1996 Ford Bronco on 2040-cars
Albuquerque, New Mexico, United States
For sale is my 1996 Ford Bronco. I bought this truck from the original owner years ago. I installed a 6" Superlift kit with the Extended Radius arms. This kit alone was more than $3,000 not including labor. I had it installed by Southwest 4x4 here in Albuquerque. I also had them change the gears to 4:11's front and rear for more get up and go, and 35" Dick Cepek "Fun Country" tires (I trimmed the bumper myself with a sawsall and I've yet to have anybody see it and not think it's a factory bumper. I also had TRUE dual exhaust installed by a local exhaust shop. The truck haS 97K miles on it and the 5.0 multiport injected Mustang V8 runs STRONG and SMOOTH. With the addition of the lift kit and new springs it rides like new, is tight, and feels awesome. The hard top in this light blue color looks horrible so I got rid of it and ordered this custom top from Texas Tops. I couldn't tell you how many times people stop me to ask about this truck since I put the top on. Also installed are a Cobra CB radio and a stereo with a boom box, sound is excellent. I am including as many pic's as possible because I want everybody to see how immaculate and clean this vehicle is... WITHOUT even a trip to the car wash - this is just how it always looks. There are no leaks, no rattles, no problems. There is a burn hole in the seat, a large but repaired chip in windshield, and a small crack in the dash. The tires rub on really really tight turns but it's not a problem. I changed the gauge cluster out because I wanted to have A tachometer. At the time of the change the vehicle had about 90K miles and the odo in the "new" cluster was reading 153K. So you need subtract about 63K miles to be accurate. I just had the vehicle serviced at a very reputable garage, including diff changes, tranny flush and fill, oil change, 4 wheel alignment, etc. This vehicle is very very reliable, drives straight and true, and you could easily plan a cross country trip or an off-road safari without fear of mechanical problems. THERE IS NO HARDTOP OR REAR SEAT, I was going for more of a jeep type of vehicle instead of an SUV. This Bronco will surprise you it is so fun to drive. With the 5-speed tranny and V8 engine, along with the 4:11 gears, it feels like you are driving a badass 5.0 mustang GT, it's that strong. And 4x4 capabilities are amazing.. it's got the clearance, the power, the wheel base, and the pedigree to leave Jeeps crying. I am selling this truck to make room for a work truck I just bought on Ebay myself, it was a quid pro quo deal I made with my wife. :(

Weekly Recap: 2016 CTS-V gives Cadillac new momentum for the new year
Sat, Dec 27 2014It's been a rough year for Cadillac. The historic luxury carmaker been in the news for all of the wrong reasons: Declining sales, ditching its advertising agency and the relocation of its headquarters from Detroit to New York. But in late December, Cadillac reminded everyone what it does best: Build some of the rawest and most compelling luxury sedans in the world, as evidenced by the 2016 CTS-V. This monster churns out 640 horsepower from a supercharged 6.2-liter V8. Sound familiar? That's the Corvette Z06 engine, and it makes this CTS the most powerful production Cadillac ever. It also puts the sporting divisions of the Germans on notice. The new CTS-V easily overpowers the Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG S 4Matic and its 5.5-liter biturbo V8 rated at 577 hp, and the BMW M5 (with the competition pack) and its 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 that pushes out 575 hp. The rear-wheel drive Cadillac can sprint to 60 miles per hour in 3.7 seconds, which is close to the 3.5-second time turned in by the 4Matic-driven E63 S, and a bit quicker than the 4.1 seconds posted by the M5. With Magnetic Ride Control, General Motors' stout eight-speed automatic transmission (also used in the Corvette), Brembo brakes and a carbon-fiber option package that pretty much builds your car out of carbon fiber – it's clear this Cadillac means business. Truth be told, we expected this CTS-V to deliver. It's been a serious sports sedan for a decade, and the recent generation and its 556-hp arrogance have been particularly memorable. But notice what we're doing here? We're talking about product. Not who makes Cadillac's ads, or if the brand's headquarters has a mailing address in NYC. Like the 2016 ATS-V that's due in the spring, the debut of the 2016 CTS-V (on sale in late summer) is a shot in the arm for Cadillac, and its arrival comes during time of transition. The brand is trying to reinvent itself as a modern luxury maker. It wants new customers, a different image and obviously more sales. Those things are going to take time, but with a 640-hp sledgehammer of a sports sedan on tap for next year, Cadillac can still maintain some of its swagger through all of the change. Watch this week's Top Gear America used-car challenge
Sat, Sep 9 2017Top Gear America is back for the penultimate episode of the first season. Used car challenges were some of the highlights of the original UK edition. In our exclusive clip, Tom Ford, Antron Brown and William Fichtner run their $7,000 sports cars in a drag race. As expected, the trio chose very different cars for the challenge. Watch the video to see if a Subaru WRX's all-wheel drive can overcome a power deficit to beat a Ford Mustang and a Chevy Corvette. Brown and Fichtner also spend some time relaxing with an old Jeep Wagoneer. Like them, we're really hoping Jeep will bring back the Wagoneer nameplate. Brown also drives a Maserati Levante, proving that not all family cars need be boring. This week's guest star is actor, rapper and former host of Pimp My Ride, Xzibit. Top Gear America airs Sundays at 8 p.m. Eastern on BBC America. Related Video: Celebrities TV/Movies Chevrolet Ford Subaru Top Gear exclusive top gear america
Oprah at it again, gives car away on Jimmy Kimmel Live!
Sat, 17 Aug 2013Oprah Winfrey loves giving away cars. Not only has she given Pontiac G6 sedans and Volkswagen Beetle retro-mobiles to everyone in the audience of her past show, but the other night on Jimmy Kimmel Live! she gave another car away to one lucky audience member, while yelling her now-famous line: "You get a car!"
Although the acting of Oprah and Jimmy Kimmel was obviously staged for this giveaway, the reaction from the woman in the audience was genuine shock as she found out that she had just won a new Ford Fusion Energi. Congrats!
Not to take away from what Oprah and Jimmy pulled off, but our cynical sides have to wonder if there isn't more than just a little coincidence that this giveaway took place on the same day that Ford announced a fuel economy reduction for the C-Max hybrid. You be the judge... Scroll down to watch the short clip from the episode.
