Excellent vehicle for the money. Started on this last summer as my desert mobility vehicle- a lot of work went into this so far. 3 inch lift, new shocks, new brakes and rotors, stainless brake lines, new wheels and tires(including matching spare), all new underneath, all new rod ends, ball joints, u-joints, hardware, etc. New radiator and water pump. Real clean under hood. Engine in excellent shape. Interstate battery. Oil changed every 3000 miles- one owner-me. This was the last Bronco sold in North Carolina (Fayetteville, 1996). I've stripped out most the interior to replace carpeting, etc. No wrecks, no dings, few scratches. No rust. All glass intact.

Rear end has small leak at input bearing seal- gears in excellent shape. Drives like a buckboard because of real stiff springs. Steering is easy for a 4-wheel drive. Mechanical lockers replace electronic ones. Towing package professionally installed. Any questions please feel free to ask. I'm not hiding anything. Need a fast sell to finish my kitchen.

This vehicle has never missed an inspection or registration since I've owned it. Hate to let it go. Would make a great project vehicle for a 4-wheeler.

Ford vandalizes the SEMA Show floor with 2014 Transit Connect

The Ford booth here at SEMA is practically a 1970s throwback with all these customized vans sitting front and center. And we're completely fine with that. Take the black and yellow (black and yellow, black and yellow) 2014 Transit Connect from Mobsteel above. It's got a great stance, sits on steel wheels and has a pretty cool paint job and graphics package to boot.

Ford Explorer, Expedition next to go aluminum?

Ford made some serious waves when it unveiled the latest F-150. Instead of making its bodywork out of steel, like just about every other truck on the market, Ford went with aluminum. And you can bet the F-150 won't be the last Ford model to go with the lightweight alloy construction, either.
Our compatriots at Edmunds report that Dearborn is considering replacing two of its most popular SUVs with aluminum versions. One candidate is the Expedition, which would make sense considering that the current model (like the two preceding generations and the fullsize Bronco before it) is based on the F-150's underpinnings. Another is the Explorer, which was traditionally based on the Ranger pickup but went with a car-like unibody chassis in its current iteration. If the Explorer does go the way of aluminum, don't expect it to be a part of its very next update, which is likely due too soon for such major changes.
It would stand to reason that, if the Expedition were to go aluminum, so would the next-generation Lincoln Navigator. Ditto the MKT together with the Explorer. But those aren't likely to be the only models in contention for aluminum construction. Like any other automaker, Ford is under pressure to steadily reduce its carbon emissions and improve its fuel economy figures, prompting it to look at a whole range of measures - including more efficient engines, lower rolling-resistance tires, active aerodynamics and lightweight construction. Expect aluminum to play a big part in that equation moving forward.

Ford Mustang challenges Lamborghini in amazing drift battle

Engines scream and tires billow with smoke as Vaughn Gittin Jr. and Daigo Saito stage a drift battle through an abandoned Japanese resort that looks like a Russian village in this stunning clip. The high-performance ballet of these amazing machines sliding around makes this one of the best videos of the year. To fight this duel, Gittin straps into his 550-horsepower Ford Mustang, and Saito meets the pony car's challenge with a drift-prepped Lamborghini Murcielago. The drivers hit a curving road and show expert car control as the men slide these very different vehicles just inches from each other. Eventually, night descends, and they add some fire to the scene to give the stunts a more apocalyptic look. The production values for this short clip are phenomenal, and the editing makes the viewer feel right in the middle of the action.
