction close.
Any questions just ask. Local pickup to 17603 area code is preferred. I will deliver within 50 miles for a small fee.
final payment in cash preferred, but may make other transactions available upon my on discretion.
Thanks for looking and good luck...

Michigan museum offers Model T driving classes
Sun, 29 Dec 2013Halfway between Detroit and Chicago, there is a car museum that gives visitors a unique level of interaction with antique cars. The Gilmore Car Museum in Hickory Corners, MI has a driver's training class to teach people of any age to learn how to drive a Ford Model T.
From the crank starter to the column-mounted throttle control, this driving school teaches people all there is to know about driving and operating a Model T. Each class lasts about two and a half hours and is only open to 18 students. There are ten sessions planned for 2014 - twice a day on May 3, June 22, July 22, August 23 and September 14. The class costs $95 (or $85 for members), and it also includes a tour of the museum's automobile collection.
In addition to this driving school, the museum has plenty of exhibits on the property, and it's open all but three days per year (Easter, Christmas and New Year's Day) with free admission for school field trips and active military. Be sure to check out the Gilmore Car Museum's website or visit them on Facebook for more info.

Weekly Recap: Auto execs face life in prison for recall delays under proposed legislation
Sat, 09 Aug 2014
The stiff punishments are part of broader transportation legislation, but clearly McCaskill has automakers in her sights.
Missouri Senator Claire McCaskill threw down the gauntlet this week, proposing a bill that could send auto executives to prison for life if they were found to have delayed a recall. She also wants to eliminate the limit for fines for auto safety violations, which are currently capped at $35 million.
