This is a classic Bronco that went through a restoration 3 years ago. It was rebuilt from the ground up. The body is a 75 body on a 77 frame. The 77 frame had power brakes and steering already all we did is rebuild them. The differentials are the typical 9 inch rear (big bearing) Dana 44 front. Both have new axles, gears, bearings.....total rebuild with 3.73 gears. Front disc rear drum power brakes with all new; stainless brake lines, brake shoes, brake pads, front rotors, rear drums and hardware. New Dana/Spicer drive shafts front and rear. Rebuilt dana 20 transfer case has twin stick shifters and a C-4 automatic transmission hooked up to a 5.0 roller cam carb'd engine with coated James Duff Headers, aluminum intake and serp belt setup. The engine has a mild cam and an edelbrock carb with K&N air filter.

This Bronco has power steering, power brakes, Vintage AIR AC and power drivers seat. The floors were all coated with a roll on bedliner then sound proofed and carpeted. The locking console has a headunit with Aux input for your iPhone, iPad or Droid music. The 4 channel amp under the back seat feeds 2 6x9 Polk Audio speakers in the back and 2 6" Kicker speakers in the doors.

The dash is custom made and the entire vehicle wiring harness was replaced. The vintage air AC feeds three vents in the dash or the defroster. The rest of the interior has a rollcage, KIA Sportage flip down seats in the back, S-10 seats in the front (drivers is 6 way power) three point seat belts in the front and lap belts in the back. The bumpers are custom and the rear holds a full size 33x12.50 15 spare on a Micky Thompson II 15x10 rim. This bronco was a daily driver for two years and runs solid. It has Stonecrusher Steering, 3.5" lift from Duff, all new springs, poly bushings and shocks all installed together. The body is solid with a fiberglass hood from Bronco Designs. It is not perfect but it can be driven any where.

There is a video at http://youtu.be/YmR_UUGTQck that shows off the Bronco pretty good. The bad is the 7 quart oil pan has a seeping leak not a major worry but I wanted to let you know. The AC needs a charge, one fender flare is cracked and the passenger door has a dent in it. Please look it over, check out the video, contact me with any questions before buying. This auction includes the highlift jack and custom cover with lock. Any inspections or additional picture requests gladly accepted.

It also has dual tanks with an electric change over valve.

BMW, Hyundai score big in JD Power's first Tech Experience Index

Mon, Oct 10 2016

While automakers are quick to brag about winning a JD Power Initial Quality Study award, the reality, as we've pointed out before, is that these ratings are somewhat misleading, since IQS doesn't necessarily distinguish genuine quality issues. JD Power's new Tech Experience Index aims to solve that problem. The new metric takes the same 90-day approach as IQS but focuses exclusively on technology – collision protection, comfort and convenience, driving assistance, entertainment and connectivity, navigation, and smartphone mirroring. It splits the industry up into just seven segments, based loosely on size, which is why the Chevrolet Camaro is in the same division (mid-size) as Kia Sorento and the Mercedes-Benz GLE-Class is in the same segment as the Hyundai Genesis (mid-size premium). It makes for some screwy bedfellows, to be sure. Still, splitting tech experience away from initial quality should allow customers to make more informed and intelligent decisions when buying new vehicles. In the inaugural study, respondents listed BMW and Hyundai as the big winners, with two segment awards – the 2 Series for small premium and the 4 Series for compact premium, and the Genesis for mid-size premium and Tucson for small segment. The Chevrolet Camaro (midsize), Kia Forte (compact), and Nissan Maxima (large) scored individual wins. Ford also had a surprising hit with the Lincoln MKC, which ranked third in the compact premium segment behind the 4 Series and Lexus IS. This is a coup for the Blue Oval, whose woeful MyFord Touch systems made the brand a victim of the IQS' flaws in the early 2010s. But Ford and other automakers might not want to celebrate just yet. According to JD Power, there's still a lot of room for improvement – navigation systems were the lowest-rated piece of tech in the study. Instead, customers repeatedly saluted collision-avoidance and safety systems, giving the category the best marks of the study and listing blind-spot monitoring and backup cameras as two must-have features – 96 percent of respondents said they wanted those two systems in their next vehicle. But this isn't really a surprise. Implementation of safety systems from brand to brand is similar, and they don't require any input from users, unlike navigation and infotainment systems which are frustratingly deep.

Ford recalls over 680,000 Ford Fusions, Mondeos, and Lincoln MKZs for seat belt pretensioners

Fri, Dec 2 2016

Update: We spoke with a Ford representative who said that owners will be notified by mail during the week of January 16 . Dealers will also have the fix available at the same time. Owners can bring in their vehicles to dealers for an evaluation in the mean time. The main text has been updated to reflect this. The Basics: Ford is recalling 680,872 2013-2016 Ford Fusions, 2015-2016 Ford Mondeos, and 2013-2015 Lincoln MKZ s for an issue with front driver-side and passenger-side seat belt pretensioners. The Problem: The seat-belt pretensioners did not have sufficient insulation applied. When the pretensioners are activated, the heat generated can cause the cables connected to the belts to separate, which in turn can prevent the seat belts from effectively restraining the occupant. This can lead to injuries. Injuries/Deaths: Ford reports two accidents and two injuries have occurred that are related to this recall. The fix: A dealer technician will inject an insulation coating around the pretensioner. This should effectively keep the heat away from the cables, ensuring the seat belt will properly restrain the user in a collision. If you own one: Affected owners will be notified by mail on the week of January 16. Dealers will have the fix available that week, and owners will be able to bring in their vehicles for the fix to be implemented free of charge. Related Video:

2015 Ford Mustang to make world debut on Dec. 5 [w/video]

Tue, 19 Nov 2013

Between a bevvy of spy shots, speculative renders and insidery images from the halls of Car and Driver, we've got a pretty decent idea of what the 2015 Ford Mustang might look like. Still, we're excited to see the real deal as soon as possible.
Turns out that Ford has told us just when that first official look might come, too, although it has chosen somewhat of a backdoor fashion for dropping the news.
The video below popped up on the Ford Mustang YouTube channel this morning, promoting a social media effort called #MustangInspires on. The video and hashtag ask fans of the pony car to share pictures of the car - or "photographic stories of inspiration" - on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, etc. But the truly interesting part of the video description is that which mentions taking "the cover off the all-new Mustang" on December 5. Consider our calendars marked.
