1953 1954 Rat Rod Kustom Bomb Driver Lowered ***no Reserve** on 2040-cars
Saint Louis, Missouri, United States
Here is your chance to have a kool cruiser without breaking the bank. This is a 1954 Ford that was bought from a dealer in late 53 and so back then some states required dealers to title the vehicle in the year that it was purchased. That being said to clear up why the title says 53 but it is clearly a 54. I recently acquired this car from a old man that needed to sell off his collection. He told me the car was restored in the early 80's but recently to sell it they made a bunch of improvements including new gas tank, new brake lines, shoes, wheel cylinders, new master cylinder, fuel pump, thermostat, fan belt, radiator hoses, battery and NOS taillight lenses. Radio was sent off and restored to factory specs but was not hooked all back up. The car has the 223 with a 3 speed and overdrive. I have drove the car about 100 miles since I bought it and it goes down the highway great keeping right up with traffic. The things I have found that it needs are all little things like the overdrive needs a new switch to get it working, The speedometer needs a cable. The temp gauge is not working but looks like the gas gauge is. The for the starter is bad (I have been just jumping across it) starts every time and I did find a new one under the seat I just have not put it on. Car has 3" lowering blocks on the back to give it that tail dragger stance. Trunk and floors have been patched. The reason I am selling it is to finish my F100 and the bike I am building. My loss on this fun little car is your gain. Forgot to mention the spring is broke on the main hood latch. Easy fix. May be a extra in the trunk with several other extra parts.

Ford will keep Escape and MKC plant open an extra week to meet demand
Thu, Jun 8 2017Crossovers keep selling like popular pastries, and for Ford, that means it needs to keep production going. The company announced that, rather than the usual two-week shutdown, its Louisville, Ky., assembly plant will be open for one of those weeks. The plant builds the Ford Escape and Lincoln MKC, which Ford reports have had record sales. According to Ford, Escape sales through May are up 3 percent, and MKC sales are up 10 percent compared with last year. In total, the Escape has sold about 130,000 units through May, and the MKC has sold around 11,000. Keeping the Louisville plant open will allow the company to build an additional 8,500 vehicles. Ford stated that all other assembly plants will continue with the two-week shutdown as scheduled. Watch Tanner Foust hustle the Fiesta ST 'round the 'Ring
Mon, 15 Jul 2013The last time we saw Tanner Foust at the Nürburgring he was sloshing an SVT Raptor from kerb to kerb. Sticking with Ford but swapping keys, this time the drift champion and Top Gear USA host goes to the opposite end of the manufacturer's tuner garage and plucks a Fiesta ST for 'Ring duty.
The 179-horsepower front-wheel-driver acquits itself well by the end of the video. But be warned, Foust doesn't set a 'Ring time and it's shot like a commercial... because that's what it is. Still, you can enjoy all two minutes and 31 seconds of it below.
Hennessey unleashes 2015 HPE700 supercharged Ford Mustang
Sun, 05 Oct 2014Thanks to the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat there is a new magic number in the muscle car world - 707. To raise eyebrows these days in the power war, a vehicle needs to match or preferably exceed that palindromic figure. The tuners over at Hennessey took a look at it for their 2015 HPE700 Mustang and decided to go one better. Well, ten actually, because they bestowed their latest creation with 717 horsepower and 632 pound-feet of torque.
The HPE 700 Mustang takes the standard Mustang GT with its 5.0-liter V8 and turns up the power a few hundred notches with a Roots-type supercharger running at 7.25 psi. Hennessey claims that this boosted 'Stang can rocket to 60 miles per hour in about 3.6 seconds and cover the quarter-mile in 11.2 seconds at 131 mph. For those keeping score at home, those figures are very similar to Challenger Hellcat.
To cope with all of the added boost, the engine gets a high-flow throttle body, upgraded injectors, new fuel pump, stainless steel exhaust and Hennessey's calibration for the engine management. Pricing for the package is $59,500, including the base 2015 Mustang GT, but the company is limiting production to 500 units for the 2015 model year. Founder John Hennessey told Autoblog that he has already received about a dozen orders for them.
