1971 Early Bronco
302 V8 backed by a C4 automatic transmission

This bronco was completely rebuilt in the past 6 months. It has a ton of money in parts and labor. I'm looking to sell due to losing interest and not having enough time to complete the last 5%

It has the following items:

Dana 44 front axle, Detroit locker, Premium lockout hubs, chromolly shafts, 4.56 gears, power disk brakes

Ford 9" rear axle, Detroit locker, chromolly axle shafts, 4.56 gears

James Duff 5.5" progressive rate spring suspension lift with long arms, 3" body lift, dual shocks front and rear

1.5" DOM crossover power steering w/steering stabilizer

6 point roll cage tied to the frame

Rebuilt 302 w/flat top pistons, mild cam, electronic ignition, holley 600 carb, MSD wires, new dual exhaust with flowmaster 40 mufflers and chrome tips

All new Centech wiring harness with updated blade type fuses

New long travel driveshafts front and rear

It has had a body off restoration. There is absolutely 0 rust on the bronco. I have replaced the floorpans, rockers, quarter panels with NOS parts. The frame was sandblasted and painted with POR 15 w/TopKote. The body was sandblasted, epoxy primed, and painted with Copper Pearl Barrett Jackson paint with 3 coats of clear. The paint and body work is decent, but does have some areas to touchup (its new paint, but was painted in a home made garage paint booth) I'd say it is an 8 out of 10.

The interior had new racing seats, lockable console, aluminum dash, Lokar transmission shifter, twin stick transfer case shifters, new rear fold and tumble rear seat, CD player with speakers in Centrapod.

The interior has Raptor Spray liner on the floor and sides, it has all new gaskets, seals, light lenses, gauges, etc..

There are Protofab bumper front and rear with a new 10,500# winch with synthetic line and hawse fairlead

The tires are 37" boggers (80% tread remaining) on black steel wheels.

The items to finish are:
-paint the doors and install correctly ( I have all new seals, knobs, panels, felt, etc.)
-The wiring is installed for a wiper motor and wipers, but do not have either items
- Install a speedometer(wiring and cable there, just need to buy speedo and hookup)
 - Line up panels (installed, but didn't take time to line them up)
- hookup gas guage
- Hookup auxillary gas tank ( I have it, just need to hookup lines)

This bronco would be a very nice classic vehicle worth a lot more if someone has the will to finish (literally a weekend's worth of time). Everything listed above is brand new within the past 6 months and has less then 100 miles total.

Please message for more pics or questions.

Man chases down truck thief and steams it all on Facebook

Thu, Oct 13 2016

A Washington man chased down a truck stolen from his family's dealership last Saturday and livestreamed the event on Facebook. According to KOMO, a 2005 Ford F-250 was stolen from Sunrise Auto Sales in Eatonville, Washington on the morning of October 8. Aaron Babcock, who co-owns the small dealership with his father David, told reporters that after reviewing surveillance footage, he later spotted the truck while riding his motorcycle on Webster Road East. "I watched my cameras and found the video of a man lurking around and ending up taking off with my truck," Babcock told KOMO. "Cops came and made a case. Three hours later I was on my motorcycle in Graham, and they drove by me oncoming. It still had dealer stickers on it. It said diesel on the window and it had our dealer plate on it. It stuck out like a sore thumb. It was really easy to see." Once he spotted the stolen Super Duty, he wheeled his bike around and gave chase. He attempted to call 911, but was unsure if the dispatcher heard him due to noise from the wind and the bike's engine. So he fired up Facebook live and started streaming his chase, giving running commentary and updating his location as he chased the slow-moving truck. "I wasn't going to let him get away. I was going to try follow him down. I had no idea what to do," Babcock said. "Nobody could hear me on the phone so I just figured the first thing to do is pull up Facebook live." Babcock's Facebook friends pitched in by calling 911 to report the chase and even jumping in their own cars to follow the truck. At one point, he pulled alongside the truck and recognized both men in the cab. The driver was the man seen lurking around the dealer lot in the surveillance video, and the passenger was an old friend of Babcock's. "I know who you are!" he shouted at them, but the hunkered down and kept driving. Eventually, Babcock lost cell phone signal and the livestream ended. Eatonville police, who by this point were well aware of the incident, caught up with the truck in the 8400 block of 356th Street South in Eatonville. The driver was arrested and the passenger was questioned and released. Both denied stealing the vehicle or knowing it was stolen. Two sets of keys from Sunrise Auto Sales and a stolen credit card were also recovered from the truck. Related Video

How Ford plans to handle insurance and repair questions surrounding new aluminum-bodied F-150

Tue, 21 Jan 2014

Building a car out of aluminum has a number of benefits - the lighter weight allows the vehicle to be more agile, more fuel efficient, make better use of its power and be more resistant to dings and dents. The downside to the advanced construction, though, is that repairs are both challenging and expensive. That's troubling for the new, aluminum-bodied Ford F-150, because it's kind of made a name for itself as a rugged, durable work vehicle.
How will the legions of Ford buyers cope when it comes time to insure and repair their new trucks? Well, according to Ford, it's expecting a ten-percent jump in insurance costs for the aluminum-bodied F-150, although Ford's truck marketing manager, Doug Scott, was quick to point out that the F-150 is generally cheaper to insure than its competition from Ram and General Motors. "At the end of the day, that's sort of a wash," Scott told Automotive News at last week's Detroit Auto Show. "We've spent a lot of time and feel very comfortable that that's not going to be an inhibitor."
The other issue facing Ford is the distinct lack of body shops that have the training or equipment to repair aluminum-bodied vehicles. AN cites an estimate from the Automotive Service Association claiming that of the 30,000 independent body shops in the US, less than 10 percent are able to work on aluminum.

Ford Fusion production scaled back just 3 months after it was accelerated

Mon, 02 Dec 2013

Three months after kicking off production of the Ford Fusion at its Flat Rock, MI factory, Ford Motor Company is taking steps to trim output in the face of heavily discounted competition from Toyota and a growing supply of vehicles.
The addition of Fusion production in Flat Rock - which also builds the Mustang - was meant to be what pushed the handsome mid-sizer past its arch-nemesis, the Toyota Camry. An extra facility building Fusions was also meant to curb the growing demand for Ford's highly profitable sedan.
But with word that Flat Rock would take "approximately" one extra week off for the holidays combined with an 88-day supply of Fusions - reportedly due in no small part to what Morgan Stanley analyst Adam Jonas called "aggressive discounting of the Camry" - some analysts are now beginning to wonder if Ford may have overextended itself by adding a second Fusion facility to the mix.
