Gorgeous blue 70s machine with low reserve!
Just finished doing a 6 month long paint/body/interior/exterior restoration
Rebuilt 302 V8 Engine with approximately 20,000 miles - runs strong. Dual
exhaust. Electronic ignition. Four barrel Edelbrock carburetor with 4
barrel intake.
The engine sounds & runs
great, plus it has just a slight performance lope at idle
The engine does not smoke.
New battery this month
Power Steering
3 Speed transmission with Hurst floor shifter upgrade. Fun to drive. Trans
feels good thru all gears
Dana 44 Front Axle and Dana 20 Transfer Case, 9” Rear axle
Axle gear ratio decodes to the optional and desirable 4.11 Limited Slip
Suspension lift approx 2.5”
New paint
New interior
The gauges work
lights & signals work
Doors close well
glass not cracked, side windows roll up and down
Wipers ok (reinstalled since photos)
Current odometer reading is in the 20,000 range. I assume this to be
120,000 miles but again, it is a 1972 so... just an assumption. The
mileage on the restoration work is what is listed above, 0 at time of
photos.
The body on this gleaming 70s beauty was just redone with a gorgeous clear
coated finish with PPGs Bay Roc Blue Poly, a correct color for Ford
Broncos from 1972. The paint has been color sanded and buffed
It was totally disassembled for paint, ie: The grill was pulled off, all
lamps removed, fenders pulled off, doors removed, all door glass,
hardtop, tailgate removed, hood removed, etc. Body was stripped to metal.
The front fenders showed some age so they were both replaced new with
quality OEM style steel ones from Toms Bronco Parts. Rocker panels were
replaced, inner and outer. Front floors replaced. This work was all
performed by a competent body shop and was NOT a cheap job. It was done
in base coat clearcoat 2 stage urethane (2:1 ratio urethane clear), and
then color sanded and buffed to the glossy finish that you see in the
photos. The body is straight. The dash was painted at the same time,
along with the interior door jambs and doors inside. There is a spare
tire carrier, painted in the same shade of blue. Hood was pulled off of
the vehicle and painted separately, as were spare tire carrier, tailgate,
and license plate bracket. Grill painted in argent. The floors and inside
of tailgate were sprayed with a black spray on bed liner throughout.
Engine compartment painted in black. (Note: Some pictures were taken
before the wing/vent windows were correctly installed as they are now).
Full steel factory hardtop available with new white paint.
New hardtop weatherstrip and door weatherstrip also included.
Interior upholstery all new. Front bucket seats (original bronco buckets)
were rebuilt with repainted seat frames (in black) with new foam and all
new parchment covers. Seat centers were done in a textured material
similar to original Ford Bronco seats. Front door panels were made new to
match. Rear bench seat (original) was reupholstered with armrests in the
same quality material.
New chrome bumper. Chrome headlight rings, chrome grill letters with
custom painted red centers. New signal lenses.
Drivers side mirror new chrome, with additional passenger side chrome
mirror installed.
This has been a fun truck for me, picked up my Christmas tree in it and
I’m gonna miss it. Just in time for you to enjoy it for summer.

Autoblog's guilty pleasure cars
Tue, Mar 10 2015Guilty pleasures are part of life – don't even try to pretend like you don't have one (or two, or six). In the non-automotive space, this could come down to that secret playlist in your iPhone of songs you'll only listen to when you're alone; or think of that one TV show you really do love, but won't admit to your friends. I've got plenty, and so do you. Going back to cars, here's a particularly juicy one for me: several years ago, I had a mad crush on the very last iteration of the Cadillac DTS. Oh yes, the front-wheel-drive, Northstar V8-powered sofa-on-wheels that was the last remaining shred of the elderly-swooning days of Cadillac's past. Every time I had the chance to drive one, I was secretly giddy. Don't hate me, okay? These days, the DTS is gone, but I've still got a mess of other cars that hold a special place in my heart. And in the spirit of camaraderie, I've asked my other Autoblog editors to tell me some of their guilty pleasure cars, as well – Seyth Miersma, as you can see above, has a few choice emotions to share about the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution. Read on to find out what cars make us secretly happy. Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG This decadent convertible is the epitome of the guilty pleasure. It's big, powerful, fairly heavy and it's richly appointed inside and out. It's a chocolate eclair with the three-pointed star on the hood. Given my druthers, I'd take the SL65 AMG, which delivers 621 horsepower and 738 pound-feet of torque. That output is borderline absurd for this laid-back convertible. I don't care. You don't need dessert. Sometimes you just crave it. The SL line is about the feel you get on the road. The roof is open. The air, sun and engine sounds all embrace you. It's the same dynamic you could have experienced in a Mercedes a century ago, yet the SL gives you the most modern of luxuries. An Airscarf feature that warms my neck and shoulders through a vent embedded in the seat? Yes, please. Sure, it's an old-guy car. Mr. Burns and Lord Grantham are probably too young and hip for an SL65. I don't care. This is my guilty pleasure. Release the hounds. – Greg Migliore Senior Editor Ford Flex I drove my first Flex in 2009 when my mother let me borrow hers for the summer while I was away at college. The incredibly spacious interior made moving twice that summer a breeze, and the 200-mile trips up north were quite comfortable.
2015 Roush Mustang lineup officially revealed
Thu, 02 Oct 2014
Just last week, Saleen revealed initial details of its tuning program for the new Ford Mustang. And now Roush is following suit.
Available in three stages - based on the V6 (RS), EcoBoost (RS1) and V8 (RS2) models - the 2015 Roush Mustangs all feature the venerable Ford tuner's latest R7 aero kit complete with remodeled fascia, five-blade grille, gaping air dam with integrated driving lamps and splitter. Around back there's a one-piece deck spoiler and "race-inspired lower aero-valance."
Ford EcoBoost smashes records at Daytona
Thu, 10 Oct 2013Some mighty machines have lapped the banks of the Daytona International Speedway over the years: thunderous V8-powered stock cars, Le Mans-conquering Group C prototypes, open-wheel Champ Cars, knee-dragging superbikes... heck, the infield lake has even hosted powerboat racing. But this - this is the fastest car ever to lap the legendary raceway.
What you're looking at is the new Daytona Prototype being prepared by Riley Technologies for the new United SportsCar Championship. The car, released just last week, is powered by a new 3.5-liter turbocharged V6 from Ford's EcoBoost family, and just obliterated the top speed at the track with a blistering 222.971 miles per hour through the traps.
That's enough to annihilate the previous record that was set, also under Ford power, by Bill Elliott while placing his Thunderbird on pole for the 1987 Daytona 500 that he would go on to win. His 210.364 mph record had stood for 26 years until now.
