AWESOME MONSTER BRONCO

A HEAD TURNER

Up for sale is my 1988 Bronco.  This will turn heads anywhere you go.

  • 4x4
  • Automatic Transmission
  • 5.8 - 351 Windsor
  • AM/FM Tape Deck
  • Extremely Nice Tan Interior
  • Electric Windows, Locks - all work (even the back window)
  • Removable top (there are absolutely no leaks on the top...I have never had it off though)
  • Hood Scoop (cosmetic only)
  • Heat, no air
  • Good 33" BFG tires on custom rims
  • Aftermarket Exhaust

My truck (tagged and titled in my name) looks, runs and drives great and I have had no trouble with it (weekend driver).  To protect myself I am listing this as AS-IS.  Though you are more than welcome to send a mechanic out to test drive and check everything out before the end of the Auction.  If I had to find something negative I would say that it does use about a quart a month and the paint is fading.  The only rust spots are a little bit at the bottom of the back door.

Please note:   This is for sale locally for more than the starting bid.  I may end the auction early is sold.  however, I will not end the auction if there is an opening bid.  I would require a $500 non-refundable deposit with 48 hours of auction close.  The truck needs to be paid for and picked up within 7 days of the auction close.  Again, feel free to message me and schedule a time for you or your mechanic to come take a look.

I have other items up for auction as well.  Thank you

Watch this lead sled go rallying in Finland

Thu, 19 Jun 2014

Custom cars generally fit into neat little boxes in terms of how they are used. For example, you're unlikely to see a modded Corvette going rock crawling; it's just not what it's made for (though we bet it'd look awesome, for a minute). In the same way, chopped, channeled and customized '50s hot rods aren't really meant to go racing. They look great and go fast, but they are generally more cruisers than sports cars.
However, if this video is any indication, the people of Finland don't adhere in these stereotypes, because this rodder is happy to play in the dirt with his lead sled.
According to the video, the driver is a member of the Ford-Freak Club of Finland, and he clearly knows how to have some fun. Possibly inspired by his country's great rally drivers, he gets the tail way out going around this gently curving gravel track. The stunt is somewhat reminiscent of the stock cars races on the sand at Daytona Beach, and this is probably close to what it sounded like too. Scroll down to watch a very cool Finn getting his hot rod a little dirty.

Marchionne open to combination with Ford or GM

Fri, Mar 13 2015

At the depths of the auto industry implosion, there was widely reported talk that General Motors and Chrysler would be merged into a mighty import-beating behemoth. While such notions clearly never materialized, that doesn't mean the idea is dead. In fact, FCA boss Sergio Marchionne still welcomes the idea of a partnership with either GM or Ford. He responded positively to the idea, calling it "technically feasible," when asked about it at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, Automotive News reports. "There's bantering that goes on all the time," Marchionne told AN, before quashing suspicions that a plan was in the works by adding that "nothing substantive" was going on. Our favorite black sweater enthusiast isn't quite as interested in the idea of teaming with a foreign manufacturer like PSA Peugeot Citroen, or in the rumored tie-up with Volkswagen, though. That is a shame, particularly in regards to Marchionne's shut down of a partnership with the French, although it isn't necessarily surprising – FCA already consists of eight automakers, and as Sergio told AN, there's really nothing at PSA that could help the company out. What are your thoughts? Is there an obvious project or segment that would benefit from an FCA partnership with Ford or GM? Have your say in Comments. Popular Science has named the winners in its Best of What's New awards, the victors coming in the categories of aerospace, automotive, engineering, entertainment, gadgets, green, hardware, health, home, recreation, security and software. The automotive category did not go wanting for lauded advancements:
Tesla Model S: the Grand Award winner for being "the standard by which all future electric vehicles will be measured."
BMW 328i: it's 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder gets called out for being more powerful and frugal than the six-cylinder it replaces.
