Early Ford Bronco on 2040-cars

This is a 1974 early Ford Bronco. It is full of rust and in desperate need of a rebuild :-) I simply do not have the time. What I've done to it so far is rebuild the four-wheel-drive hubs put good rims and tires on it, tune it up with new spark plugs and wires, new battery, alternator, air filter, oil change and filter, carburetor rebuild, and new brakes. This Bronco still has the drum brakes. It has two gas tanks but I've only used one, the indicators on the dash do not work. It does have Monroe shocks that do work, and a PTO Drive that operates a wench, plow, and log splitter that comes with this auction. The log splitter is very unique, it attaches where the plow goes, it needs new hydraulic hoses. The four wheel drive works and the frame is in pretty good condition. It needs new door posts, floor panels, and a crapload of bodywork. Although, the top and the hood are in pretty good condition. It has the straight 6 179 cubic inch engine. It has no power but plenty of torque. As you can see from the pictures it is 3 speed on the floor. It gets driven once a week for half an hour. I am willing to deliver it within a reasonable distance. But you will probably want to come look it over and drive it for yourself. Good luck, thanks for looking. Ford Fusion production scaled back just 3 months after it was accelerated
Mon, 02 Dec 2013Three months after kicking off production of the Ford Fusion at its Flat Rock, MI factory, Ford Motor Company is taking steps to trim output in the face of heavily discounted competition from Toyota and a growing supply of vehicles.
The addition of Fusion production in Flat Rock - which also builds the Mustang - was meant to be what pushed the handsome mid-sizer past its arch-nemesis, the Toyota Camry. An extra facility building Fusions was also meant to curb the growing demand for Ford's highly profitable sedan.
But with word that Flat Rock would take "approximately" one extra week off for the holidays combined with an 88-day supply of Fusions - reportedly due in no small part to what Morgan Stanley analyst Adam Jonas called "aggressive discounting of the Camry" - some analysts are now beginning to wonder if Ford may have overextended itself by adding a second Fusion facility to the mix.
New UAW boss Williams talks tough, vows 'no more concessions'
Sun, 08 Jun 2014Dennis Williams, the newly elected president of the UAW, had some tough words for American automakers in his inauguration speech at the 2014 UAW Convention, striking down the possibility of any additional concessions from the 400,000-strong union.
"No more concessions. We are tired of it. Enough is enough," Williams said during his speech. UAW employees have not received a raise in nearly 10 years, according to Reuters.
Considering the recent strong results for Ford, Chrysler and General Motors, the union's demands are likely to carry a bit more weight in next year's negotiations. And considering Williams' tough stance, we could be in for some fireworks once negotiations commence.
2014 Ford Fiesta 1.0L EcoBoost to hit 45 mpg for $16,445*
Mon, 28 Oct 2013When Ford first announced its plan to put the 1.0-liter EcoBoost three-cylinder engine under the hood of the 2014 Fiesta, it promised hybrid-like fuel economy without a hybrid-like premium. We're still waiting for official specs on this engine, but thanks to the EPA's fueleconomy.gov website and Ford's retail site, we now know what customers can expect in terms of both fuel economy and price.
All along, Ford has said that it expects the 1.0-liter EcoBoost to get more than 40 miles per gallon on the highway, and now the EPA backs this up with official ratings of 32 mpg in the city and 45 mpg on the highway. These numbers are an increase of two mpg city and four mpg hwy compared to the current fuel-sipping Fiesta (the 1.6 SFE), and it also beats other three-cylinder cars for highway mileage like the 2014 Mitsubishi Mirage (44 mpg highway) and 2014 Smart Fortwo (38 mpg highway); the Fiesta 1.0 EcoBoost is lower than both three-pot rivals, though, in city fuel economy with the Mitsubishi getting 37 mpg city and the Smart rated at 34 mpg city. This model handily beats high-volume small cars like the Honda Fit, Toyota Yaris and Chevy Spark in both city and highway numbers.
As for pricing, the 1.0-liter EcoBoost is offered on both the sedan and hatchback as a $995 option called the SE Manual EcoBoost package, which is aptly named since it's only offered on SE trim-level Fiestas equipped with a manual transmission. Along with the engine, the package also comes with 15-inch steel wheels, regenerative brakes and a decklid spoiler on the sedan. This means the four-door Fiesta 1.0 EcoBoost will start at $16,445*, or $17,045* for the hatchback (*not including $795 for destination).
