Barn Find 1976 Uncut Ford Bronco on 2040-cars
Enterprise, Alabama, United States
Relisting due to a non paying bidder. Please do not bid if you are not going to follow through. Very Rare Barn Find 1976 Ford Bronco. This Bronco was found in a barn several years ago and was gotten out and over $5000 spent on it to get it in driving condition. It has new tires to include the spare, a rebuilt transmission and new brakes all around and a new rear fuel tank and water pump. It has two gas tanks with the rear one being new. The exhaust system is new as well and the Bronco starts and runs great. It has however not been on the road for years and years. It does drive down the road great and the transmission shifts like new as it should. The interior is missing the headliner but the original door panels are there as well as the original seats and am radio. This hard to find Bronco is just waiting for a new owner. It has does have rust in the normal places. Specifically the drivers door post at the hinge area and also under the hood on both sides on top of the inner finders. There is body filler below the passenger door and the tailgate should be replaced. The floorpans seem to be in pretty good shape. The front grille has some dings in it and there is rust under the drivers door itself and a rust hole below the passengers door. This is a diamond in the rough and can be enjoyed like it is as a hunting vehicle or restored to be a show stopper. These old Broncos are getting harder and harder to find. It is rare to find one without the fenders being cut out. It has power steering and the brakes work well too. The top is in great shape and is worth 2500 alone. There does not appear to be any rust other than surface rust on the frame. It does need new rubber seals on the doors and windows. The drivers door hinge has been reworked and the door now shuts good. Everything is here. It just needs a new owner to either drive and enjoy it or take it to the next level. Don't miss out on this way cool Bronco. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to call me 334-393-8448.

Motor Trend pits Subaru WRX vs. Ford Focus ST
Thu, 23 Jan 2014The Ford Focus ST has enjoyed a relatively calm, if brief, reign in the world of hot hatches. With nothing else in the class (in the States, at least) but the aging Mazdaspeed3 and Subaru Impreza WRX and the slow-selling Volkswagen Golf R, the Blue Oval's 252-horsepower five door has been the go-to vehicle for those that don't need the high-octane lunacy (and expense) of the rally bred Subaru Impreza WRX STI and Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X.
Now, though, as the new Subaru WRX (it's not an Impreza anymore, though, neither is it a hatchback...) starts to arrive at dealers, the Focus ST appears to be under threat for the first time. Naturally, Motor Trend is here to figure out which one is the best, with another one of its Head 2 Head videos. Host Jonny Lieberman puts both cars through their paces, going above and beyond, quite literally, at the very end of the video.

Ford's Explorer-based Police Interceptor to get 365-hp EcoBoost option
Tue, 20 Aug 2013Speeders beware, the police are going to be getting quite a bit faster. Ford has just announced that it will be offering its 3.5-liter, twin-turbocharged, EcoBoost V6 in the Explorer Police Interceptor. The new engine will be joining the existing 3.7-liter V6. The 365-horsepower, 350-pound-foot mill should be familiar to consumers as the powerplant that's found in the Ford Taurus SHO (and its LEO equivalent, the Taurus Police Interceptor) and the Ford Explorer Sport. It should also provide quite a kick in the pants to officers used to the naturally aspirated 3.7 and its 304 ponies and 279 pound-feet of torque.
The move to the more potent powerplant was born out of all the equipment officers need to carry on a day-to-day basis. These days, there's so much stuff that police need on a regular basis, that there's a genuine market for a faster Police Interceptor Utility, as it's known officially. The Explorer-based cruiser has already accounted for 68 percent of Ford's LEO sales in 2013, and that's with just the 3.7, and we'd only expect that number to increase once the twin-turbo, 3.5-liter V6 is available. Ford won't offer up any indication of what the take rate will be on the new engine, but we're guessing it'll be fairly high.
The success of the Explorer PI couldn't have come at a better time for Ford. The decision to end Crown Victoria production was not a popular one with police, and combined with Chevrolet and Dodge diving into the LEO market feet first, Ford hasn't been performing as well as it's wanted to. The Explorer has been helping it turn around, though. And with the inclusion of the EcoBoost, Ford also has a legit competitor for the Chevrolet Tahoe on the big utility side of the police market.
2015 Ford Mustang GT Line-Lock Burnout
Mon, 03 Nov 2014In this brief Short Cut, Autoblog's Steven Ewing demonstrates Line-Lock on the 2015 Ford Mustang GT. Accessed through an on-screen performance menu, the feature temporarily locks the front brakes to help you heat up the rear tires for better traction, as you would for drag racing. The result? A 15-second smokescreen.
