Hi there!

This vehicle is a very reliable vehicle. Since I have owned it I have put little mileage on it. Most of my driving is local. As you can see in the pictures the partition is intact and ready to transport. It is very durable and trust me no one will be able to get you. A few have tried with much intent and have failed each and every time. Originally the plastic hard-seat was in the car but I wanted the original in it because not every passenger needs to be uncomfortable on purpose. The setina 12v gun rack is bolted in and ready to use. It holds a shotgun and a Ar-15 side by side. I disconnected the 12v and removed the toggle switch from the car which opens the gun rack. I do not mind selling the vehicle to a civilian but I simply do not think normal citizens should be driving around with an Ar-15 and Shotgun in their vehicles. Therefore, the gun rack works but I am not selling it as "turn-key" operational. You can be responsible for installing your own toggle switch...

The car originally came from an Arkansas national park. Carfax proves this statement in case you doubt it. I noticed it does burn oil at a slow rate. I check the oil weekly and over about a four month period it will lose somewhere around a quarter of a quart. It is dependent on how I park as well when I check it of course. I have changed the oil in it twice and both times I have used Lucas oil treatment. I believe it to be the best for all vehicles. The only problem mechanically is the transmission tends to dive into its high gear early which makes it hiccup until you give it some gas. It happens specifically when I go down a hill and then up a hill immediately after. Research has shown crown vics often do this to save gas by cruising in OD as much as possible. Overall, it is rare situation and I only mention it to be as descriptive as possible. The vehicle drives great.

I changed the brakes just before the cold weather came last year (late in the year). They are still in good condition. I also changed a few parts on the front end simply because I had the money to blow. At that time I examined the springs struts and shocks and did not replace them as I believed they are in very good shape. Perhaps, the biggest bonus of the auction is I am going to throw in two brand new tires for the vehicle. I bought them this year and intended to put them on the front end but did not do it. The back tires are in decent shape but in no where perfect. I believe the front could make it through the summer but I wouldn't brave the winter. I also want to mention the exhaust is a bit loose on the bottom of the vehicle allowing it to create a mild rattling noise. I hope to capture this in the video to show its full extent. It is not horrible by any means.

The bare rims shown in the pics is not how you will receive the vehicle. I just realized I didn't take the pics with the new hubcaps on them. I bought some to spruce it up a bit and they will be sold on the vehicle. Check back for updated pics.

Ford to reveal Vignale sub-brand with special Mondeo in Frankfurt

Tue, 03 Sep 2013

Ford says that 10-15 percent of its customers in Europe want their cars to be set apart from regular Fords - even those wearing the top Titanium X trim - and the Blue Oval will answer them with the Vignale sub-brand. The new brand proposes a more upscale look and a much-improved dealership experience, Autocar reports. The Vignale Mondeo will debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show to kick off the new endeavor.
The first Ford to receive the Vignale treatment will be the 2015 Mondeo, a Euro-only model, followed by the new S-Max and Edge. The Vignale Mondeo is set apart visually from other Mondeos by a chrome grille and chrome door handles and mirror caps. Mondeo badging will be deleted - only Vignale badging will make an appearance.
The interior will get a more upscale flavor, as well, with quilted leather seats and door trim and leather covering the instrument panel, center console and steering wheel. A Vignale-badged storage drawer will be installed in the trunk, and in-car Wi-Fi is available.

Ken Block hoons his Ford F-150 RaptorTrax on the slopes

Wed, 08 Oct 2014

Ken Block drives Fords. Hoons the heck out of 'em, actually. Mostly Fiestas, but also the occasional Focus or Mustang. But earlier this year, the Gymkhana guru revealed his baddest Ford yet: an F-150 SVT Raptor on tracks. And true to form, here he is putting it to the test in the latest video from Monster Energy and Hoonigan Racing.
Filmed at Baldface Lodge in Nelson, BC, the video pairs Block up with snowboarders Zak Hale and Ethan Deiss for some deep-powder action. You'll want to watch the video for yourself, but the bottom line is that the RaptorTrax beats the heck out of waiting on line for the ski lift. It's enough to make us start to look forward to winter... almost.

Top horsepower-per-dollar cars in 2017

Tue, Feb 17 2015

Bang for the buck. That quasi-scientific statistic is bandied about by motor heads everywhere from classrooms to barrooms, though the truth of the matter is that it's exceedingly complex to measure. A fair performance-per-dollar index would include something like cross-referencing MSRP (Manufacturers Suggested Retail Price) with point-to-point times on a track or driving route, which is obviously hard to do comprehensively. But, for the sheer joy of talking about cars and playing with a big spreadsheet, there's always the horsepower-per-dollar index, which is more straightforward, albeit hilariously flawed. There are vagaries even with this simple formula, of course: MSRP for vehicles can change at a moment's notice, to say nothing of the bottom-line shifting that happens with local deals or showroom negotiation. For this list we're running with the straight MSRP wherever possible, and as recently reported as we can get it. All the vehicles on this list are 2017 models, and all trims are reported where the lowest price and differing power levels intersect. Some choices were made for personal preference and some for sanity, avoiding things like all 48 trim levels of the Ford Transit, all with the same horsepower). If this list were a simple top ten, or even a top fifty, you'd be bored to tears with all the red, white and blue that is represented. Following perfectly with conventional wisdom, American cars really do lead the world where hp/$ is concerned. So, for the sake of variety (and the sheer joy of seeing a minivan 'win' one round of this thing) I've sorted out some top five and bottom five lists for broad power categories. Let's dive in. Less Than 100 Horsepower Okay, okay, this is hardly a category we'll grant you. But we've often tried to click off all the sub-100-hp cars on sale in the US, and making this list gave us an excuse. It also illustrates that none of these smallish vehicles bring cheap horsepower to the table - for that you'll need a motorcycle. The segment-leading Chevy Spark (above) asks just over $139 for each hp, and that Smart Fortwo Electric Drive has hp on sale for about the same price as its very distant family cousin, the Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG (insert your favorite Smart joke here... we know you want to).
