1996 Ford Bronco 5.0l V8 Automatic Ice-cold A/c Cruise Control Power Rear Window on 2040-cars
Hollywood, Florida, United States
Hello, with regret I am listing my Bronco for sale only because I have to many collectibles. This beautiful Bronco looks and runs great. It is my daily driver and is dependable and solid. Very well taken care of by someone who loves broncos. This is the last year Ford ever produced the Bronco and this is a Rare find. It is an XL with automatic locking hubs, manual 4X4 shifter on the floor, rear window defrost, Cruise Control, center console, cloth headliner and the last year of Ford's legendary 5.0L V8 motor with only 109k original miles on it. My wife loves to drive this Bronco to the grocery store and I would not hesitate to take it anywhere. This truck does not leak a fluid of anything anywhere. Oil and oil filter always changed every 3,000 miles. Meticulously maintained. Southern rust free truck. Always a Florida truck.. I am the second owner. Look at the pictures of the door jams, tailgate and under carriage. Clean collectible bronco in and out. A/C is ice-cold. Pro Comp 6" full suspension lift, using coils in the front, dual steering stabilizer and leaf springs in the rear. Professionally installed by Ideal Automotive, there were no short cuts taken with this truck, even the rear sway bar was used (I have never seen or heard of a Bronco in which was lifted and the original rear sway bar was used) which is another option this truck has. NO BODY lift was used, I dont believe in body lifts, I think that is the cheapest short cut way of lifting a truck. Nothing was spared with this truck, money was no issue as I wanted it done rite. Wheels are 15" Eagle Alloy (bought from Eagle Alloy directly) tires are 35x12.50 15 LT Bfgoodrich All Terrain tires. Including full size matching spare rim and tire. Brakes are new all the way around, new OEM Ford rotors and rear drums. Wheel cylinders, hardware kit, front including all bearings and seals. At 100k truck received a full tune up, only because I am meticulous (clearly by the pictures of this Bronco). All new OEM Ford parts, as mentioned nothing was spared. New spark plugs, wires, cap and rotor. New fuel filter. Air filter was changed every oil change. New interstate battery. All new hoses and belt. New fan clutch, belt tensioner and idler pulley. Everything mentioned OEM Ford from the Ford dealership. Stainless steel exhaust. Pioneer am/fm cd stereo. Speakers sound great. Original winch bumper and Mile Marker hydraulic winch with remote. Winch and winch bumper have been on the truck since 1996. As you can see from the pictures not even the winch cable or the winch fairlead roller is rusted. If you have any further questions please feel free to ask. This Bronco needs nothing and will make the next owner proud.

Ford F-150 RaptorTrax is Ken Block's ultimate snowmobile
Tue, 21 Jan 2014Even when Ken Block isn't starring in the latest Gymkhana video or tearing up Global RallyCross courses, he's finding new ways to redefine "awesome" as it applies to motorsports. For evidence of this, look no further than Block's latest Monster-badged creation, the Ford F-150 RaptorTrax.
Billed as the "world's fastest snowcat," the RaptorTrax started life as a Ford F-150 SVT Raptor, and then a set of Mattracks were put in place where the truck's bead-locked wheels and meaty rubber once resided. The goal was to create a truck that made it easier - and presumably more fun - for Block and his buddies to hit the slopes on their snowboards. Aside from the obvious track upgrades, this truck also received a Whipple supercharger, full roll cage, Recaro seats, an in-bed snowboard rack, a roof basket and a rear-mounted winch - you know, just in case something or someone actually manages to get this truck stuck.
The RaptorTrax will be on display later this week at the Winter X Games in Apsen, CO, but we'll have to wait until next winter for a full Block-worthy video of the truck. A full press release from Hoonigan Racing Division is posted below, and a high-res image can be found by clicking above.
VW going turbo-only in 3 to 4 years
Wed, 18 Sep 2013This really was a matter of when, rather than if. Volkswagen will apparently be the first manufacturer to phase out naturally aspirated engines in favor of turbocharging its full slate. VW is kind of responsible for ushering in this push towards small-displacement, turbocharged engines that's taken the industry by storm. When it dropped its direct-injection, 2.0-liter turbo in the 2005 GTI it demonstrated that strapping an iron long to an engine can enhance the powertrain as a whole. VW made fuel economy gains, while also giving a linear, non-laggy turbo experience that it has replicated, model-after-model, to this day.
Speaking with The Detroit News, Volkswagen's executive Vice President of Group Quality, Marc Trahan, told the paper that, "We only have one normally aspirated gas engine, and when we go to the next generation vehicle that it's in, it will be replaced. So three, four years maximum."
Really, it's hard to get teary-eyed about either of these engines going away. VW has access to smaller powerplants that could easily match the performance of the 2.5 five-cylinder and the 3.6 V6, while gobbling up less fuel and providing a better driving experience. What we are sad about is that a similar statement about the extinction of NA engines came from the Vice President of Powertrain Engineering at Ford, Joe Bakaj. We'd certainly get teary-eyed over a world without Ford's excellent 5.0-liter V8.
Final 2015 Ford Edge performance and fuel economy data released
Fri, Feb 6 2015Ford unveiled the brawny look and heap of new tech of the all-new 2015 Edge last summer, and confirmed some of the pricing in November. However, until now buyers couldn't be entirely sure what they are getting for that money in terms of power and fuel economy, but the Blue Oval is finally spilling all the beans. For customers looking for performance, the Edge Sport is the place to be with its stiffer suspension and plusher interior. The trim level uses a version of the 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 found in the latest F-150, but in this case the engine is tuned to 315 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque. That's a 10 percent jump in power and 25 percent improvement in torque compared to the naturally aspirated 3.7-liter V6 in the last-gen model, according to Ford. The mill should be a bit more useable too with peak twist coming on at 2,750 rpm, rather than 4,000 rpm in the previous Edge, and the Active Noise Cancellation system should keep it quiet inside, too. Front-wheel-drive versions of the Sport get EPA-estimated economy of 18 miles per gallon city, 27 mpg highway and 21 mpg combined. Opting for all-wheel drive reduces the figures to 17/24/20, respectively. Of course, not everyone is looking for the power of the Sport trim. In a first for Ford, the standard engine for the Edge is a 2.0-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder with 245 hp and 275 lb-ft. In front-wheel-drive form, it's rated at 20/30/24 mpg or with all-wheel drive at 20/28/23. For something in the middle the naturally aspirated 3.5-liter V6 brings 280 hp and 250 lb-ft of torque and carries EPA estimates of 18/26/21 with front-wheel drive or 17/25/20 when powering all four wheels. Every powertrain gets a six-speed automatic. Sales for the latest Edge begin this spring starting at $28,100, plus $895 destination on all models. Upgrading to the Sport pushes the price up to $38,100. Performance and Power: 2015 Ford Edge Sport Certified as Highest-Performing Edge Yet • 2015 Ford Edge Sport is the most powerful Edge yet, thanks to a 2.7-liter EcoBoost® V6 making 315 horsepower and 350 lb.-ft. of torque • All-new Edge Sport, re-engineered from the ground up, features special sport-tuned suspension, specific Sport styling for exterior and interior, and a long list of available driver-assist technologies • Scheduled to go on sale this spring, pricing for 2015 Ford Edge starts at $28,100; Edge Sport starts at $38,100 – only a $500 increase from 2014 DEARBORN, Mich., Feb.
