Up for sale is my 2000 SVT Contour Black with Tan interior. 2.5l DOHC with just over 77k miles. Only mods are Koni adjustable struts and H&R springs all the way around and a poly rear roll resistor. Clean NC title, no accidents.

Ive had 6 of these SVT Contours, this one being the lowest mileage one that ive had, but its far from the nicest of the ones ive had. It was neglected badly before i bought it. I bought it to save it from sitting... But it still needs some TLC to be a good DD. I just no longer have the time, as my job has me commuting over 4hrs a day. And if im going to come home and work on something its going to be my foxbody mustang im trying to finish.

Black paint is in decent shape. No fading, it shines up very nice. Does have its share of scratches and dings.
Interior is very nice minus the dash warp. I have the ford recall kit, just needs to be installed. Honestly if i were to keep it i would probably just swap another dash in it and be done. Also does not have the SVT floor mats. Has an aftermarket headunit.
Koni adj struts/shocks with H&R lowering springs.
Engine runs good, has been very reliable. No check engine lights. Could use plugs and wires...
Clutch has been recently changed for an OEM replacement. Transmission shifts great, except from time to time in first gear it doesnt want to go in but its mostly getting use to how to shift it. Looks like the shifter bushings are worn out and ive picked up replacement bushings that just need to be swapped in.
Auto radio antenna works up and down. Heat and A/C work

NEEDS:

E-Brake Cables are stretched and the e-brake doesnt engage, common problem on these cars.
Dash warp fixed
Shift cable bushings replaced
Scratch on rear PS quarter
Alignment- drives fine, steering wheel is a little off, but not by much
Sunroof motor/cover

Im very anal and picky about my cars, so im just trying to list everything. I understand some of these issues could be a deal breaker to some. I can work out something with fixing these issues for the right price. Just trying to give someone a good deal who can see what this car is with a little work.

Ford S-Max Concept proves minivans aren't always minivans [w/video]

Tue, 10 Sep 2013

Ford's latest don't-call-it-a-minivan is called the S-Max Concept, and it's a looker. As you can see, the conceptual overgrown hatch makes good use of Ford's latest design language, especially at the very front of the S-Max, which bears a striking resemblance to production models that include the Focus, C-Max and Fusion.
Powering the S-Max Concept is a 1.5-liter EcoBoost engine, and while Ford doesn't actually list power figures for the concept, previous estimates put the mill at 133 kW of power (about 178 horsepower) and 240 Nm of torque (about 177 pound-feet). Inside, there's room for seven passengers and at least some of their luggage.
As you'd expect, the S-Max is loaded up with all of Ford's latest infotainment technology, including Sync and MyFordTouch. More interestingly, there are also onboard heart and blood glucose monitors that we doubt will be seeing the light of production anytime soon. On that topic, don't expect to see any S-Max-shaped vehicles hitting the US market from Ford, either. Scroll down below for the press release, but not before checking out the high-res image gallery above.

Ford F-150 Tremor to pace NASCAR Truck Series this weekend

Wed, 14 Aug 2013

Ford's bro-tastic F-150 Tremor will be pacing this weekend's NASCAR Camping World Truck Series at Michigan International Speedway. The Tremor fills a gap in the Ford F-Series lineup that we imagine the NASCAR set have clamored for - a hot-rod pickup truck.
Where the F-150 Raptor is designed to go quick on anything, the Tremor and its 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 are designed to tackle the road. The 365-horsepower and 420-pound-foot EcoBoost is unchanged from the rest of the F-150 line, but it combines the shortest drive ratio with the lightest two-door body, making it a bit of hot rod.
Ford will be offering hot laps with Michigan native Brad Keselowski behind the wheel of the Tremor for fans that arrive in the Irish Hills on August 14. The main showing for the new pickup will be the August 17 race, though, when it'll lead the field at the start of the race and through cautions.

Ford will build Hackmobile out of Transit Connect Wagon

Fri, 27 Dec 2013

What you see in the above image is a rendering of the Hackmobile Transit Connect Wagon. What is that? It's a "mobile fabrication and hacking unit" that includes tools for metal- and woodworking, 3D and electronics fabrication, a three-axis CNC machine called "The Fabber," a video projector and screen, an air compressor, an 84x48-inch work surface that folds out like a Murphy bed and oh so much more. When not in use, all of the implements fold neatly into the back of Ford's award-winning van.
But perhaps the more important question is why is that? Because Make Magazine held an Ultimate Maker Vehicle Challenge in conjunction with Ford in which ten teams created were charged with creating "the ultimate Ford Transit Connect Wagon for the do-it-yourself enthusiast." Team Twin Cities Maker won the competition with the Hackmobile, and in addition to winning $10,000, Ford has declared it's actually going to build the thing - which is great, because if they can actually engineer a road-legal Hackmobile Transit Connect Wagon as envisioned, the inevitable A-Team movie reboot might need to think about including it.
Check out the video below for a cheeky walk-through of the Hackmobile, and get all the particulars in the press release below that.
