Despite a few very minor cosmetic issues, this is a really nice car for it's age. Lots of options like the power windows and locks with alarm and remote. The SE Sport package cars handle sharp with the alloy wheels and wider tires. The Duratec 2.5L V6 is great on gas and still has 170HP to keep you interested :) Power drivers seat. COLD Air Conditioning and HOT heater. AM/FM/CD works fine. Cruise control. Intermittent wipers with adjustable delay. All the lights work. Doesn't do anything it shouldn't. No overheating, no warning lights, and won't leave you stranded. Recently tuned up. Would be a perfect first car, a commuter car, delivery vehicle, or just a fun car to rip around in. I have three cars and two motorcylces this one has to go :( Hopefully to a nice home. Title has lien listed on it but will be removed immediately. Usually takes two days to remove the lien. I work for the lien holder at his car lot and can provide the title number to verify with the County Clerk that the lien is removed. Ford making Fusion production moves to challenge Camry on volume
Mon, 26 Aug 2013The Ford Fusion may already beat the Toyota Camry in terms of models offered, transaction price and sales increase so far this year, but if the Fusion wants to make a run at the title of best-selling car in the US, Bloomberg reminds us that volume is key. Opening a second production line at the Flat Rock, MI assembly plant will reportedly allow Ford to produce around 350,000 Fusions annually, which compares Toyota's ability to crank out 475,000 Camrys and Honda's capacity to build around 450,000 Accords.
For the Fusion, that's an extra 100,000 units compared to the car's current pace, and the article adds that the Fusion is "Ford's best shot" to regain the passenger car sales crown - a title it (or any other US automaker, for that matter) hasn't held since the mid-1990s. Despite hiccups with recalls and fuel economy numbers, the Ford Fusion is still red hot when it comes to sales. Fusion sales are up 13 percent so far this year (compared to a 0.6 percent decrease for Camry), and its average transaction price of $26,343 is about $2,300 more than its rival from Toyota.
The Fusion's popularity has helped Ford improve its sales in California; the Dearborn-based automaker has a market share of 18 percent in the state, which is just a fraction of a percentage behind Honda. And this popularity should continue as Ford ups Fusion production and expands the model lineup even further for 2014 with a new 1.5-liter EcoBoost engine soon to become an option.

NHTSA investigating Ford Fiesta for faulty door latches
Mon, 15 Sep 2014The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has opened a preliminary investigation on the 2011-2013 Ford Fiesta because the regulator has received 61 complaints from drivers, including one claim of an injury, about the doors on the subcompacts failing to latch and sometimes even flying open while driving. NHTSA has estimated that the problem could affect as many as 205,000 vehicles.
NHTSA is still gathering further data about the problem, but looking at the complaints so far, both front and rear doors appear to be potentially involved with the alleged failures. Among the reports, there are 12 claiming that the door opened while driving. Several also indicate the "Door Ajar" warning illuminating during this problem. The one purported injury happened when someone attempted to shut the door, and it bounced back.
